READ BEFORE APPLYING! After living here for a little while I realized all the bullshit in this complex. Shit parking, pools suck (not heated), rent is insanely high for zero reason. The fire alarms go off randomly when there's no fire(happened 8 times since I've been here). No in house gym. The gym that is open to the public just down the road is still $45 for residents and the equipment is minimal considering the $45 membership every month. My car was hit on the side of the road which is the only way you can park your car for free. They said "it's not on Jeffery park property so we aren't responsible and we have no cameras by the building so tough luck". If you want a parking spot you get bent over for $150 a month and even if you are willing to pay you have to find one available which never happens. They give the people that "own" the spot the ability to rent the spot out to people. Cool and all but it completely removes the opportunity to get one for yourself because no one ever sells it. Your last option is the parking garage WHICH IS STILL $100 a month and even if you "own" the spot (auto-pay monthly) they can rent it out to someone else and kick you out with no heads up. Speaking from experience. I share the email chain but it's not worth reading. They have a community area that has the potential to be super nice but all the equipment in there like the pool table and pool sticks are destroyed. The dart board is falling apart and ALL the darts are broken. It's a 24/7 area but if the security guard sees you in there past 11 he will ask you to leave. That is also a personal experience. Says 24/7 on the door but he walked in and said we had to leave because " they changed the rules". I called the next day and the people in the office had no clue what I was talking about and that there was no rule change. Last thing, although the complex is nice it's surrounded by areas that aren't as nice. Friend of mine had her car stolen out from right in front of the building a month or so ago. Again only spot to park for free. She told the people in the office and she got the same response I did when my car was hit. As you can see when I first moved here I was very excited and living in the big city is enough to make you look past the issues. After living here for a year I realized how shitty it is. Don't live here unless you HAVE to be close to high street otherwise it's impractical and what you spend on rent and utilities is ridiculous for this subpar apartment complex.Maintenance will be constant. Once one thing is fixed something else will break. Windows fall out of the slides, dryer won't dry clothes, dishwasher leaks, etc. We moved in last August and in November our AC broke. We had to bitch and complain for SIX months to get it fixed. They claimed they "couldn't get anyone in to fix it". Which I find hard to believe because every person that lives in Jeffery park gets fucked on rent every month. They are 400-600 dollars more than anywhere else. On top of all that they use two different company's for the electric now and we have some friends that live in a different building who is still on the "old" provider and they electric is significantly less than ours. Makes no sense. Unless you HAVE to be close to high street don't even stop and look. Fuck this place. Wouldn't recommend to my worst enemy. The guy I live with agrees with every subject on this review along with our friend who's car was stolen and a guy we made friends with down the hall. We are all RUNNING out of this place.

Having lived here for almost 3 years, I think that should speak volumes alone. Italian village has seen a lot of growth over the past few years. There are so many great places to go in the neighborhood and you're a short 7 minute walk to get to High Street. Safety has never been an issue, I should know..I walk my dog at least 3 times a day at all hours of the night and I have never had a problem. I am a female walking by myself if that puts anything into perspective. The apartment itself is great! Spacious balcony, hard flooring throughout, carpet in the bedroom, nice finishes and large windows. There is plenty of storage and if you needed more they offer storage rooms on the first floor. I have never had any sound issues with my neighbors and if I did, I know management would have no problem addressing it.The pool is great, and as far as the comments for the rent a cop at the pool-- I am perfectly fine with that..why wouldn't you want them to limit the amount of people at your pool? I think it's great because if I am paying rent, I think I deserve a chair more than the 5 friends you want to bring in. The pool is clean and at the end of the year they throw a party for your pups and that is my dog Bear's favorite day.Maintenance is great and I have never had an issue with having them respond to my requests. Let's not forget the nice young lady that keeps the property clean, I enjoy getting off the elevator and smelling that clean scent! The ladies in the office are helpful and they make sure our packages are kept safe and you don't have to worry about people stealing your packages. Management is top notch and I can't say that enough. There are not many places that would understand my love of big dogs and I am so glad the Foundry does. I would recommend this complex to anyone.

I lived here for over 2 years so something must be good about it right? The apartment was beautiful. I had a 1 bedroom for 2 people and there was plenty of storage. The finishes were nice and it felt expensive. The layout was great, had an awesome patio & I loved the floor-to-ceiling windows. We didn't have any problems with the construction being cheap as some other reviewers say. We rarely heard our neighbors and they had a newborn baby. The location was really great, too. But I have to say, management clearly is out to make money. They had an issue with a small electric grill we kept on the patio for almost 2 years. Suddenly their insurance policy changed and I couldn't even store it on the patio. The pool was okay. It's dirty & small and they have a mall cop to make sure you don't bring more than 2 friends. I brought more than 2 friends all the time and she never said anything but I feel like I was being monitored at recess. And fix that damn gate! It's been broken for 2 years now. Mail & packages. This is 2017. I got about a package a week and it was NEVER delivered to my door or put in my mailbox. I don't know if this is an issue with other apartment complexes or if the mailman is just lazy or something but it's very inconvenient. Parking was a real pain. So if you have a problem with parallel parking a few streets over than go live in Grandview. They're real buttheads about lots with passes and such but I got over it. Two thoughts about the management team. The girls in the office are super nice and friendly. But they will rip you off so read your lease very closely. The pickle I got myself into was a result of my not reading the lease close enough but they could've been a lot more accommodating considering we lived there for almost 2 and a half years.

