The only reason I am giving this review two stars instead of one is because Jess made up for some of Linda's bad customer service. So, here's what happened. I have two pictures that were pre-matted from many years ago. I love them both, and unfortunately the one is a very delicate collage- hence I want to get it framed so it doesn't deteriorate further. When I came into the store, Linda was the one that greeted me. Given the size of the pictures, she immediately went to the $65 poster special. Unfortunately, the frames are only black, silver, and gold, and I wasn't sure what I wanted.... after 5 minutes. She was very snippy with me on several accounts. When she first saw the pictures she said the $65 because she obviously didn't think I could afford or pay for it something else. Actually, her exact words were " It's not worth it for you to frame these." Well, since I walked into your store -it is worth it to me. She was very judgmental about the one that was a collage. I had mentioned that I did them in high school, and I recognize that I look young -but I'm almost 40. She clearly thought I was a college kid that couldn't afford to be in the shop. But, frankly, even if I was- her judgement is not needed or appropriate. So, I was already a bit annoyed because she made that comment within about 40 seconds of me walking into the store. Since the matting I had used originally was very old I was also considering new matting (she was also snippy about those prices). She immediately pulled out a grey color and said this one. I said I like it, but I can't go with Grey because of the color scheme of my house. I would like to look at white or cream. "Well, white doesn't look good on pictures -I don't know what you want." Wow.Linda -it's been two minutes, and I told you I wanted to look at white. The tension basically escalated from there. Then she told me that the white fabric matting was too expensive for me and I could only get the black, gold, or silver.Well frankly, I didn't like any of them. So, I asked about the other 200+ frames in the store that was not the black, gold, and silver she pulled out. She snipped again. "Well I can't go through every one of these and tell you how much they cost. I have to get back to work. I have too much to do."I hate to break it to you -but I AM your work. I should have just walked out right there and frankly, I wish I had but I didn't feel like driving to another framing store. So I said, "Let me look around and when I decide what I want I'll come get you. That way you can do back to work." Then, ironically she didn't leave. "I need for you to decide, I can't wait here all day." So I said, "I'm not asking you to wait for me, I said I wanted to look around." "You'll have to make up your mind." "I hear that, I would like to look around and I'll come find you when I decided what I want." This whole interaction happened in less than five minutes and it was very bizarre. I have never had to ask to look around a store before - that's the point of walking into a store.Anyway, about another 5 minutes later, I made my decision - and it was not the poster special. She took the order was still a bit snippy. But I ignored her. We talked about the back of the frame for the collage. I said that I needed to be able to access it because it was delicate. She said that they could not screw it and use the pin things that keep it in place instead. I said, ok that sounds good, just as long as I can access it. Before she took the picture, I asked her to hold it horizontally because it was delicate -naturally she didn't. I said "Wait be careful." She said "no it's fine, I'm not going to look anything." Well, yeah that didn't happen. So, a week later I pick up the order and there were two people there -Linda and Jess. Jess was helping me and Linda walked over and said " It's fine you don't need to look at the picture." Didn't even say hi, was not the one helping me. Well, actually I do need to look at the picture because if something's not right -and it wasn't right, I wanted it taken care of before I took it home.So naturally, several things were wrong. my original matting was sliced and the backing that they put in the frame didn't even fit correctly. Frankly my highschool matting job was more professional than what they did. On top of my matte being sliced, they removed my original backing (a piece of paper) and cut out where I had signed it and glued it on that bad backing board. Third problem- part of the collage was missing. Forth Problem -they double-sided taped it to my matte! I was so clear about that I needed to access the picture -Why wouldn't you tell me that you'd cut up my picture and tape on a new Board!?Only thing Linda said was "Wasn't me" and walked away. Jess at least had the sense to ask "what can I do to make it better?" They did replace the mat- correctly within an hour, but I still wanted the original paper and Linda made it an overall bad experience.

We were in the area for a Yelp Elite event and this place caught our eye so we popped in and took a quick look around. The store is very clean and well organized and their variety of their items was impressive. We found a ton of OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY items that we would be more than happy to display in our house !The staff was friendly and we will be back when we have more time to look around

