Girves Brown Derby

The only Brown Derby in our area . We love it . The steaks were good . Our waitress was excellent. Very nice spot to try .

We have been to this location three times over the past few months and have not been disappointed in any thing we gave ordered and everyone we've come in contact with has always been very friendly (ask for Niko he's the best) and he not related to us in any way. I understand not every meal at every restaurant is always going to be perfect but this meal...I literally cut the steak with a fork.

great food reasonable prices. Surprise find off the beaten track. worth the diversion if youre travelling thru .... Has a "locals gastronomy " vibe and delicious food. Cocktails were inventive and nummy! our lucky find!

I remember Brown Derby from the 1970's, and was thrilled to see this one still standing. My family has dined in this location two times so far. (Within 2 weeks). We have been so VERY pleased.The food exceeded our expectations'The main entrees salads are huge and fresh. The ranch dressing was delicious. Our steak dinner was delicious and served perfectly as ordered. The steak easy to cut and not tough at all. Great flavor. The baked potatoes are hot & fluffy!!!We have had the same female server twice. (Olivia F.)She is excellent and made our dining a pleasure!I love this steakhouse and will continue to dine here frequently and return for special occasions too. I believe they have weekly sandwich lunch specials. The ambiance is absolutely fabulous. The parking is ample and bathrooms clean.I believe they charge extra to use a credit card. A+ , I so highly recommend this restaurant.

So as you pull up you will see a very outdated building from which you don't expect when you're told this is a pricy but well worth it from friends! So and when u walk in it doesn't seem to change as far as appearance goes it's also outdated very, very much so!! The lighting is way too dim but that's just my personal opinion..... so anyways let's get to the good part yes the food the steak of course was as delicious as my friends described it! If you have ever thought of a steak being so good it almost melts right into your mouth well this is that steak lol man and I don't even like eating meet all just becuz I don't like how it gets stuck in my teeth but I've been like that since I was itty bitty lol but this steak obviously is so good I'm writing about and mouth is watering atm while doing so lmao haha so moving on. The service however that's where there lacking as far as the servers not the friendliest on the world I don't imagine but again the vibe or "ambiance" as they call it isn't the best I mean I was going to say at least it's not the worst either but........ if the owners read this man if ya'll update it and you had fresh nice clean crisp polos even for very one to (staff) to wear that place would be all around 5stars easy!!! Bcuz the foods on point just lacking everywhere else but that's a big deal so kudos to you guys you have someone that hates eating meet actually wanting to have u for dinner tonight as welll (I live almost right across the street) lol but so moral to this review DONT JUDGE A BOOK BY ITS COVER!! Recorded what I expected . It was a berry busy Saturday night and the bar staff tried to keep up with orders. I was very impressed they were cleaning all glassware with a napkin to shine! Can't go wrong with their huge baked potatoes!!! Bread and butter is delicious. Side salads were big enough to share! Sirloin steak was delicious and cooked to a perfect medium rare.

We hadn't been there in awhile, I like the new decor , no more peanuts on the floor ! Clean and decorated nicely , service was excellent, walked right in got a booth .I had the small sirloin it was excellent cooked just right with salad and sweet potato with no butter. Hubby has the New York steak strip his was a little grizzly, but he ate most of it, and we had some to bring home to the dog. A very nice evening anniversary dinner.

My wife and I just had a great meal at the Streetsboro Brown Derby. She had the shish-ka-bob, and I had a 10 oz. Filet.What enhanced the entire evening was a wonderful server, named Jordan. He was friendly, very welcoming, and attentive. We did not go without our drinks refilled, or checking in on our progress. The food was great, and we will be going again soon. We hope that Jordan is on duty that night as well.

We were looking so forward to returning to the Brown Derby but unfortunately, it was like a different restaurant. Steaks were ordered medium, arrived raw. The waiter took them back to the kitchen on our bread plates leaving baked potatoes on the steak plate to eat or get cold while waiting 10 minutes. The cook must have drenched the steak in the their oil based seasoning because all we could taste was cheap oil. Very disappointing. Management reallyneeds to rethink their service standards.

I'll start by saying I haven't been there in a long time. However, The waitress was super nice and efficient. The salads were huge and overwhelming. If I had ate that whole salad I would have been full. Used to get the bowl of salad for the table and it was perfect. The Gus's favorite 9 oz. sirloin was not at all how I remembered. The steaks could be cut with a butter knife, they were so tender. Not anymore. For $18.99, It was hard to cut and had no flavor. Wont be going back. Too much money and not satisfied.$80 for 2. Not worth my money.
