Giammarco's Italian Restaurant

The food was good but not anything super impressive. Tried the garlic bread, ravioli, lasagna. I feel like I can make better lasagna at home. Staff were really nice. Even the sweet tea and water tasted off to me. My nephew didn't even want to drink the tea cause it tasted funny. I just thought it was really sweet. Same with the sauce in the lasagna, just really sweet. Again it was good but I wouldn't come here again. It's literally my sister and her husband's FAVORITE spot. So definitely try it out, you may love it. My nephew also didn't eat his tortellini- just the chicken that came with it

Well, let's start with the good. The ambiance is nice and we don't overeat. And that's where the good ends. Having lived in and around Westerville most of my life, we have been to Giammarco's numerous times. However, it's been awhile since our last visit. We won't likely be back. The service was not great. Our server seemed like she would rather be any place else other than there. She was slow and inattentive. Forgot part of our order, and never refilled any of our drinks.And on to the food. Wow. What a disappointment. Having a daughter who is allergic to wheat, we were hopeful for Gluten Free Italian. (As advertised when we called to double check and we were told by the hostess the "we have a large gluten free menu..") But, no such luck. She tried to order the gluten free pasta with Alfredo sauce, where we were assured that there was no gluten in the Alfredo. But no such luck, fortunately the server double checked and found out that they had "changed" the menu and the Alfredo sauce now contains gluten. The only Alfredo sauce that I have ever had that contains gluten was premade store bought sauce. Which is what the rest of the food tasted like. The rest of the food, Cesar salad with brown wilted lettuce, meatball that had the consistency and taste of store bought frozen, lasagna at a whole other level of not good. Which is why we didn't overeat!If you're into store bought Italian, give it a shot. Otherwise, I would recommend other great local options.

Great service, no wait, cozy atmosphere, & fantastic food! Today is my birthday & our dinner was amazing. Our server was Emma, she was absolutely perfect from start to finish! Our table ordered the zucchini fritti & toasted ravioli, both great. The complementary bread was good. The lasagna was gigantic with a perfect combo of ingredients & sauce. My spaghetti & meatballs with capellini noodles was not basic. I ordered extra meatballs to take home because I ate all 3! My son ordered the chicken parmesan & loved it. Thumbs up from everyone! We will be back again

Was in Westerville tonight so I stopped at Giammarco's Italian Restaurant for chicken marsala and fried zucchini fritti. The chicken marsala was good but the broccolini and quartered potatoes were just ok. Next time I'll order some different sides.The fried zucchini fritti was disappointing. Seemed like freshly sliced zucchini strips but the batter coating left them pretty limp. Kinda a miss for me. Order was ready in 20 minutes so I didn't have to wait long but overall the $34 meal (+$5 tip) was just ok. I would have given this a 3.5 rating.

So, stop waiting until you lose ten pounds, until you gain ten pounds, until you have kids, until your kids leave the house, until you start work, until you retire, until you get married, until you get divorced, until Friday night, until Sunday morning, until you get a new car or home, until your car or home is paid off, until spring, until summer, until winter, until your song comes on, until you've had a drink.... there is no better time than right now to be happy.

Always a great meal every time I have been there. I was introduced to this restaurant by a friend. Great service and good quality Italian cuisine. Will definitely be back

Our firat timw here and the food was good but not the best we've had. Service was good and the place was nice. Kids enjoyed their food and so did the wife. It would be nice if you got bread at the beginning of your meal to munch on. Didn't realize the kids menu was all a la cart and the applesauce wasn't included. Guess we need to read the menu better. Next ti.e we will try the Gelato.

Remember how family restaurants used to be?? Remember how people used to treat others with kindness and respect? Well, that's Giammarcos. Pleasant atmosphere, great food, cozy, great service, people laughing and enjoying themselves, feels like family. It's a a place that you want to stick around just to hang out with friends, or bring your mom to. These type of places are hard to come by. And few leave a mark on your family like Giammarcos has left on mine.NEVER have we eaten at Giammarcos and had a bad time. They treat you like family and will NOT let you leave unhappy. I'll share some examples from our handful of visits, and explain why we will keep coming back.1. First time we tried a dinner with my toddler- the server was so polite and made sure he had fun while we waited for our food. We were even given a free piece of homemade carrot cake at the end, just because it was our first time there! Such a treat! 2. One time we sat down and our son was having a hard time- his little fingers poked through the styrofoam cup and water spilled everywhere, we were so embarrassed but the waiter returned right away with a replacement and helped us clean up, no problem. They really took care of us.3. We came on a BUSY Friday afternoon after walking away from an hour wait somewhere else... we arrived agitated, but agreed to wait 40 mins so we could sit down as a family. It ended up being more like 50 mins, so we almost left, but just as soon as I thought about it, the host offered my son a roll and applesauce because it took longer than expected. We finally had to sit at a high top where the live music was so it was pretty loud (we didn't mind). We quickly ordered a pizza, it came out SO fast, it was delicious, we ate and asked for a box. when it came time to pay, they COMPED OUR WHOLE BILL! We were shocked! It was so nice of them to recognize that it was hard to keep our toddler entertained for an hour, and that the wait was longer than they predicted. So nice of them to do that for my family-- I almost cried!Our experiences really solidified that Giammarcos really cares about their patrons and wants to develop lifelong customers. We WILL be back (maybe next time, with a reservation) Just go to Giammarcos. You will not be sorry! I will recommend them to everyone I know.

Party of 6 with reservations. We were seated indoors - but next time we will ask for outdoor seating. There was LIVE music and the patio area is amazing! We ordered appetizers, zucchini frites, meatballs and mozzarella sticks. Those came out quickly along with our drinks. One ordered the spicy jalepeno pickle margarita - and wow. It doesn't sound good, but really is very tasty. Chicken Parmesan with side of spaghetti is HUGE and the lasagna as well. We took our leftovers home for lunch the next day. This is great family owned restaurant with great service and food. They have a great happy hour too!!!
