Gallop’s Bar and Kitchen

We stopped in on Valentine's day, our first visit to Gallop's. They offered a rose and chocolate to guests as you entered, so cute! They also offered a coupon discount that night. Service was friendly and good. I had the veggie wrap and fries, so good and had a great lunch of leftovers the next day. My husband enjoyed the wings and pizza. They have a good selection of beer and adult beverages, it's also family friendly. Definitely recommended.

Glad to see the pizza is amazing as prior owner's. If anything, a minor improvement in the sauce (no more cane sugar). My family and I had a great meal last night. We went in hungry and thinking of leftovers (and to retest our favorites from prior ownership to make sure they were still great). Everything was wonderful and so was the service staff. The enormous plate of pork rinds is still a crazy order (it's a cake sheet full). I was really looking forward to trying this place, but unfortunately, it was a letdown. We ordered a 14" pepperoni pizza, pierogis, and a kids' quesadilla. The pierogis were decent, but the pizza fell short. The sauce tasted like something out of a pizza lunchable, and the pepperoni had a strange flavor. For $22, I expected much better.Service started off fine, but things got a bit uncomfortable when we declined a box for the leftover pizza. I wasn't planning to say anything about the food, but after the server asked a few times if we were sure, I explained that we just didn't enjoy it. The kitchen manager came out to ask what was wrong but seemed dismissive, acting like there couldn't possibly be an issue with the pizza. She did offer a 20% discount, which was appreciated, though it only took about $4 off.The location is great, and I think the restaurant has potential, but it seems like the kitchen manager might benefit from more training or experience with pizza-making. Sadly, based on this visit, I can't recommend the place. That said, it might just come down to personal taste, and others may enjoy it more.

A few things here. The food is fine, nothing spectacular, but its ok. The service is lacking. I've been in about 4 or 5 times now and it's been hit or miss. One time will be excellent, the next will be absolutely horrific. For example the other day me and my daughter came in to eat around 8:40/5 time frame. We were actively ignored by the waitstaff and bar tender even when I went up to the bar and loudly tried to get their attention. By the time the server finally came up it was a few minutes after 9 and we were informed the kitchen closed at 9pm. I suppose it was our fault to wait that long while being ignored and expect decent service, however I would expect somewhere it to be noted their kitchen and the restraunt have different closing times.
