El Vaquero has been my go-to Mexican restaurant for now. I pick up my orders. I love their enchiladas dishes, both red or green sauce. Service is always friendly and quick.

This restaurant is just ok. I love Mexican food but finding a good Mexican Restaraunt is hard. This is your basic generic Mexican Restaraunt with the same menu as any other Mexican Restaraunt. The food doesn't taste fresh and wouldn't be shocked if some of it is microwaved. The ambiance is fine and the restraunt seems clean. The food comes out at an alarmingly fast pace which makes me think it's sitting there under heat lamp or in a microwave. The servers are nice. But it's just not a vibe to stop by.

Can you say "muy ocupada los fines de semana?" Very busy on the weekend!!! Our waiter was nice and hooked us up with a free birthday treat. Other than that, he was super busy with other tables and not around-which was fine since we were ok with our food and drinks the entire meal. Nina got a free fried ice cream and they sang happy birthday, which was super nice. Food was exactly what you would expect at Americanized Mexican restaurants, very good, not great. Decor was pretty much the same festive style as well. As this was the closest restaurant to our hotel, the first night it made sense to walk and eat here. I would recommend doing the same if you're staying close by. PS. they have happy hour until 8 but the drinks are only about 50 cents off.

B grade overall. Food is just ok...maybe. Service is good. Ambiance is fine. Not worth the price. Better Mexican restaurants around. Don't recommend it.

I've ordered the Vallarta Fajita as I wanted a variety of meat. It had steak, chicken and shrimp in it. It also came with a choice of 2 sides, which i chose yellow rice and black beans. The mushrooms were saucy which I loved and the meat aren't that dry either. It was also a sizeable portion in that there were leftovers that could be kept for dinner. The ambience here feels good. It was quiet probably due to the timing and the restaurant had nice lightings and decors.

Food and drinks were decent! I feel like the quality has gone down since I was last here probably a year ago. Our server was nice and efficient. The person who brought out our food clearly didn't want to be there but it was still a nice night out with friends.

Right off the bat, service was welcoming and kind, even as they were fairly busy. The inside was very pleasantly lit and decorated, but we opted to sit outside since it was a nice day.I ordered the Jumbo Lime Margarita from the Happy Hour menu for $8.99. When I first tried it, I thought I was being ripped off, because it was so delicious I thought they had to be skimping on the tequila. I was very wrong (lol). The margarita was delicious and had no strong alcohol taste at all, yet had a stronger effect than most margs I've had in Columbus. I thought the happy hour price was a bit high, but it's worth the quality and effect of their margs. I started feeling it just a few sips in. (Yes I'm a lightweight, but my partner agreed haha.)My partner ordered the horchata. It was very very sweet. It wasn't bad at all but definitely not my favorite; however it was remarkably large. As for the food, it was delicious but a bit salty to be honest. I thoroughly enjoyed the Camarones Veracruz and had a pretty fair amount of leftovers. My partner finished the Steak el Cuatro and was satisfied, but was disappointed by the saltiness more than I was.We have a few coupons left, so we'll definitely try again during happy hour. We're not fully convinced it's worth full price without the coupons due to saltiness, but we're hoping for an even more pleasant experience next time. :)

Stopped in here for an early dinner on Sunday evening while visiting OSU for a sporting event. The restaurant was decently crowded at this time so as usual, my wife and opted to sit at the bar. The atmosphere was a very nice Mexican establishment with nice lighting and decorations. Not overly loud on this particular day. All good. Service at the bar was very prompt. We received menus and our first cocktails with a few mins of arrival. My wife's "skinny" margarita was super tasty in a large frozen glass. I had a draught beer that was cold and fresh. The server brought out chips and a mild salsa which was very good. We asked to try something hotter and we were served 2 additional salsa. They were AWESOME! The spicy one was very hot - loved it! For our dinners, we had the Enchiladas Supreme and a Chicken Speciality (grilled chicken with pineapple). Perfect size portions and super yummy. The food was fresh on hot plates but not over cooked or dry. I have eaten at a lot of Mexican restaurants over the years. This one was extremely good and recommended. Great job!

The service was amazing! There was no wait. We were seated right away. The server had excellent customer service skills and very respectful. Our food was brought out really fast. I had the avocadilla with rice and black bean. Everything was seasoned just right. My son ordered the burrito deluxe. Other than his tortilla being a little soggy it was delicious. The restaurant had a good vibe. Low lighting and appropriate music.
