Good Brotha’s Pizza and BBQ

Took a drive out to Mansfield today to check this place out. It was on my Facebook as a recommendation. The business has been open around a year. Met Tim Feagin the owner, he is a Navy Veteran which is a plus. The food is based on his mom's Alabama background. Inside there are a few tables and some very neat pictures hanging on the walls of past musical greats. For me background music is everything. Smooth jazz plays and provides a cool atmosphere. On to the food. Ordered the BBQ Rib tips, greens, baked beans, potato salad and peach cobbler. The rib tips were nice and tender with a nice smooth homemade sauce that has a touch of sweetness to it. Put it in a cup and I could drink it. The greens had chunks of pork in it and had the nice fresh taste. The potato salad was a mix of mustard and mayonnaise with celery, onion, red pepper and some paprika on top, it had the slightest sweetness to it. Some of the best I've tasted. Then there were the baked beans. These were rocking, kind of sweet with some type of maybe smoky flavor, give me a quart of them and they would disappear in minutes. On to the dessert, the peaches were in a nice sauce that was super tasty with the crust being nice and tender. Another thing I could eat all day. They have pizza on the menu and a number of fresh subs. Definitely a place you need to visit. Don't miss out!!!

If I could give negative stars, I would.I can only assume all good reviews came from family and friends. We were the only people in the dining room. Ordered a 14" pepperoni pizza at 4:01 pm. At 4:33 pm, the cashier came to our table (after spending 25 minutes outside visiting with his friend) and told us his cook was just starting our order.Clearly their customers have little to no value.

Good food. Really happy with everything. The wait was a little longer but I came on a day he was normally closed. I would come back.

We ordered a pizza and were the only customers dining in. Place is very small with limited seating and parking. After a half an hour of waiting the manager/ owner came to our table and apologized for the wait. He said his cook was under the weather and had been just sitting in the kitchen. We asked for a refund on our order and left. Our biggest concern was he had just told us his cook was not feeling well, SO the person preparing our food is SICK!! I don't know why he was sick, but you don't have someone that is not well preparing food. Also the manager/ owner was outside talking to one of his buddy most of the time we were there and we never even got our drinks. We Will Not Be Returning!!!

Stoped in by chance. Waited on quickly. Got a philly sandwich. Portion was large, but did not taste much like a traditional philly.

Amazing food and helpful Staff!!! Great place to stop and have a good meal!!! Southern cooking is the best!!!

This is a small, local eatery. Tim, who I think is the owner, was very friendly. It sounds like he is having trouble keeping good staff, but he went out of his way to make our visit worth it. We ordered BBQ sandwiches and sides. The food was very good. It took a while for them to prepare it because of the staffing problems. I recommend this restaurant if you're in Mansfield. Despite the issues, the experience was a good one.
