Picked up carryout from El Jaliciense at 3528 Sullivant Avenue and was so happy with the meal! We had never gotten food from here, but had always wanted to, and I'm glad we finally did! I got the Westgate burrito and my partner got the chicken torta. It was absolutely one of the best burritos I've ever eaten! The chips and salsa were tasty! It came to about $27 for two entrees and chips & salsa, but those two entrees gave us four meals. The staff was super helpful when I went into grab our order. The vibe of this restaurant is FUN! Loud, upbeat music playing and very bright fun colors everywhere. I'd definitely come back to eat-in sometime!

Great quality Mexican food in the Westside. You'll be a bit scared of the location if you judge it from the outside. Once you're inside it is clean and welcoming. Get a margarita here. They are strong, taste great, and the price is right.We've enjoyed everything we've ordered here. The service is quick. The prices are great for the quality of food. The dining atmosphere is plain and a bit dive-like, but we are there for the food. Not a place for a romantic date, but a great place for casual dining.

Not very often on this part of town but went to check out the new Plaza Tapatia. My friend didn't want cafeteria style so we ended up here. I wouldn't say I wouldn't come back. The place was just what I like, a little hole in the wall building in the middle of nowhere. I quite liked the entree I got; chimichanga. It had a lot of cheese which I love and the flavors weren't bad. My favorite part of the whole dish were the beans. They were fresh and tasted delicious. Seasoned perfectly. My friend said the chille rellenos were "ok" but did not satisfy his craving. I didn't get his review of the Gordita now that I think about it. Disappointment for the day has to be the tacos. We got 4 carnitas tacos and the meat was so dry. It's like they over cooked a pork chop and then chopped it up and served it on shells. It was hard to eat and just lacking in flavor. Even dousing it in the amazing green sauce it was hard to get down. Horchata was on the "meh" side. It did not taste homemade (maybe a powder form) and was overrun by cinnamon. Drinkable but nowhere near one of the best ones I've had. Overall not too shabby of a place. I would go back if I were in the area but doesn't warrant a trip just to try it.

This was an amazing meal! Top shelf all the way around. Generous portions and prepared with a degree of care not usually found at broiler Mexican type places. The salsa and chips were very fresh an homemade. My fajitas were exceptional. Perfectly seasoned and for the first time ever... enough tortillas. The volume of Latina originated persons dining here was encouraging. I highly recommend. Your mileage may vary...

Call me crazy but I thought the whole idea behind chimichangas was that they are deep fried? This was fine...the filling tasted good and wow...I really love their rice. But was a little disappointed that I didn't get a crispy chimichanga...do I have to ask for it that way? Also the lunch specials are a great deal!

Went there at 1 PM on a Sunday afternoon. The parking lot was packed and the restaurant as well. Looked like all tables were taken. Sat at the bar was immediately asked what I would like to have. My friend arrive shortly after we decided to stay at the bar, eat and drinks there. Never ending supply of chips and salsa. Delicious queso. I had the Pollo Loco. I cannot remember what my friend had but he loved it. Everyone that worked there was so nice. The atmosphere-loved it !! very reasonably priced! margaritas two thumbs up. I am looking forward to going back.
