Dragon Village

It has been awhile since we last ordered carry out from Dragon Village, and our regular go-to Chinese restaurant was closed on Tuesday, so I thought we'd give Dragon Village another try.My memory from our last visit there wasn't terrible so I called yesterday to place a pickup order. We ordered Chicken Fried Rice, Chicken Lo Mein and a Shrimp Egg Roll. Sad to say the bought in egg roll may have been the highlight of the meal. Both meals were bland, shy on chicken, (meaning some shredded chicken was evident), perhaps 1 Oz. shared between both meals. Lo Mein noodles were dry and tasteless, rice was sticky not fluffy.On the plus side, if there was one, is that meals were ready in 15 minutes as stated when ordered, however we had to microwave everything when we arrived home after the 5 min drive. Makes one wonder how long they had been sitting waiting for pickup, or if they precook all rice and noodles. Doubtful we'll return. $25.00 for lukewarm and tasteless doesn't get it.

Stopped in for a late lunch. Small stripmall Chinese-American. The usual suspects on the fairly large menu. I got the curry chicken combo, which comes with rice and an eggroll. Liked the eggroll. Loved the curry. Just a bit of zip, lots of tender flavorful chicken, loads of fresh veggies. Tasty and semi-healthy. Big portion. Bottled pop. Friendly and fast service. Handy if you're in the area. Prices are reasonable.

Delicious! We had sweet & Sour Chicken, Beef & Broccoli, and Sesame Chicken--everything was fresh and tasty!

The food and service are fantastic. One of my favorite places to eat at Buckeye Lake. Quick service and big portions as well

Delicious food, HUGE portions, and really fast service! Had the orange chicken and it was the perfect balance between sweet & savory, with a nice mild spice. Just enough to warm your mouth but not to make you sweat. Very attentive staff. Coming back here again!

We took 10 people here for dinner a few nights ago and was really impressed. The food came out quickly and everyone loved the food! The price is awesome and portion size is huge! We all brought home food for lunch the next day and our family are big eaters. The owner visited our table to make sure everyone was satisfied. Go check this place out!

Food was very good! Unfortunately it was my first time using a delivery service and it took forever and the extra charge was ridiculous. I will definitely go back on my own instead of delivery.

Dragon Village is a good Chinese restaurant in the row of Buckeye Lake. It's hard to believe the town has such good food. There aren't a whole lot of healthier options around there. It's one place anyone in the area has to check out. The food is fresh and it's pretty cheap for the quality. I had the General Tso's tofu as carryout. It's about $7 for the lunch portion. There's many options for vegetarians. It was as good as you'll find in the area. The tofu came with mostly tofu and some hot peppers, but not too many vegetables. It was much better tasting than anyone would think a Chinese restaurant in a small place like this would be. With it being close to the lake you can sit outside and enjoy the scenery. It also has great service and it wasn't too long to get my food. The woman there was very friendly and helpful. I would recommend Dragon Village to anyone visiting Buckeye Lake. It's good even when it's not tourist season. The food is fresh and the service is among the best anywhere near there.

Would avoid during the pandemic as they are not taking appropriate precautions and have poor service. Last visit on August 21st the small dining area was crowded with patrons. Horrible COVID preventative measures - Poor airflow in small space with crowded tables no hand sanitiser available when they take your credit card and hand you a common use pen. For carry out guest there is no provision to have carry out guest get their food quickly with low contact. Condiments are in an open bins to be touched by anyone. These need to be behind the counter only handled by restaurant staff. Food order was told to take 25-30 minutes I arrived at thirty five minutes to make sure it was ready for quick in and out. Was not ready and was told to wait inside after paying. Every other restaurant I have visited asks you to wait outside and then they bring you the food to be safe. They had half a dozen carry out patrons waiting inside in this tiny space because of their slow service, I chose to wait outside. After 45 minutes when I went back in they had given my order to the wrong person who inspected and handled my order. At this point I asked for my money back which they did not know how to do wanting me to produce a receipt and wait while they figured it out. I was no longer willing to wait inside an overcrowded restaurant with poor COVID 19 preventive measures for 25 dollars, it was not worth the risk I told them to keep the money and left. Their poor service and poor COVID preventive measures makes this a place to avoid at all costs.

Great service and food. This restaurant has a full menu with large portions. One of the finer stops in Buckeye Lake, we would recommend this place to friends and would definitely return.
