Domo Sushi Kitchen & Bar

I went here for my birthday and got in right when they opened on Sunday. I feel a little bad because they were still setting up and I was a few minutes early but they were super nice. Our server was great. It was happy hour and I wanted to order several dishes over the course of our service. The waitress came and checked on us at the perfect times. I think I ordered more every time she came over. The food was phenomenal, I've been to a few sushi restaurants in Columbus and I gotta say this was definitely up there. I don't normally eat out because I can make dishes on par or better than a lot of places at home, but I can't match this place. Definitely need to come back when some friends come to town.

They have a great menu from apps, sushi, kitchen entrée and drinks. I love their incredible Happy Hour menu tooTheir Happy Hour menu have a good mix of variety for both food and drinks. Apps, Sushi, Drinks, all checked and served to the foodie table.

I have been eyeing this place for a while now since I've heard that this is the best sushi in Columbus. It's certainly rivals the best! This place was great! Great location. We were able to find parking off High Street with no issue. They certainly cram people in like sardines at this location. We waited a little bit for the next table to leave as they had us ready to sit next to the doorway which seemed a little chaotic. The service had no issue with that. We ordered a bottle of wine and the crab rangoon. I can't believe how good it was. I would have ordered two more orders and not thought twice about it. I also tried sashimi for the first time and it was excellent. I tried the Yellow as it was recommended to me. We also went with three sushi rolls: spider roll, arigato roll, and the Sakura. They were all excellent. All the food was delicious.

Everything is always so good here! Love the staff! Legit best espresso martinis in the city! Fun ambiance, but not too loud.

as a Californian and some one who's had sushi in Japan, I was thoroughly surprised by the quality of fish they used for nigiri/sashimi being in Ohio. it's a little bit on the pricier side but understandable for its location. I would definitely come here again if I'm ever in Columbus. The restaurant is a little cramped when they're busy but the service makes up for it. if you want the best bang for your buck and you're coming for sushi I say do one of the nigiri/sashimi specials

I love their happy hour! The rolls are so cheap, but my favorite thing is their Kitchen Donburi Bowl. Additionally, can't go wrong with any of their drinks - I always get a Lychee martini. The staff are always so kind and it is super cute inside.

This is a nice sushi place in the Short North; I would come back if in the area. Nice atmosphere and service. Great food.I met Gwen W here on a Friday night for happy hour. I started with the Hibiscus on High cocktail and ordered the Salmon Avo Roll. Wonderful.

Update: Never mind on the 5 star review. Unfortunately, I had diarrhea and woke up in puddles of sweat this morning & this is the only thing I ate last night. So, unless you want to lose a few pounds from potential food poisoning, maybe stay away from here for a little while.Original review was 5/5 stars: I came here for takeout & ordered 2 rolls + miso. The rolls were perfect sizes & I was super full after finishing. I would go back.The sushi was fresh and delicious. I'd say it was close to Akai Hana/Sushi Ten quality, but not quite as large or tight rolls.Parking for pickup was a little tough on a Thursday night. I had to go around a few blocks to find a spot to then pickup my order. When ordering, it asks for a make and model / color of car, but they don't bring the food out to you.Indoor seating. There were quite a few people there.

Anna and I met on a Sunday early evening. We planned for their happy hour special, running Sunday-Thursday, but came to find out they don't do on holidays, so no HH that day because it was Father's Day. The restaurant is on the smaller side, but seemed like optimal arrangement to utilize all floor space. Wait staff were friendly and efficient. I had their Firecracker Roll. GoSolid, but nothing quite grabbed me, screamed Wow! While my roll was good, I probably wouldn't pick this place other than for HH because overall prices tend to be higher in this area due to free parking is very scarce in this area, socioeconomics, tourism, etc. if in the area, however, a solid choice.

Very clean bathroom, smelled nice too. Anyways Domo is my top contender for my sushi experience in Columbus so far. We booked in advance since we heard about limited seating before. We dined around 7 pm and it was popping when we came in but tables opened up within 30 minutes. Our waitress was great and very attentive. We started off with a Spicy crab sushi panini that was superb! For my main I got the spider roll minus the cucumber and it was so good! I spent alot of time around the West Coast and PNW and I can easily say the sushi here is very comparable. The price is very fair as well. I loved the ambience in the restaurant (shoutout to the koi lamps!) I give this place a 4.6/5, I'll definitely be back here soon.
