Excape Columbus

I've done several escape rooms and this one was by far the worst. Really janky, honestly. A lot of the clues didn't lead to other clues, most of it was rubbed off/ not drawn or written correctly and some clues we didn't even have to use to get to the next clue because nothing "flowed". I really think they need to update and fix a lot of these things and the rooms could possibly be better but please do not waste your time and money here! There are better escape rooms out there trust me!! Oh we also didn't get our pictures emailed to us like they said we would.. overall horrible experience.

Awesome experience!!! We had a family group of 9, age range 15 to 75, and everyone had a great time. Thank you Norm for accommodating our group like you did, and making our first time so fun. We will definitely be back, and hopefully will succeed next time. Everyone loved it, and it was cool to see everyone working together. I really can't say enough good things about Norm and his company. His daughter has built some great puzzles here. Also loved the Holiday deal going on- can't beat this price!

Overall we had a good experience. We had a group of 6 and they told us another group of 6 were scheduled to be with us but they didn't show up on time. And 20 minutes after we had started they let them come in. And we felt we lost time because they were asking us to catch up. We feel like if you're late you should not be allowed in because it's not fair to the people on time. The owners were super nice and friendly though

We took my daughter and her friends for her 16th birthday. The girls had a blast! The room was challenging but fun. The people running it were great! And they are veterans so it's a great way to support those who supported our country. I would highly recommend.

Our first escape room. A lot harder than I thought it would be. Host's were friendly, and professional. Establishment was clean, parking was good, but not well lit. The room we were in "Excalibur" was very challenging, and of course, we didn't get out in time. I would like to try some other themes next time. Overall an enjoyable experience, and I would recommend this facility.

My group of 4 was paired with another couple that were on a date. 2 of us have already experienced an escape room and love doing them. We had high expectations going into this one and it didn't disappoint. It was very fun yet challenging. The staff was extremely helpful and friendly. I would recommend at least 3 or 4 in a group for a more successful outcome. It would be very challenging for 2 people to cover enough ground. We finished with 26 seconds to spare!

A group of friends and I tried their Egyptian Room last night and had a blast! Such a great time, I'd never tried an escape game before and was pleasantly surprised at how fun it was. I'll be back for sure! :).

So, here's the deal--if I were just reviewing the room itself, this would be a four-star review. Pretty excellent, with a fantastic final puzzle that was truly novel; however, there was still room to grow (we visited them in opening night, so I'm cutting them slack from that, too--these guys will only get better as they revise and reiterate their puzzles). However, the deals they have are unbelievably good ($45 for $60! BOGO! Stackable!), the owners were the friendly people I've met in the escape room business, and they were super flexible (some of our members got there a little after they should've, and no fuss was made at all). I truly enjoyed the experience and look forward to the next room. Recommend!

My husband and I have done 20+ escape rooms and have always told the kids about them. Well we were in Columbus yesterday and had some free time so my son and his girlfriend joined us. We decided to do the Excalibur one. My husband said we were in a room by ourselves so far, but the room was cool because it was a dueling one. We get there and there's another group of 6 in our room, obviously we are disappointed we hate being with other groups (another star loss) so we asked if we could do the other one. Remember it's a "dueling" one where you compete to get out with a faster time. The guy is like sorry we don't have enough staffing. As we walk into our room, I'll get to that in a minute, the very first thing on the video is "we're the only dueling room." If you advertise that then that's what you should do. We are now in a room that a 12 year old must have made up it is by far the WORST room we have ever been in. It had rock paper stapled to the wall, yes stapled. Had some cards stapled to the wall, it was the most basic and generic room we have been in. Here I've talked up all these rooms and get my kids to go and was so disappointed to say the least. Thank God the room only cost $15 a person as a special because I would have been super mad to pay $25+ for that cheap room. And honestly $15 is overpriced. People that haven't done other escape rooms have no idea what they are missing out on but this room is nothing special...save your money and go do a great room somewhere else. I wish I would have read the reviews from the people who've done many we would have never done this one, again terrible at best!

We did Edison's lab. (Not giving anything away) One of our locks wasn't locked, one of our keys was missing from the room, one of our combination locks didn't open when we put in the correct combination, one of our clues was for something we already completed, part of the game didn't work, and another part of the puzzle wasn't clear to see (the game master admitted as much). It was a very poorly constructed room. I definitely wouldn't go back.
