Stopped in first in the beginning of November, and then came back closer to Christmas! This place is packed with seasonal decor, cute vintage second hand clothing, great items for gifting, and a DOG (not for sale but adds to the allure). Both times I stopped in the service was friendly, there was a bit of a wait checking out but the line continued to move. They have a large variety of goods as mentioned above, and definitely something for everyone! Price ranges, and quality is great! I can't believe I hadn't found this gem before, and I'm excited to go back once again when the season changes.

Georgie's is a sweet little shop in Canal Winchester. Canal itself is a lovely small town with several shops and eateries to spend an afternoon. A spacious store, much larger than the previous location, where you can find shabby style, vintage, clothing, jewelry, candles, some furniture and other decor. A great place to find gifts and a relaxing place to shop. They are only open Thursday, Friday and Saturday. Roomy parking lot which is a plus.

Where do I start!? If you like farmhouse/boho aesthetic, this place is for you! Georgie's is so calming and serene just to window shop but have so many lovely items for yourself or for gifts. Just looking around my living room and kitchen, I have counted 26 items I've bought in the past year or so! You don't buy that much from a place that isn't competitively priced, has amazing staff and unique items to decorate. In addition to the stock, Polly will sometimes sprinkle in vintage finds and has her "makers" that contribute everything from candles (burning one now) to beautifully painted pictures, jewelry and pottery among other things. The vintage clothing are top notch brands in ALL sizes including plus size which is so rare these days. Polly, Mick and the store pooch mascot, Pippa are welcoming, eager to answer questions and Mick will even help you load up the heavier items if you need the muscle. They are half the reason we frequent them so often and it has been a joy to watch their business evolve over the years. We shopped there when they were a teeny shop you could barely move in, the a slightly bigger shop in the CW historic center to the current spacious set up that allows you wander without bumping into people. You always feel like family at Georgie's!How they have handled the global pandemic is nothing short of a model for every business out there. This is the only place I feel safe getting some sanity as they clean regularly, have hand sanitizer available at several points throughout the store and contactless payment with a vintage window partition. Big business could learn a thing or two. Polly will occasionally do Facebook Live where she will allow people to "shop" the store virtually with her that are not comfortable shopping in person. She will invoice you and arrange for pickup or shipping on smaller items. Business hours during the pandemic have been Thurs and Fri 2-6pm and Sat 12-4pm.We have a 30 minute drive for our shopping trips and it's worth it! Look for the vintage truck "Gerty" out front and head to the back of the building to start shopping!

Self described as "vintage, shabby, handmade, home." That about covers it. This very small shop connected to the larger Sticks and Stones Studio next door features less home decor and furniture than it's neighbor but more personal items like apparel and jewelry. It's here where you might find a smaller, personal gift for a female friend. There was an interesting collection of dresses and some red cowboy boots, which I of course has to take a photo of.Keep your eyes open from the street for there's no sign, just lettering in the window.

When I need a unique gift for a friend for a birthday or special occasion, I go to Georgie's. It is also quickly becoming the place to go to get decorating ideas for our 200 y/o Home. I love, love their new bigger space and am already planning another trip soon to get more items for my home decorating projects. I just have to pace myself a little.

This place is in need of a complete overhaul. New employees, management or customer service training plus it is WAY overpriced. When they first opened they had fantastic managers and employees who greeted everyone with a smile. It has changed completely. Shelves are overflowing with overpriced junk that will cause an avalanche if you try to touch anything. They actually sell used and new used items for more than the original store sells. They price dollar tree items for 1.29and up. Today they had new IKEA curtain rod finales for 3.29 per item and they are 1.00 at IKEA. This is just a small example. Everything in the store is overpriced. They will price 20 year old stained name brand items so high just because of the name. It's insane. The lady who does the pricing is out of control and to top it off they're the rudest employees I've ever encountered. The cashier today was belligerent with me because I asked if it made sense to sell items MORE than the original stores do. He made a big scene and was loud in front of other customers. I was also told that the manager wouldn't care or do anything about it so I left my items and and said I didn't want anything because of how rude he was. As I was leaving he made another smart ass remark. Stay away from this poorly managed store unless you like over paying and poor customer service.

Fair warning. If your are a "maker" do not even think about bringing your items into the shop for consignment consideration. You will be told in a not so nice manner that you need an appointment and that bringing handmade items into the shop spoils the "vibe" for other shoppers. I was not aware of this policy. I had some friends with me and when I told them it was a wasted trip that we needed an appointment (one drove 1&1/2 hours) the owner of the shop Polly, rudely asked me if I was complaining. I simply stated I was letting them know the policy. Polly said she didn't appreciate my complaining in her place of business. My friends came to shop but the experience at that point was ruined. We told her we were leaving and she said then just go and followed us to the door and literally waved us out the door. Mind you, the shop was busy and other customers overheard the confrontation, so now who was ruining the store's vibe. I noted on the same day Polly posted that she is not taking any new makers and she does not buy merchandise in the store. I will not be patronizing this store or recommending to my friends. It was a very un professional experience.
