Giant Eagle Market District

No plastic baskets. Maybe they were being cleaned? Maybe tucked away? Maybe gone? Who knows. No one visible to ask.No cashiers when I brought forward the fewer items than I would have if I would have had a basket. Cash register asked if I brought bags. No. Then asks if I want to buy bags. No. Where are the free bags? In the past, my friends. I get the "plastic bags are evil" crowd, but where are my made in USA responsibly sourced paper bags? At Big Bear and Super Duper and A&P, apparently. My one star is for the vast selection of products and alcohol here, but let's be honest, you can't do zero stars on Yelp. First World problems? Of course. But I'm annoyed.

Another place where customer service went to die. The employees here always seem aggressively miserable if you engage with them, and now I know why. I had the most unpleasant interaction with store manager (?) today. I was shocked by how rude she was to me and also to the staff working. Extra star for the store always being well stocked and very clean.

Well dang! I usually go to the Ge on Sawmill or the one in Dublin near Perimeter. Lovely stores on their own, but I was advised to go to this one as it was supposedly the best on in Cbus. They weren't lying!!! I felt my inner bougie rising up while perusing the store. The mushroom station caught my eye immediately as I had not seen that in the other GE's. Clean store and really nice and helpful staff (shout out to Heidi at the door and Bonnie at the register). I think it is worth it yo check out this location for your shopping needs.

This isn't my go-to Giant Eagle because it's a little out of the way for me. However, I do stop by from time to time if I'm in the neighborhood. It seems to be larger than the one in Grandview, but it could just be a layout, which is a little weird when you're in the dairy and pharmacy sections. All in all, it is kept clean and the staff is helpful if need be. The produce section is large and everything looks to be fresh and well maintained. They also have a good number of local products. I noticed Darista Dips and a few others. I can say that I spent a good amount of time looking for items, as they aren't always where you think they would go. That's when the help from their staff comes in handy. I don't do my regular shopping here but I definitely appreciate it as a back-up option.

This was my first time at this location. I've been to another one on Sawmill Road.I kinda liked this one more. It felt really huge and open.On a Sunday evening at 7:30, it was busy in the upstairs area! Lots of students studying or socializing. It's a huge space though! And while it was busy, there were still tons of tables open.They've got complimentary water and ice and you can use their WiFi.We went downstairs a quarter til 9 and it had just about cleared out up there.They do have bathrooms up there. Multiple stalls, but the bathroom itself wasn't as large as I thought it would be.I like the color scheme in here. It's very much fall colors: Browns, dark reds, etc. It was calming.I walked around a bit with my friend to see if they still had some sushi.Score! I found a spicy California roll that was made with quinoa and brown rice. $5! It also had imitation crab, avocado, cucumber, and some kind of seasoning to give it a kick. It was just alright, but I'd love to try another kind.My friend bought 2 cases of water for $5! And she grabbed a grab and go dinner that was around $8 ish. It was meatloaf with mashed potatoes and veggies. It looked tasty! I really liked the grab and go section. They had more than just sandwiches. We used the self scan which was quick and easy.Parking lot was getting empty as it was already past 9. Where you put the carts was interesting. It's not like Kroger. It's almost like a little space in between the sidewalks.Anyway, I'll be back to hang out here some more and try the food! The gourmet food closes at 8, so I'll be sure to grab some before then!

This supermarket is fantastic! We don't have anything like this in South Florida that I'm aware of, I'm so jealous! They have a very large prepared-foods section with high quality selections, and a small bar area with beer on tap and flat screens televising sports. What more could you ask for when shopping for groceries?I must admit we were looking for a liquor store for some time and were thoroughly confused by the name "state liquor agency"...it sounds more like where a business would apply for a license to sell liquor, not where consumers buy their liquor. The selection of beer, wine, and liquor is also really big.

Tony is an absolute pleasure to interact with! His customer service is top-notch--he's friendly, attentive, and always goes the extra mile to make sure everything is just right. He listens to customers' needs, responds with professionalism, and makes the whole experience smooth and enjoyable. It's clear that he genuinely cares about providing great service!

Liquor Department:another example of lazy staff and poor customer service. I called to ask about some crown royal that they had in stock. Ryan couldn't be bothered. His training kicked in and in a very customer friendly way he told me he didn't have time and didn't know and that I would have to stop in to see if they had what I wanted. Well fuck him if I'm going to drive a distance to just be disappointed that they don't have it in stock. Gas is $3 a gallon. I guarantee that the crown royal was only 5' away from where he was answering phones. LAZY. GE do better in your training your employees if you're going to take peoples money and provide nothing in return!

Because I love this store, I ordered a half sheet cake from the bakery for a birthday party having high hopes that the bakery would be as wonderful as the rest of the store. My order was simple, I wantedfall fall colored piping on the edges and flowers in the corners.The person who took the order had a hard time hearing and we had to go over the order multiple times before I finalized it and paid for the cake. The receipt read just as I wrote above. At pick-up the cake had orange piping around the edges and a big black pick-up truck with pumpkins in the back of it and stalks of wheat. The truck and wheat covered the majority of the middle of the cake so there was no space to decorate as I had planned. This was disappointing on so may levels.This cake was for a 15 year old girls birthday. Needless to say, it wasn't even close to what I wanted or had ordered. Whtat I ordered was plain and simple. This looked cartoonish and skilless. Add to this, the cake was super dry. I paid $47 and some change for this cake. It was a total disappointment as no cut piece was finished by guests and the majority of the cake went to the trash. I will still shop the store, but never again will I order a cake from the bakery.
