We love coming here as Scott and Cathy are very friendly and hospitable. Wines are good and the pizza is excellent. We especially enjoy the Saturday night dinners out on the deck. A real gem in the middle of nowhere!, ha!

We visited this location on a recent ladies wine weekend. It was our first visit which was easy to find using GPS and signs posted along their road. The location has lots of grapes and a beautiful balcony where you can view them. We sat at the bar and were guided through a tasting based on our preferences. Everything we tasted was absolutely delicious and we ended up bringing a few bottles home. We look forward to enjoying those and visiting again in the future.

My husband and I stopped while in the area and we absolutely LOVED everything about the winery. Friendly owners, amazing wine, beautiful scenery, and we loved greetings from Buzz :) We left with a case of wine and we are planning a trip over in the next week or so to stock up for our winter stash, (2.5 hours) and well worth the drive. So happy we stumbled upon this gem.

French Ridge Vineyards, I read about in the monthly sip magazine from Ohio several months ago. It was an interesting story about the owners. I found they had a website and lodging. I decided let's go here one weekend to stay in the cabin and explore the area for wine. When you turn off US Highway 62 on to a dirt road, you do not think it's far but it appears to be least a mile or 2 of dirt road. The phone signal is lost for a period of time and works but it's not a great signal. You're out in the sticks. Which isn't a bad thing. We checked in and it was very nice when you walk inside. The inside area is quite small. The exterior on the back deck has a lot of room and provides a decent amount of space for visitors. The place is beautiful. We checked into the cabin and they're amazing. They have two cabins on the property. They're both in walking distance of the winery. We stayed in the one way far back. It's big enough for up to 4 people. They have a single bed, bathroom, one open area for dining. It smells like cedar wood. Smells great. It's like one of those small houses you see on TV. But when you're 6-7 like me everything is too small including the shower. I had to bend my knees to take a shower. Not their fault, that's on me for being a giant. :)Ok, the winery owners warned us that you may hear a gunshot in the am hours. That's the owner scaring off the deer eating his crop being the grapes. He has an 8-foot fence surrounding the vineyards, but they sometimes make it in still. The wine is good. I like dry red and white wines. They have 3 dry reds and a couple of dry whites. I liked the wines. If you like red then try the "Indulge" it's a dry red that is like a Merlot with Cab Franc and Cab. It's very good and worth the taste. If you stay on their property the wine tastings are free, and you get free wine tastings at Heritage Winery as well.Only one negative setup back if you're staying at the cabin. When you take a shower you will smell a foul odor. I think that they are using well water. It smells like a sulfur, or rotten eggs. Keep that in mind.Overall it was a great experience. The owners were really nice. They came outside and talked to us for a while. They were really nice people that have a nice winery out in the middle of no where. But all wineries are like that. Check them out.

We had the same experience Hannah did (see above).Terrible reception and there definitely was attitude from the hosts. The male was condescending. We sampled their dry reds. My sister sampled the sweeter wines. We dumped most of the samples, they were undrinkable. I am suspect of all the great reviews. We are very experienced wine drinkers, been to wineries all over the globe and recommend you avoid this place!

wine was pretty good, however, the staff is very unwelcoming and I felt like I was bothering them when we did a tasting. was only there for an hour, shorted time I've ever spent at a winery. These folks need to learn how to be more hospitable or their business is going to fail