I've been going here for almost a decade. So process that first. For the first half of that, most of my business there was for work. Lots of framed shots of buildings in conservative rich, wood-trimmed frames and matting. It was quality work. Affordable, too. I live nearby, and thankfully my job gave me the creative discretion to go to an *actual* professional framer than doing it at one of the big box craft retailers. Over the years I continued to patronize the establishment with similar jobs, but this year, finally, I was able to save up and use their services for the framing of a deeply personal item that will eventually be used as a gift.Just like this recent personal project, and those that came before, their advice to me is always a convincing combination of competence, fun candor, and kindness evidenced by years of experience. Whenever soliciting the service of a design professional, you must first recognize it's partially collaborative. You're asking someone to actualize your vision through their lens and creative process. I love tapping their brains and suggestions while offering my own, and since the recent job was a personal project, I told them that I wanted to really spread the wings of creativity and break out of the box of the usual standard fare they sometimes have to deal with and that I, too, was guilty of inflicting upon them in the past. Highly recommended. Their materials are top shelf and selection robust. Their preservative solutions, including museum-class glass, are designed to keep your cherished artifacts, artwork, photos and mementos fresh and unaffected by exposure to the elements. I will definitely continue to use their services as needed to keep my memories front of mind forever, hanging in places of prominence, enshrined behind the sanctity of glass, wood, and metal cobbled together by the diligent hands of a craftsman who cares for the process as much as you do.

I visited this store briefly when I was in the area. The framed photos in the window caught my eye, so I decided to walk in and see what else they offered. I was promptly greeted by a friendly lady who offered to help. I just wanted to look around and take pictures for Yelp and she did not mind at all. They have a huge selection of frames that can be assembled to fit various picture sizes. They have prints that can be purchased without a frame and prints that are already framed. This is a great place to find nice prints or if you need something customized, I am confident this place could meet your needs.

Great customer service! and they have coupons, cool. I recently bought a mat and frame for a print I bought at a local art show. It was a European looking watercolor. It was very detailed, so I wanted my frame and mat to be pretty basic.I was brought probably 20 different options, with no hesitation. They are quite willing to help and totally understand the decision process of a novice art collector. With my 25% off coupon I found in the Tri-Village Quarterly Magazine, the total for glass, double mat and frame was about $250. Eek, kind of steep, but I knew to expect that with a custom frame. As I waited for some final details, I shopped around and found another really cool print. It looks like Greek sods swimming. Hey, I was a swimmer and had been to Greece, it worked for me. It was a small print, 8 1/2 x 11, I think. It was probably $5.00, so I bought it. It's hanging in my living room. I pretty much love it....actually a little more so than the $250 frame job I got. Oh well. When the economy turns around, I'll totally go back the the Framing Center to have it redone.

Last week I took a portrait in to be framed. I told them how I wanted it framed and also matted. They asked me if they could make a suggestion. Needless to say I said yes. What the young lady suggested was much better than what I had thought I wanted. I was called when it was ready to be picked up (2 days early). The finished framing, matting, etc. was more than I could have hoped for! Quality of work was outstanding. Customer service was outstanding also! I highly recommend this Framing Center for all your framing needs!

I recently went into the framing center to get a price on some OSU artwork that I needed framed. Upon entering I knew my experience was not going to be good when after waiting about 5 minutes a woman came to the counter and said... "what do you need"I had a pretty good idea of what I wanted because I had just come from JoAnns and already had a quote so I figured I would start there. After explaining what I wanted she quickly replied "Well if you are looking to frame it like everyone else who has an OSU themed room then by all means do that... OR you could TRY to be different and think outside what everyone else does.Shocked as I was about the comment I proceeded to ask for a quote on what I already seen to get an idea if dealing with a stuck up, unprofessional (and not well groomed) salesperson here was worth my time (after driving 30 minutes to get there)My quote from JoAnns was $447 before their 50% coupon, extra 20% off, and $20 off end total brought me to $158 and change. The clerk quoted me $291 and change and I asked why it was so high, as they advertise better pricing than JoAnns and Micheals.I quote:"Well if I apply a 25% coupon to your total it brings you to $218 which still beats their 50% price.JoAnns doesnt make money on framing, its just another ploy to get you into the store to buy other things. The employees there have no idea what they're doing and everything is sent off. We're a small company of 20 people and all we do is frame and we do it here.If you want to pay for price over quality then go to JoAnns. At this point I thanked her for her time and walked out the door STUNNED over my experience.Moral of the story is:JoAnns has excellent customer service and great pricing... but only with coupons. The Framing Center has stuck up employees, higher pricing, and an attitude that they are better than the Big Box.Do yourself a favor and avoid the Framing Center....Unless of course you have extra money to blow and like being talked down to.

I've had this place do two jobs for me and both were flawless! The main reason I rated this place 5 stars though was because of the customer service, it was excellent! I dealt with two different reps and both times they were friendly, knowledgeable and professional! I will be back for all my framing needs!
