This is a little run-down house, which could be overlooked if you didn't eat there. To start with you must only pay by cash or check, no debt or credit cards. I would have even been okay with that; However, their coffee is very watered down. We ordered the fish, with fries and mac salad, and coleslaw. The fish was terrible, the fries were good, and the coleslaw was not good! The mac salad was a weird texture that crumbled in your mouth, horrible! I will never eat at this restaurant again. The server was nice, but the food isn't worth even 1 Star. I only gave it 1 because I felt the need to let others know this is not worth your time or money! I am not sure why this place has 4 Stars, must be family and friends' reviews! Prices are cheap, only because they match the quality of their food! Save your money, eat somewhere else!!

It looks like a dump from the outside it looks like a dump on the inside. The waitress doesn't know anything about the menu. She doesn't know if the gravy for biscuits and gravy is homemade. She doesn't know if the onion rings are homemade . She didn't know much of anything. I ordered a deluxe cheeseburger and other than my lettuce bring from the core, it was the best damn diner burger that I have had in quite a long time! The onion rings were kick ass!!My friend had 2 eggs, sausage, toast and biscuits and gravy. Our combined bill wasn't even $15!!!The prices are great and the food was good. Yes, it is a dive, but it was yummy!

Stopped here on New Year's eve on the way to Athens. Ordered eggs, sausage and potatoes and a pancake. Sausage and potatoes were good. Food, although freshly cooked somehow still came out cold. Coffee was pretty weak and bland. Non-dairy creamer on offer. My stomach didn't feel so great after the breakfast special as one other reviewer mentioned. 2 meals and 1 coffee came out to $14. It's cheap but not that cheap. This is a pretty divey place. My wife had some concerns about hygiene. I would say that if you're a local it's probably a great place to hang out and meet your neighbors but I wouldn't stop here again.

I'm a Homer. Being this is the closest restaurant to my home, I've been there a few times. I recommend the pressure fried (broasted) chicken & jo jo potatoes. The prices are the lowest around. You can get lunch for $4 to $5. Prices are about 10 years behind.

loved my time here. Relva was a delightful hostess and the food was far better than seemed possible for the breadth of the menu. i would definitely visit here again, likely with a posse of folk to enjoy it with. it's a total dive, but in a classy way. loved it.