So take this with a grain of salt as I have only been here for a month. My apartment was clean, appears well constructed and everything is working. I find the choice of colors, woods, etc to be very clean and trendy. I have not had any concerns regarding safety or the fast response time / friendly attitudes of the management staff. The other residents have been kind and friendly. Now the downsides: constant construction. They have been pouring concrete twice this month before 4am. I had to stay at my boyfriends to avoid the noise. The construction has also left my car covered in a permanent film of dust. There are also large rocks in the road where the residents park on the street, posing issues for your car/tires. All that being said, the noise level is still quite manageable regarding this. However, the noise from my upstairs neighbor is almost unbearable. The stomping, dropping of items, dragging chairs across the floor.. most of the time past 1030pm, even waking me up at 1230 am twice on a weekday. Finally.. PARKING. The absolute biggest issue in my opinion. They will tell you there is ample street parking. There is not. I have parked blocks away before in the evening after work. My boyfriend has parked up to 6 blocks away due to lack of parking and does not like coming to my place because of this. We are essentially at the end of the streets so it's not like we're right off short north getting lots of bar / restaurant patrons parking near us. I am on a waitlist for an assigned (covered or uncovered) space.. moved in on 4/5, told that there were like 12 ahead of me. So clearly more people want assigned parking than is available. Apparently they are building a parking lot/garage on the next block, but they are also adding more and more units like crazy. If construction noise and parking are deal breakers, might want to look elsewhere. If you can deal, then to me, it's otherwise been overall quite positive.

This place was great the first year, with ample free parking and fairly cheap "downtown" rent. Now rent has increased and parking sucks since the rest of Jeffrey Park is going up and moving in. You might be able to get on a waitlist for a $100/mo covered spot which may or may not be close to your apartment! I believe most of the street parking is going away eventually and feels like a long term problem here even with the garage going up on the east side (for the entire Jeffrey Park). It's a huge project that was built quick / cheap so you can hear everything above you- paying up for the 3rd floor is well worth it if possible. Hoof Hearted brewery is basically on-site and has awesome beers and ok food. Go-fitness is also on-site, but no longer free for Foundry and feels at-capacity during rush hours already.

Very poorly constructed building and management treats the residents like internment camp workers. Unsafe neighborhood--do not walk around outside at night. They hired a rent-a-cop who focuses more on noise complaints than making sure residents are safe at night. Location is right by train tracks, major highway and construction sites so don't expect much sleep here. Plus rent is way too high for a building that is falling apart only a year after it was built.

i lived at the Foundry for a year. The apartments are pretty, but cheaply made and overpriced for the market. When my neighbor was watching tv, it sounded like he was in my bedroom because the walls were so thin. The windows were installed incorrectly, so every time it rained, my apartment got a whole bunch of water. Additionally, they use submetering for utilities, a practice illegal in most other states. While I didn't mind paying 1510 a month for apartment+parking, I didn't expect the 180+ a month for utilities for my 1 bedroom,

I lived at the Foundry for 22 months and my experience was very positive. Anytime maintenance was required, it was quickly addressed and completed. The office ladies were very professional and always available to help when need be. My apartment was on the top floor and I had absolutely no issues with any noise from neighbors. I never heard my neighbors on either side of me. The apartment location is ideal to Short North and Downtown attractions. I couldn't recommend the Foundry more, and after moving due to me getting a roommate, I miss living at the Foundry every day. Great place to live!

I've lived here for almost 3 years. The location is amazing- walking distance to great restaurants, cafes bars, and parks. I've always felt safe in the neighborhood. The apartment is pretty nice- finishes look nice and love the big windows. However, the windows are single pane (in Ohio???) so in the winter, ice will freeze on the inside of the window and sweat will accumulate, mold grows and rots the window ledge. Windows and balcony are also caked with dirt from the construction that has been going on for the entire time living here. Walls are thin and can always hear the upstairs neighbor stomping around, but that just comes with apartment living. The amenities are nice here- starbucks in the community rooms, gas grills. The pool is pretty decent but super cold and doesn't get much sun since it is located between two buildings. But it's nice to have access to. Management here is questionable- I was sent an email late in the evening regarding improper disposal of cigarette butts and was threatened to be charged for this. I don't smoke and these were not my cigarette butts, so this email was extremely inappropriate. Issues with policy violations should be handled with a phone call to investigate the matter rather than assumptive, accusatory emails. Also nobody cleans up after their dog so don't walk in the grass or you'll likely step in some poop. Don't really think a one bedroom, one bathroom place is really worth the $1,400/month. Mostly stayed this long for the location and waiting to save enough money to buy somewhere.
