My family and I were traveling from the Cleveland area back to Columbus and stopped here for dinner on a Sunday evening. We noticed how busy it was and felt like that was a good sign. We put in our order and walked across the street to a nice park so the kids could play while we waited the 25 minutes. There's no place to eat inside, so it's to-go or delivery orders only. Coming back to get our order, we had a few minutes to chat with the man at the counter. Very pleasant and offered some treats to the kids (after asking us first if it was ok). The younger man who brought out our order ran through everything with us to make sure it was correct before we left. Now on to the food, which we ate in the car on our trip down 71. It was fantastic! We got a cheese, a pepperoni, a deluxe, and a small salad. The salad had lots of toppings and was your standard pizza place side salad. The pizza had just the right amount of toppings, and was baked well. The sauce was semi sweet and thick, which went well with the pan-thickness of the crust. My husband and I were happy to find that the mushrooms on the deluxe were fresh, not canned. The whole pizza, from the flavor of the cheese, to the bake on the crust, gave us a feeling of nostalgia in the best way. If you're looking for pizza and you're in the Ashland area, I highly recommend this place!

First time to try this 50 year old establishment in Ashland, Ohio. Reviews led me to find it, & I took home a small thin crust pizza with pepperoni and mushrooms. First bite gave me a bit of spicy kick, some salt, earthy mushrooms and (not overly) sweet sauce. Nice combination. I'm sure I will get takeout again when I am visiting in this little town.

Passing through town on a Monday night and not many restaurants were open. We opted for carry out pizza. We watched as a hand crafted scallop was added around the crust. We ordered bbq chicken and bacon pizza. It took 30 minutes to prepare. The large pizza cost about $14 using online coupon. It was tasty and the sauce rich. The chicken was just ok. Chunked white meat tossed lightly in a bbq sauce spread unevenly across the pie. The pizza was very good. We also enjoyed an order of their addictive breadsticks served with a garlic butter. Sinfully tasty and Service was friendly and made sure we had plates, utensils and napkins. I'd go back and recommend.

My review on Donna D's might be a little biased because I've been eating it since I was a kid in Ashland since it was Mister J's and my mother and grandmother would order from there and eat at Kahngrove Park across the street. But honestly I've been to Chicago and New York both, and tried the two kings of pizza's offerings and NOTHING has topped Donna D's in my humble opinion. Something about the thick provolone cheese they use, the sauce is the absolute best pizza sauce I've ever tasted out of any pizzeria, the oregano seasoning and the crispy ribbon crust are just perfect to me, and anyone I've ever got Donna's with agrees with me. It's very rare I hear anyone be disappointed. Pizza's not the only great thing DD's has to offer. Their subs are great, particularly the BLT and meatball subs. Salads are awesome as well. The taco pizza from Donna's is good but order it without onions or tell them to go easy on the onions, because it's a little overkill. Donna's, if you see this review, I'll gladly take any free coupons you want to offer lol

Decided to get a pizza after Dr appt in Ashland. This place was highly rated and so we tried it. I would go again. It was good, not exceptional. They pride themselves on homemade sauce but it tasted like a canned with some extra oregano added. The crust was really good. I would prefer fresh mushrooms and not canned. Overall it's a good pizza but not really anything to write home about. Try the breadsticks as well. Price are good. Only one Table with two chairs. Not an eat in place.

I've never had the pizza here so I can only speak for the quesadillas, but they're phenomenal. If you like spicy, you'll love them!

This used to the the "go to" place for our familly for pizza (not because it was that much better than others - but mainly because it was slightly above "meh" in terms of taste compared to others in Ashland). Since the pandemic, however, that stopped. I always went in to pick up (because their delivery is unbelivably slow), and when I went in, the person making the pizza's was not wearing a mask. This wasn't just a matter of having the mask dangling on his ear or neck (like I've seen in too many places) - but no mask in sight. I don't know if it was a matter of the anti-mask sentiment that pervades this community or something else. Either way, we'll never order from the store again.
