Doaba Indian Restaurant

Our family is a Big fan of their Chicken tiki Masala. We enjoy Carryout on a regular bases. Very friendly owners with great customer service. Nice addition to Powell.

We went out in search of a quality Indian meal on a recent chilly night. Doaba more than delivered on that promise!I loved the paneer makhni, rice and naan. Hubby's chili chicken was also delicious. Had to try the gulag jamun and they perfectly hit the spot - not overly sweet. We took home plenty of leftovers for a yummy lunch the next day.All in all, a cute place with friendly staff and very tasty food! We will definitely be back.

Ordered Doaba this week from a delivery service and loved seeing so many vegetarian options, and the pictures for every item. However, when our food arrived it looked NOTHING like the pictures. Maybe we ordered saag paneer, which is usually green, and vegetable jalfrezi. The food was delicious, but not sure it was what we ordered or if the pics are wrong. Would maybe try again but probably would go in to visit.

My former favorite Indian spot - Safron. I hated to see them close, because they were so friendly and my favorite Indian food. But Doaba? A worthy successor!It seems they don't have a liquor license, but to be honest, alcohol wasn't my draw. Their ability to hit those Indian flavors for me is (I mean, I'm a white dude, what do I know about Indian food? I just know when they make something that appeals to my tastebuds). It's the same layout - plenty of table space, no overcrowding, a nice little patio outside. But the food... maybe the best samosa I have had since a coworker's wife made some to bring in for his birthday. Flaky crust, hot and fresh, just perfection. The chicken tikka was creamy and mildly spicy, just the way I like it. I could drink it straight. Tender chunks of chicken floating in it. The chicken curry tasted just a touch off - I couldn't tell if it was the seasoning or the spice (my date ordered "mild"). But the chicken was still perfectly tender. And of course - leftovers. It's enough for two meals. It reheated amazing the next day (air fryer for the naan). So I am excited to have an amazing Indian place close to home again - and my next stop is to check out their weekend lunch buffet to try some more of their dishes to break out of my basic order.

It added nice spice, freshness, and texture to our dishes. Great blend of flavors with the raita. Will add it again with our next order!Speaking of raita, I feel like there's never enough raita for our family, so definitely added it as an extra, too. At first I was a little disappointed at how thin and soupy it was, but it actually made it blend into our food in an amazing way! Just had to adjust and spoon it over everything vs. having it off to the side and scooping into it as I ate like you would with a thicker version.Can't wait to try more dishes and some of the other breads!

The food was delicious and the guy serving us was really nice. I was so tempted by the tikka masala but we wanted to switch it up so we got the chicken Makhani and it was DELICIOUS! Seriously so good. It was also some of the best garlic naan I've had as well as amazing veggie pakora with yummy sauces. We definitely want to come back some time for the buffet

We ordered our food for carry out and the pickup process was simple. Everything was still nice and hot by the time we got it home. Great portion sizes, we had lots for left overs. Chicken Makhani was a definite favorite and their naan was great too.

The Sunday buffet was well stocked and ready when we arrived. All the food selections tasted great - both chicken and vegetable /vegetarian options. It was a good experience overall.

I ordered take out from Doaba. The food was ready for pickup on time. Although the items may seem a bit pricey, they lasted multiple meals for my husband and I. I got the chicken korma, butter chicken, and mushroom and muttar (pea) entrees. A good amount of rice is included with each entree. My favorite was the korma sauce, very flavorful. I enjoyed the other dishes, but wish the peas would have been cooked longer as they were quite hard.

The food here is wonderful. We love getting take from here on Friday night and the chicken tikka is delicious. The service is great and the spice level is always spot on. We will be back.
