I've been to this restaurant twice and absolutely loved the food each time. The service is fantastic. My parents tried Mexican cuisine for the first time here and were thoroughly impressed. Their favorites were the Queso Shrimp Fundido and shrimp tacos. I highly recommend this place!

Met a group of Yelpers here for a fine lunch on a weekday. It's smallish, but even with a few other parties there was plenty of room for us. Service was excellent- keeping drinks filled and things cleared, making sure we were okay. The menu is huge, and isn't just the usual suspects. Sure, plenty of burritos and build-your-own combos. But with some more authentic choices, and lots of things that look really good. I narrowed it down to half a dozen and just picked at random. I got the shrimp al ajillo, shrimp and garlic. A dozen or so plump, perfectly grilled shrimp, smothered in garlic and a thin sauce. Very tasty. Sided with nice tender rice, with a few peas and carrots mixed in. $16, which isn't bad nowadays. They have many other seafood choices, and a large drinks menu. I got a horchata, which was zippier than most with more cinnamon, I guess. Comes in a large glass, bigger than the ones they use for pop.I'd definitely come back, to try some other things.

I've lived in Columbus for 7 years and still haven't found a good Mexican restaurant. I've been to this place a number of times because it's close to my house. The restaurant name changed so we thought it might be a bit different and checked it out but the food was the same as before. The service is very friendly and the restaurant has a great vibe with both indoor and outdoor seating with a bar inside. But the food isn't great. I got a chicken super burrito and a vegetarian burrito. The vegetarian burrito was super oily and literally only had vegetables and a little bit or rice inside- nothing else, no beans no salsa so it was disappointing.

This is a third visit for me to El Molcojete and a first for friends, Anna, Marty, and Amy. We all really enjoyed the food, atmosphere, and great service by Ariane.I really have to point out that El Molcojete has a very comprehensive menu that offers more options, comparable prices, and IMHO, better quality than their main competitors, El Vaquero and Los Mariachis.Anyways, I got the grilled chicken street tacos, Aka Mexican style tacos. I opted for three for just $11.95, which is a great deal, and it was plenty of food. Ariane informed me that it was happy hour, so my large Negra Modelo was just $6.75.Great service.Great food.Great prices.5 stars with a splash of habernero sauce.

I came here last night with other Yelpers for a get together since I was in town. Mike G, my favorite Columbus Yelper suggested this place and I'm glad we got the chance to try it out.Pulling up, the place is easy to find and has patio seating. I came in through the wrong door (patio entrance) and didn't realize there was a hostess area for seating. Fortunately, Mike G was already there, so I was able to sit down without having to do the wait thing. The menu here's pretty extensive with loads of options to choose from. They have a few old school items along with more modern selections of tacos and even new items. (Not all restaurants like to update their menus!) I got two different types of tacos. One was the shrimp taco and another was the beef. The beef one wasn't so great, as the beef was dry and cut into cubes. Fish tacos were good, but the refried beans were fabulous.Service was good, but somewhat inconsistent. We were shorted silverware and the server, even being as nice as she was, I think may have been overwhelmed. It doesn't take away from the experience, but little things add up over time. One of the better Mexican restaurants that I've been to. They seem to really pull it off well! I liked that they did happy hour on the weekends, as it really encourages me to order more food and drinks. Everyone here seemed to enjoy their meal, and overall a fabulous experience.

This building was a Mexican restaurant by a different name before it was El Milanese, but it was nothing like this.We just had one of the best and most authentic Mexican meals of our life here! We knew we were in for a special meal when we walked in and most of the customers were Mexican. Sure enough, menu has been totally revamped and features traditional favorites (tongue, goat) as well as more Americanized options. Chips and salsa were bomb and quickly refilled without us needing to ask.Hubby had a bowl with steak while I had the street tacos. Al Pastor pork and pineapple street tacos were tender, flavorful and my favorite by far (I also tried the steak and chicken street tacos). They even had horchata to drink! Another great sign anytime a Mexican restaurant serves this refreshing beverage.I had to get a piece of their tres leches cake to go - it was fresh and delicious. We will absolutely be back. What a fab addition to the Lewis Center food scene.

We were in the Lewis Center area and found this place. It's kinda in a hidden spot off 23. We were greeted right away and sat down. The menu has a lot of options took us a minute to order. Waitress took very good care of us. With keeping our drinks full and making sure we were happy with everything. Even gave us suggestions. My husband orders Chicken El Diablo..I ordered the El Pastor Tacos. Everything came out nice and hot and smelling wonderful. Everything was wonderful and we left with full bellies. We will be back when we are in the area. Keep up the great service!!

We've had lunch here a few times and it always delivers. I've ordered the lunch green chili pork burrito every time and it is very good. The pork is very tender and is very tasty and unique compared to other Mexican restaurants. My son had the lunch chicken quesadilla and it was gone before I could even sneak a bit, so needless to say it was very good. The chips and salsa are very solid and both freshly homemade. Service is prompt and attentive. We will definitely go back for lunch and probably order the exact same.
