The place doesn't look that great on the inside and could use a makeover. However the service was nice. I placed an order over the phone and I ordered a party size tray and the lady asked for a depot but I didn't feel comfortable doing that. She ended up making the order for me anyway and I was able to ti k it up. The food was really good and I would recommend their vegetable fried rice. If I'm in the area I would definitely go back and try other items.

Needed something fairly quick in this part of town, and ordered easily through Yelp. It's a tiny stripmall place, set up mainly for carryout even before the current situation. I got my usual testers for Chinese places: crab Rangoon and Mongolian Beef. Plus, I saw fried crab under the appetizers, and gave it a try.I love crab, and krab, so the crab things were an obvious choice. They were deep-fried fake crab sticks, in a batter like that on onion rings. Super fresh and hot when I got them, with the krab almost melting inside, but after they cooled a bit the krab had more substance and made a pretty good snack in the car to give me sustenance before I sat down to eat. The Rangoons were hot and fresh as well, and nicely made, with a decent ration of cheese to crab bits. The Mongolian beef was a surprise. It was spicy! I love spice, so that worked for me, but be advised if you want it bland. It also had lots of veggies besides onions; again, I enjoyed that, but it's different enough that it might throw you. Tender beef, and plenty of it, mixed with fresh veggies in a brown, spicy sauce. Yum. Easy ordering and pickup. Reasonable prices. Pretty standard-looking menu, but based on this order there might be some surprises lurking under those generic names. I'll be back.

People saying this is good, realllllly need to get out more... This is easily the worst Chinese food I have ever had in Columbus. Just a couple bites in, I had to spit it out and throw it away. Waste of 8.95$. Not to mention the place is super dirty, guess I should have known just by that. Didn't see any real bad reviews, so I assume they're somehow getting them removed. This one must likely will be too. Only time I've ever had Chinese food and really wondered if it was actually chicken...

There are two restaurants named Family Garden within a few miles of each other. This one at the intersection of Cleveland and 161 is amazing. Best Chinese food I've had for the price in the city. The fried chicken is delicious. The dumplings are handmade not just frozen ones they heat up for you and you can tell. Whatever sauce they give you with the dumplings is so dang good. I dip my chicken in it and always ask for more. I normally order the beef and broccoli or beef with onions and peppers. They are both really good but the latter heats up better the following day. Service is ok. Pretty standard nothing spectacular. I wouldn't eat in. There are like two old tables, plastic sheeting everywhere, and a lot of inventory storage. Ambiance is definitely a zero. Worth a try! Not just frozen reheated food that you get from other places around Westerville/Columbus.

This place reminds me of the family owned Chinese restaurant near my hometown. I've been fair share of times and it always a great experience. The food is always consistently great and the staff is always kind as well. I always ordered Lo Mein (most of the time Cjhicken, sometimes beef) and it always great. They give you a great size, for such a great price. I always have leftovers. It took me too long to find a place like this in Columbus!

I stopped ordering food from Family Garden several years back. My friend often stops at Family Garden to get food. His reviews I found unbelievable, I decided to give them another shot. What a huge disappointment the food Shrimp Kung Po was awful and uneatable, absolutely no flavor. I ask for medium spicy I received BLAND, the nuts were just thrown on top, no sauce. I called them the girl that answered the phone remembered me since it was like 10 minutes. Told me to come in and they would give me sauce, she stated they gave me light spicy, that is not what I ask for.I tried the crab raccoons little to no crab filling, not a lot of flavor. Interior is not clean, as I waited for my food I had gnats flying around, while looking around as I swatted gnats was chaos.

1st time ever ordering takeout at this place and it was the worst shrimp fried rice I have ever had on my LIFE!!!! There was hardly any shrimp in my rice and everything tasted old and some of the rice wasn't cooked all the way. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone. The lady who took my order was nice, everything else was TRASH!!!!
