Frenchi’s Deli

Stopped in the other day for my favorite Buckeye and was so excited to learn that Frenchi is building out a space so they can eventually bake classic French breads and pastries in-house! He's having a French pastry chef come share his skills with Frenchi and his team. What's not to be super excited about?! Bring on the carbs!!As always, Monsieur Frenchi was nothing but kindness and the sammies were perfect. I love that he's part of our culinary community and hope everyone supports his local small business!

Really solid sandwich. I saw someone post their Buckeye, and it sounded great, and I was nearby a couple of days later. I stopped in at lunchtime, and they had a steady stream but weren't slammed. The staff were excellent: the owner, I assume his wife, and another prep guy. Everyone was friendly and helpful and worked together. They have crêpes too, but since I didn't have Kid K along, I passed. You can get a hoagie bun, a wrap, or rye bread. I went with a Buckeye hoagie. So basically a sub with roast beef, pastrami, and turkey. Plus whatever sauces and toppings you want. I got chipotle sauce, lettuce, and tomato, very thinly sliced red onions, and the banana peppers. Held together very well. The bread was very fresh, though a bit too much dough maybe for the sandwich. Everything was tasty and blended together well, both tastes and textures. I will be back for a few other menu items. It is convenient to campus, and prices are reasonable for the modern day. Small parking lot, but there were some openings.

Yum! Great service and a delicious sandwich. Ingredients are fresh, the worker we had was knowledgeable and friendly, with a mellow vibe, he gave great advice. This spot has what many cubs sandwich spots fail l to do well: a variety of great toppings that *aren't just actually mayonnaise*. The heyvhave mayonnaise and mayo stiff too- but it's hard to get a great sandwich in town without mayo. Frenchi's nails it! Definitely recommend.

You guys need to try this!This place serves very good sandwiches! My husband got 'La tour Eiffel' and it's No.1 the most recommend! The bread was toasted to perfection, they source high quality and super tasty meat! I also ordered my sandwich for my next day lunch, so I got cold sandwich. I have to say that I love it soo much. I don't know much about sandwich so I let the owner recommend me one with all kind of toppings and turkey and salami! So so so good! You guys just have to try and you will come back again and again...like us! :DI love my crepe too! I wish I can eat right away, generous topping.The owner and his guy were so kind and very nice. This place will be my go-to for sandwich foreverrrrrr!

I start so many of reviews with, "I've been wanting to come here forever, and I'm so glad I did!" This is one of those places. I told the guy working this, and he said, "Well, where have you been!" It's that kind of "welcome in folks!" vibe, complete with a bubbly employee and open door, even on a rainy night. (I didn't catch his name and wish I would have asked if he was the owner. I wouldn't be surprised if he was, but either way, he was so friendly and knowledgeable. He was really enthusiastic about the whole menu and made me, a world-hating introvert, smile and laugh talking about sandwiches.)I got a simple smoked turkey sandwich on hoagie bread with chipotle mayo, lettuce, tomato, mushrooms, oil and vinegar (I think, whatever was recommended), and salt and pepper, hot. I wouldn't have ordered the chipotle mayo, oil and vinegar, or salt and pepper on my own, but all of the employee's recommendations were spot on. Normally, I actively avoid chipotle because I just don't like the taste or how it hurts my stomach, depending on where I get it. But I'm so glad I was convinced to try it. It was subtle but tasty and gave the sandwich the perfect little bit of spice. It was such a simple sandwich but so so good that I was sad that I had promised my partner half of mine lol. It was filled with enough meat that I was full after eating the smaller half. I will definitely be back here and can't wait to try more!Note: There is no seating, so this is take-out only unless you want to sit on the curb... which some people did, so no judgment there.

Columbus is definitely missing out on deli sandwiches, and Frenchi's begins to scratch that itch. Simple interior, sandwiches to go. I ordered the Le Buckeye (#5), they suggest topping it with lettuce, tomato, onion, and chipotle mayo, and I added jalapeños. All of the vegetables were super fresh and the hoagie roll was solid. Meats were sliced fresh as well. No-nonsense sandwich place, excellent!I was hoping to try the corned beef but they were out the night I was there, which was unfortunate. In any case, the hoagie itself was very good. I will definitely be returning to try a pastrami sandwich and the crepes, which looked fantastic. If the pastrami by itself is as good as the sandwich, this might be a five star ordeal.

Absolutely love the fresh made sandwiches, honestly as good as it gets. Moreover, "Frenchie" is the reason, he is the difference maker & what a friendly & terrific man. Will be returning often!

I know a lot of people in Cbus are missing Neighbor's Deli. Frenchi's won't match the size of those Neighbor's sandwiches, but they will match - and even exceed - the flavor. I was ordering for two, getting a pastrami hoagie for my wife and what I thought was going to be a smoked turkey wrap for me. True to other Yelp reviews, the owner steered me in a better direction to the Buckeye which featured turkey, roast beef and pastrami. The meats, custom toppings, homemade chipotle sauce and the garlic & herbs tortilla blended beautifully. The pastrami hoagie was no slouch, but I'm looking to return to try more specialty sandwiches in wrap form for sure.

Delicious! We ordered three sandwiches and all were amazing. There just aren't enough great sandwiches places in Clintonville (and this is a bit north, but . . . ) Northstar is so good, but I don't want have to take out a mortgage on my house in order to continue eating there. :) Subway is serviceable, but nothin special. Frenchi's is the real deal--fresh ingredients, correct proportions, and what a great value!! We will be back. Love this place.

Best sub I've had in a long time. Delicious! Fresh ingredients, personal touches, great service. Highly recommend.
