I really think this place is special. It really is. Why? Well yes, it has that super friendly staff. Huge drink menu. Pretty much if you can think it up... they have it. Frozen drinks, iced drink, bubble tea/popping bubbles, smoothies and various coffees made with local roaster Back Room coffees blends. And... it is another business owned by 2 women! Yay! And what they created is unique Room enough to work remotely or studyTables that a kid could get tutored thereI wish this was around when my kids were in school. Its great. They have events there:Bingo every first and third Friday 6-8Story time Tuesdays 10 amSilent book club every first Tues/Thur 6-8Its so nicely positioning itself as a community anchor. Im excited for Westerville. This is a great place!They began dreaming this up 4 yrs ago and last November they made it happen. Its a huge space. The ordering area has a large counter with many menus but they can do orders online so there is seldom a line. Did I mention it is a bakery, too. Yep, they bake their own cinnamon rolls (looked yummy) and cookies. They have bagels and pastries too. Even have breakfast sammies. The dining area is done with many sofa vignette's around various coffee tables. So its not like the chain starbucks where you only have one comfy sofa. Sofa's are everywhere!!! Cue Oprah saying "sofa's for everyone"! You get a sofa.. you get a sofa...There are a few tables to work remotely or do homework. There are tons of board games, tons! Lots of children's books. It's really family oriented but when I was there it was quite quiet which was nice. My husband's coffee was excellent. He even asked for a second cup of coffee. My tea with mango popping bubbles was ones of the better ones Ive had in Columbus as they were able to tone down sweetness for me which made it close to perfext. I really hope nothing but the best for these owners. Its a great shop.

Our search for great local coffee shop has resulted in another great find. This morning we game across Family Room and decided to give them a try.Wow, what a find. This is probably the cleanest coffee shop I have ever seen (including the restrooms). They source their coffee from a local rooster (Backroom) and offer teas, boba, smoothies, and other treats. They also offer baked goods along with some breakfast sandwiches. We got coffee and boba on this visit and were very happy. Drip coffee is just $1.20 for a refill.Lots of space to relax, get caught up of work so bring your laptop, or play games on one of the large tables. The offer event nights. What a fun location. Oh, I forgot to mention how great the staff is. Very polite and pleasant and they took the time to explain the menu and the shop.This shop will become one of our regulars.

Family room coffee was 11/10. I was pleasantly surprised when I walked in and greeted warmly! It was definitely a great experience on a Sunday afternoon. I asked what flavors they had and the workers shared with me on the flavors that they had. Everyone was so nice and kind. I got the Cookies & Cream Blended coffee with a shot of expresso and it was truly one of the most flavorful coffee drinks in the area! The coffee shop was really cool, they have an area that you can play board games and just chill.I look forward to going back and trying some good food and pastries!

Part of my order was wrong (not wrong enough to go back and have them fix it), but otherwise this place is lovely. Good drinks, nice snacks, and it looks like an excellent option for a craft group or gaming meet-up, with big tables and fun local art on the walls.

SUPER CUTE coffee house. Didn't even know this existed until I signed up for November's Women Leaders Coffee Chat with the Westerville Chamber. WOW. GREAT meeting the WCC hosted at a really perfect location. Family Room Coffee & Bake Shop has an app where you can order in advance, pick up and join the meeting. Efficient! PLENTY of room in the large location for 1:1 chat sessions or meetings with 20 of us which is what we took up last month and two tables! It was such a great meeting with the WCC I'm going back next week for their December session and why not? The parking is abundant, the coffee and bakery here is FANTASTIC with a great team of people and the overall experience at Family Room Coffee & Bake Shop is delightful. Thanks to them for hosting the monthly WCC meeting. See you all next week!

Stopped in on a Saturday before their official opening and it was such a cute shop and great coffee! Easy parking out front and a large lot, they offer mobile ordering to make it quick but also maintain counter service. The workers were very friendly and helpful and clearly excited for the new store! The inside offers tons of seating (tables, couches, etc), a kids area and they even had board games. It makes for a rest spot to come enjoy a coffee but also meet up with friends/do a bible study or school work etc. My coffee was also great - I got a vanilla latte with oatmilk! They offer several varieties of drink specials, syrups and milk for great customization! I wish I had grabbed more pictures but overall would definitely recommend!!

Cute and affordable! I came by to wait out a snowstorm and although I'm from Ohio I've lived in Arizona long enough to be local haha.The shop is spacious with tons of seating and a warm cozy vibe which I desperately needed while I waited out the snow. The staff were very friendly and eager to help you narrow down what you want. Also the entire shop was spotless! Seriously a top tier place to study/work if you find yourself in the Polaris area.

We stopped in this morning after pilates. What a nice place! Family friendly, games, books, and activities for kids (you can purchase kits for $5). They use backroom coffee and have a variety of coffees (hot/cold), drinks (including chai, hot/cold), some breakfast sandwiches/wraps/pastries/oatmeal/cookies, and more. You can order/pay at the counter or use their app to order/pay in advance from a distance or while seated. We ordered a regular cappuccino and a large cherry almond latte. The cappuccino felt a little light, likely heavy on the foam. Both drinks were good. We'll be back!

Love this place! Great food rather sweet or savory, delicious coffee, other tasty drinks, a fun and friendly atmosphere and great service. Has become my family's replacement for all of the national chain coffee/bake shops. My favorites, so far are the Chili Verde breakfast burrito, the Spinach Feta Pastry, their mocha, and the spiced apple cider with cranberry juice.

What a nice coffee shop, for people wanting to try, it is in same shopping center as Walmart off Schrock (it is hard to see, it is on the east side of complex off Otterbein. The cinnamon roles are awesome.
