This was our 2nd time coming to this park. First time was couple of years ago for Halloween, trick or treat event. They did a great job in decorating the place for Halloween. This time around, we accidentally came across this place. We were driving home from visiting another place and saw the holiday lights from the street and went to see which place had these beautiful lights. And lo and behold its Everal Barn. They did a fantastic job decorating the barn and the area around it with the lights. You can park the car, walk around and take pictures. It's definitely worth a visit.

We just had our wedding ceremony and reception at Everal Barn on July 2,2017. It was nothing short of perfect! It was the most amazing space for our needs :). They have a list of vendors to choose from, half of which can serve alcohol. This used to be a dry venue. We were happy to hear that it wasn't dry anymore. Kim was so easy to work with and we had everything we needed!! We received compliments throughout the evening about what a great space it was and some people didn't even know it existed! One of our guests even said she wanted to have her retirement party there!! We would recommend this space for any special event you are having!! Dustin and Rebecca :)

When the kids decided that they were going to get married, the next step was to where it would be. They had been looking and nothing seemed to be right. So I suggested the Everal Barn. I was hoping that they were going to like it. We set up an appointment and now it's history! The barn and the homestead are so beautiful! The grounds are kept groomed and there are plenty of camera opts both in and outside! The staff were helpful and guided us through the process to get the area rented. The staff we had for the evening was very friendly and helpful. He made sure that all of the things that we needed happened! I loved this venue! We had plenty of space for all of the guests and activities to take place. Even the surprise dance for the bride and groom!I hope others take a look at this beautiful place!

This place is an awesome place to have an event that will work with the space. We went to a friend's wedding that was hosted here, and it was a great success. The feeling you get from this place is warm and a down-home feeling that you can't get in many places around the area, if any others. It also had a natural advantage for a wedding, since there was a nice loft area where the taping of the ceremony can take place as well as a dramatic entrance. Surprisingly the place did not have issues with sound, which I thought it may have. There was also a nice quaint area downstairs where we had appetizers while waiting for the dinner service to be setup. Plus the outside areas are very well kept and give very good backdrops. If you are looking for a very nice place for your wedding I would highly recommend, just from the experience of an attendee of a wedding.

The Everal Barn & Homestead are a set of beautifully restored buildings that date back to the late 1800s. Located right off Cleveland Avenue in northern Westerville, they're available for rent as a public space for weddings, dinners, meetings, and events. The grounds are well kept and features a beautiful pond and bridge in addition to the restored structures, plus the park as a whole has several nice picnic shelters available. We made use of the barn and grounds for our wedding, and the staff at Everal, particularly Kim Sipe, were incredibly helpful and wonderful to work with through the whole planning process, and the entire event felt like it went off almost seamlessly thanks to their help. Some advice - the space will only hold 100 people at most, and even with the addition of A/C in the main barn, it gets VERY hot. Parking is still public, so you may be forced to compete for parking space, and the price for renting the barn is MUCH higher for non-Westerville citizens. If you know a friend who lives in Westerville proper (they must pay local taxes to Westerville, not Columbus or one of the surrounding townships, even if they live in the Westerville zip code), it's worth having them reserve the barn in their name so you can save money.

This is a really neat park to go and walk our dog. You can park at multiple different places within the park and it even reaches back to some fields that I'm sure are used for sports. There's a loop trail all the way around. The Avril barn is really pretty to walk around and look at and there are winding trails but ultimately it's flat land so it's not a hiking trail or anything like that. It's pretty much just a park. You can rent the Avril barn out for an event but keep in mind that it is city owned so only beer and wine are allowed and no liquor. You can bring your own food in to the events too to save money. I found this out when I was looking for wedding venues and liked the price but not being allowed to have liquor was a hard pass for us unfortunately. There is a gravel parking lot that the event quests would park in so make sure you wear shoes that won't get ruined by walking through loose gravel. There's picnic tables around with a hut over it for shade. The back of the park also has a hit with shade and picnic tables. They also have public restrooms and trash cans back there.
