I ordered the Island Hopping kit for a Yelp event last night and OMG you guys....the spreadable chorizo is life. The cheese and jam that were selected for this kit were the perfect compliments to your homemade chorizo and I seriously had to refrain from eating it all in one sitting (I have SOME dignity and self-respect, mmkay? :)). I learned a ton of info from Dustin last night and I can't wait to order from NCC again now that I know a little more about how to build a perfect board. Also another plus: the pork they use is humanely raised! Thank y'all for doing what you're doing. I hope readers out there will support this fantastic local business - especially during these tough times. Their charcuterie kits would make fantastic gifts for the holidays and they're all paired with items from other local vendors!

When the people in charge of a company have the titles of Salami Swami, Salami Mama, and Salami Monger you want to support them and get to know them. And trust me, North Country Charcuterie is one of those companies. Their Salami is absolutely delicious!!!!!!! Not only are the salamis tasty but the people involved with making the Salami are incredibly good people. Ones you feel good about buying their product and supporting their company. My number one choice is Rojizo Chorizo. It has a slight hint of spiciness and heat. It seems to me to go well with a good red wine. I also love their Fino Salami made with garlic and fennel. Those two flavors really do come through masterfully. Last but not least we also like Lupo Salami, made with local brewery Wolf's Ridge. We are a huge fan of North Country Charcuterie, the Salami and the people involved. I can't say enough good things about this homegrown Columbus company and the people behind the name. Update: North Country Charcuterie now has bacon. They call it their coffee bacon. I went to The Hills Market Downtown to purchase a pack. I am not a coffee drinker so I was nervous. But I was also told that the bacon is amazing. Well guess what, it is truly amazing!!!!! It is so delicious. I couldn't get enough. And do not let the word coffee scare you away if you also are not a coffee drinker. The hint of coffee is so subtle it did not even affect me. This is now my go to bacon. Make it yours.

Five exceptional artisan salami check. Wine check. Cheese check. I wanted to spoil myself and a few friends to a well-deserved treat. And a treat it was! A perfect assortment of house made salami to complete my relish tray. I rather liked the layered flavors of the No.1 Salami. At first you experience the buttery garlic taste of the salami followed by the subtle cooling taste of sage. Perfect for the colder approaching season, this is a wonderful classic sausage. The Lupo Salami was unlike any salami I had tried before. Dark and bold because of the stout flavor, this was the finishing salami for me. Like a satisfying pint at the end of a long day. The crowd really loved the Rojizo Chorizo. Not too spicy but full of flavor, you get all the wonderful flavors of chorizo but mild enough to enjoy on its own.I would recommend any of the salami made by North Country Charcuterie!

The Salami Swami's offer a huge selection of charcuterie. It's amazing to watch their craft and passion flourish into what it is becoming today. Their cured meats are Truly stellar, particularly the Fino, which is my favorite! "An ode to our Salami Mama and her love of garlic. This Finocchiona-style salami is a delicate balance of ground fennel from North Market Spices (Columbus, OH) and minced garlic. After all, everything's better with garlic! For all of our salamis, we use Berkshire pork from Saddleberk (Urbana, OH)."

I was falling head first into a first world problem. I agreed to bring the meat for a charcuterie party and had absolutely no idea what to do and was running short on time. After conferring with part of my dream team *cough-Bryant M. -cough,* I used the nifty Yelp app to locate their contact information, hoping against hope that I would hear from someone from North Country. My internal pleads would soon be answered when my phone rang a few hours later. I spoke with Duncan regarding my needs to be the belle of the charcuterie ball and made plans to meet up the next day at The Commissary. Duncan graciously pulled out samples of their line-up to help me with my decision. I went with the Diablo and #1. Both were full of flavor and I knew they would easily pair with cheese, fruit, and wine.My friends were quite impressed with my offerings for the charcuterie extravaganza and I owe it all to James and Duncan!

Found these guys at the Worthington Farmers Market on Saturday mornings. They sampled out all of their sausages and I loved their Chorizo flavor! Duncan (the owner) was really great with giving me advice on how to store their product, a bit about how it's made, and ultimately how I could bring it to a dinner party. I was sold! I bought a log of Chorizo, thinly sliced and placed it on a nice cheese board with some of Duncan's other suggestions. Tasted great and would highly recommend if you're looking for a crowd pleaser. I'm getting more for the holidays!

I have been waiting and waiting for these fine folks to get the "ok" to ship nationwide. I live in Southern California. I have been emailing with Duncan about when when when will they start shipping. Thankfully earlier last week I was able to place my order and receive my order on Friday.I shared the salami shipment with several friends. We ended up slicing it and throwing it on to a pizza. It was marvelous! If you are nearby this place, please stop in. However, if you are numerous states away, you can order from them online, and the packaging it great! Thanks so much!

North Country Charcuterie has incredible salami and chorizo to help you make the perfect charcuterie board. All of their salamis are amazing and their chorizo is just as good. Love how they use all Ohio ingredients and that their charcuterie kits online are made with local Ohio cheeses and spreads. If you want to wow your guests with a charcuterie board this is the place to use.
