El Palomar is the only option for Mexican in Circleville. It's located in a crummy strip mall. The place looks kind of old. It hasn't been there that long. This seems to be a bare bones kind of place. I had a regular margarita. It's about $7 for a pretty small size. This doesn't even come in a real margarita glass. It's just the same one they use for pop. That's not a good sign. It shows they don't put effort into presentation. The food was thankfully better than this. It didn't look that impressive. The food I had tasted better than it looked though. I had the vegetarian burritos. It's about $8 for two burritos. These come in that nasty cheese glaze, but the red sauce was a good substitute. If you're looking for good Mexican around here keep driving. If you just need to eat anything, this is okay. The food is too expensive for the portions and quality.

This was good food in the beginning but then something happened and now everything is now salty. They have the best pica de gallo I have ever tasted. The portions and prices are commensurate with the quality. My guess is that they are training a new cook or somebody died and took their recipes with them. Still good food, just not what it once was.

We love eating here. The food is consistently good and the staff are friendly and attentive. I usually have either a chicken or seafood dish. For those looking for low carb (attention keto people), the Pescado Fisga, a tilapia filet on lettuce with Avocado slices, fresh tomato and pico is perfect! The chicken breast is always tender and perfectly grilled in their chicken dishes. I like the Pollo Popeye, lots of spinach and mushrooms. The chicken burrito my husband gets is loaded with shredded chicken. And if you like hot sauce, ask for their housemade hot sauce. But beware, it is the real deal!

One of these days I'm going to walk into a Mexican restaurant and get blown away, Today wasent the day.If your looking for a run of the mill Mexican restaurant here it is. It seems that there is a cookie cutter templent for Mexican restaurants. To start you receive nacho chips and salsa, the chips were thin, crispy and warm. Yummy, the salsa was boring, no taste. I ordered the chicken nachos. They were a nice portion for a lunch special. The chicken was tender and mild, would liked it to be a little spicier, over all good. The chips were covered with a ton of queso sauce the chicken and lettuce with just a dab of sour cream. Expect to eat it with a fork. Over all it was ok, what I dont understand is, why, have good chicken and chips and only cover it with a ton of Lettuce. Its not like they skimped on the chicken and had to hide the fact. A little tomato's, some black beans, some jalapeno peppers and a little lighter on the queso and it would have been a lot better. I did ask for for some hot sauce, there was none on the table, and they brought me some. See photo, I expected a bottle of red and green sauce, what I got was much better. A home made sauce which was hot but had a good "smokey" flavor. If your into hot sauces ask for it.

This is a good Mexican place. I'm glad it's an option in a town with very few options. They have good guacamole. I usually get the chicken fajitas. I've never had a problem here. The food comes fast and hot.

I appreciate the fact that we have a Mexican restaurant in a small town. However I also enjoy good Mexican food. The food here was mediocre at best. The food is served to you on an extremely hot plate and looks and taste as if it was cooked two or three days ago and then warmed up. The server seem to have an attitude or not like her job even though I suspect she's a partial owner. If you are stuck in Circleville and want Mexican food yeah go ahead and visit them but if you do have another choice I would take the latter.

I've had several experiences here, some good, but lately it has gone way downhill. The food quality is not great, often the meat is so over cooked it is super chewy. The salsa tastes like plain tomato sauce with no spices or seasoning. The decor is horrendous. It is always decorated for whatever holiday is about to come up and it is insanely tacky. The staff is friendly and quick but that is literally the only good thing I can say about this place.

My husband and I ate here for a very late or very early dinner, 3:00 pm. The restaurant was very empty and we received attentive service. The chips and salsa was just......plain chips and salsa....nothing to rave about. The salsa was puréed. I like salsa chunky so I did not care for it. I ordered #74, house special. It was mostly grilled chicken, shrimp, onion, and broccoli. I asked for the special sauce on the side which ended up being a cheese sauce. I was glad I asked for it on the side as I used just a little. The dish came with a side of rice and guacamole salad. The guacamole salad is about 4 tablespoons of guacamole on shredded lettuce. I enjoyed the dish I ordered and would order it again. My husband ordered the fajita taco salad. He said it was very good. The service was good. Lunch specials (prices) end at 3 PM. Most dinners ranged from $8 to $12. I would eat here again but would pass on the chips and salsa.

We were only given one chance to order food. We were given our check before we were finished eating. At that point we were deliberately ignored by the wait staff. We were going to get the fried ice cream, but only got dirty looks. We felt like we weren't allowed to be there after a certain point. The food is good, my fiancée and I have never had problems here before today. But today is too much to overlook.
