Flatiron Tavern

This place is more of a bar, that has food rather than a food place that has a bar. The place, to me was a bit loud and the speaker setup is weird. They have it setup for stereo, but there are only speakers on one side...so you hear half the song. But, the part you do hear is plenty loud. The service was decent, but it seemed that as they go busier, the attentiveness drops off...quickly. Overall, the food was pretty decent. I had their Blue something or other. It was supposed to be blackened...llike a black and bleu burger...but not so much. It was a good burger, but definitely not blackened.As a bar that has food goes, it was pretty okay. Will I go there again? Probably not. There are lots of other places in the Arena District.

The food was pretty good and the drinks were excellent. The patio dining is very cute with nice decorations. The service was speedy and courteous. The building is a classic brick which adds to the ambience.

Got take out and ordered in advance on their website which made it a breeze! The online ordering system was easy to use and you can pick whatever you'd like and pay online in advance before picking up. I got to the establishment before the food was ready, but got prompted on a notification once my food was ready for pick up. Pick up was also a breeze. Took this back to my hotel to enjoy for the night. Here's what I got:Burger with fries: 3/5- A standard burger that came with cheese, tomato, red onions and lettuce. Fries were good. Ketchup came in packets on the side so I could put as much or as little as I wanted to my desire. Caesar salad 2/5- This was a little sad and can skip. The lettuce leaves were really chopped up, croutons weren't the greatest and caesar dressing was nothing special. I liked that the dressing came on the side though! Service/ ambiance and ordering system: 4/5- Looks like a cozy spot that locals probably go into all the time. It's your typical bar food/ bar. Staff were nice when I went in to pick up my order. Online ordering system was a breeze.

Ordered pick up from here & was very satisfied with taste & care for food.I got the chicken Philly and omitted the onions. I love that they included multicolored peppers. The cheese sauce was good without being too much.The real story here is that myself and a friend ordered food but paid online and paid separate. Neither of us are locals so when we pulled up in the car we couldn't find any parking spots nearby and it was dark so searching wasn't exactly the best idea. I stayed in the car running while she ran in to grab both our orders. The staff helped her pack it back to my car and also confirmed it was my order as well! Love the kindness.Would definitely come back to eat in as it looked to be a cozy space.

The ambiance is not great. You will get a definite dirty old dive bar vibe when you walk in but, its all uphill from there. The menu seems like pretty typical pub fare. Everyone at my table went with build your own cheesesteak options and sides of tater tots. The tots were so nice and crispy! They were great. My sandwich was ribeye, habanero pepper jack cheese, banana peppers and cherry pepper aioli. It was a simple well cooked cheesesteak with some nice light heat. Everyone was very satisfied. Added bonus, the bathroom was surprisingly clean and well maintained.

Four star rating is an average.As a BAR: five stars. Nice ambiance, friendly people, good selection of drinks, great patio out back. As a RESTAURANT: three stars. Average bar food; great if you want a burger and rings, not great if you're looking for vegetables.Summary, great spot for drinks and bar food, but don't take your foodie friends.

Easy going local watering hole. Nothing fancy and not cringy The wings are absolute fire! Crispy, juicy and with in house made sauce. I was not impressed by the hummus, due to it being chunky. The favor was great, the texture was not.

Stopped in with some friends to get something to eat. And I told everyone at the table to try the Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak. And it was simply amazing. My friends kept saying it was the one of the best sandwiches they have ever had. The service was great, the food was amazing. And the overall atmosphere was laid back and cool for a Friday night. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. Can't wait to comeback and get another Ribeye Philly Cheesesteak!! If you are looking for a solid sandwich this is your sign to go and try one here!Also they have some really amazing tater tots.

Good food and good service! I love a chill bar with a good vibe and this was it. Had the fried bologna and ribeye cheesesteak - the staff here is attentive and helpful. Definitely stop by for a good time.

I was in from out of town and Rob made me feel like a true local. He made my experience more memorable than the event I came into town for and next time I come to Columbus I'm coming back to Flatiron just for him. What a great bar with an even more exceptional bartender!
