East West Restaurant

I'd been curious about this place, having seen many people check in here. It's a combination of bar food and Chinese food. I got Chinese, and it was decidedly middle of the road. Good, not great. Very good service. Nice place, wide open and feeling more like a sports bar with a Chinese restaurant attached on the edges. Lots of booths. You can see where the buffet used to be. The typical Chinese American menu options. Plus, bar and grille type items. I got my standard tester, Mongolian beef and crab Rangoons. Both have fairly subtle flavors, but places can put their own spins on them. The crab Rangoons here were clearly frozen, filled almost entirely with cheese. Just OK. And sadly, the Mongolian beef was only a little better than just OK. A few pieces of tender beef in a mild sauce, onions, good amount of green onions (which I prefer.) And some bamboo shoots, a little unusual in this dish. All over some of the crispy rice noodles, whichsadly aren't used everywhere. I ate most of it, and the pretty average fried rice beside it. But I don't think I'd come back. Nothing stands out. Prices were decent. Easy access across from the mall. Plenty of parking.

NO LONGER A BUFFETI was here many years ago when it was a buffet. It is no longer a buffet.Server was nice and friendly. Egg rolls were nicely sized.Large portions for the fried rice entree. I did not finish it all. My honey loved the sweet and sour chicken. Everything was fresh and delicious

Horrible service since the remodel. Two of the girls that were waiting tables were slow, not at all responsive to empty drink glasses and we first waited 45 minutes for one of four meals to come out. Then, my husbands meal was made wrong so they took it back and rushed remaking it and didn't cook it all the way because my husband ended up having food poisoning all night all. This place was great as a buffet BEFORE they changed everything and hired new staff. Now it's awful and overpriced for the terrible service you receive. Mind you, there was only one other family in the restaurant while we were there so they weren't busy at all.

Listen this place is fabulous. This is not the old buffet. This is my family's #1 go to Chinese food restaurant. The food is always hot and fresh and just so good. We ordered delivery and the owner delivers it...hot and fresh! Pay the extra money for good food!!! In my opinion, it's better than Lucky Bamboo which was always our #1. Five stars!

East West Restaurant has to be the worst place to eat in Heath. It's another shitty Chinese buffet, but which one of these isn't? This also has some of the worst piss poor service. It makes for a terrible experience. The price for this shitfest is a ripoff. A strange thing about it is the lack of Chinese food. It's a Chinese buffet but they have onion rings and spaghetti, and it's not even good. This kind of food takes up at least a third of the offerings. As if the shitty food wasn't bad enough, the service was almost worst, but the food was so bad that the service was better. Yes it's only a buffet but it's still a business so act like it. My waitress obviously didn't want to be there. She handed my my check in the middle of the meal. Thankfully I wasn't getting any more of the shitty food so not much of a problem. I would skip East West Restaurant. It sucks ass and smells like it. The area has many other Asian restaurants that are better so go to any of these.

Had dinner here yesterday. We ordered two hot and sour soups (one bowl was barely full, and the waitress tossed them on the table and walked away without saying anything). Ordered noodles with chicken and the happy family with rice. The portions were large and were hot, but it was average. Order sweet tea and ice water, never once asked if we wanted refills and the ice water tasted off like it had cleaning chemicals in it (did not drink it). Waitress gave us the bill, came back, and got our card. Once the transaction was done, tossed the receipt on the table, she said "sign here" and walked away. As soon as we signed, she came right back and took the recipe while we were still eating. Sooo if that's not enough reason to NOT go back, keep reading. The owners wife was at the bar wrapping the silverware with everything spread out on the bar, where people were drinking, and wiped her ungloved fingers under her nose several times and picked up the next napkins and set of silverware and continued on her merry way, gross. The waitresses were all leaning over the food serving window counter on their arms and hands over top of the plates of food coming from the kitchen. Wont go back!!

Price was ok.The restaurant was amazingly clean. Service was great. Food was mediocre unfortunately. Cheng's is so much better

No buffet but very well prepared dishes with a lot of variety. Sweet and sour is done the way my wife had it while living in Hong Kong. Great sesame chicken and kung pow.

The East West Restaraunt is no longer a buffet, but has seen major facility upgrade, and their Menu is full of many different delicious choices! The wife and I have eaten here many times since it reopened, and have enjoyed each visit!Their Lettuce Wraps, Ragou's, and egg rolls are great appetizers, but watch out because if you get them you might have trouble eating the generous portions of food you will get on your favorite meal!My favorite meal is the Beef with Vegetables prepared spicy, and the wife loves their Pork Fried Rice. We get our favorite appetizers and end up taking enough of our meals home for a 2nd treat the next day.How do I rate the East West Restaraunt? I rate it a solid 5! The refurbished facility gets a 5, the food gets a 5, the service gets a 5 (the owner is the friendliest chap I have ever met), and the value gets a 5!Will be be going back anytime soon? We will be making the 30 mile trip again this evening and taking friends with us! I think I'll have the Lettuce Wraps and Beef with Vegetables again (Spicy).

Tried this place out for the first time and everything was amazing. Service was great, food was hot. Will definitely be returning
