Dietsch is a Findlay Legacy. One of the last small town chocolate and ice cream counters. The service is friendly and fast. The interior is fake retro, soda fountain, coolness. Stop by if you're in town for a sweet treat.

Dating advice: Find yourself someone who would drive two hours (RT) just to surprise you with the best chocolate truffles in the state of Ohio! The presentation of the box alone was impressive! Thank you, Dietsch Brothers for your existence!!!

This is without a doubt the best ice cream and candy shop in the Midwest. Maybe America. The governor has visited here, and many people stop here off I-75 while traveling. The place has been in business for 8 decades. The service is always excellent. The ice cream, candies and novelties are great! Their sundaes, banana splits and other ice cream favs are amazing. If you're traveling down I-75 this is a short distance off the expressway on West Main Street. Don't miss it. Cozy seating area and clean restrooms too.I've been a customer for over 4 decades now.

While traveling back home to MI we visited with family in OH who planted the seed, "Are you stopping in Findlay for chocolate?" and followed their recommendation. Yelp search showed "ice cream" but their chocolates get equal spotlight in their shop. Upon entering I felt a comfortable feeling like I was returning to a favorite place though I had never been before. The ambience had subdued cheerful colors, very clean and spacious (even if you use assistive devices). Wonderful gift shop area with all sorts of items like: salt water taffy, caramel corn, popcorn (Amish I believe), housewares - mugs, decorative plates, signage, hand/ kitchen towels. On the far side of the shop is the ice cream parlor, with places to sit and enjoy. I didn't venture into that area only because we were going for dinner so I wasn't interested but there were lots of people in line and staff busily preparing their orders. The ice cream freezer looked really long- so I'm guessing they offer a Lot of flavors. While browsing 2 employees were preparing boxes of chocolates yet making sure customers were greeted and readily offering assistance or answering their questions. I prefer dark chocolate but I could tell the milk chocolate would be wonderful and ordered individual pieces from the case: maple nut clusters (MNC), pecan nougats in both dark and milk. Plus a boxed "Crunchy and Chewy" variety. When I got home I tried a dark MNC and the chocolate was so smooth and creamy it felt like I had honey in my mouth. Firm when biting into it but not hard, just delicious . the peanuts were fresh/ crunchy and maple crème added a nice touch without overpowering. The other chocolates I had were an equally luxurious moment as the first. They have ample parking in a private lot, entry has no stairs but a small lip that may require help getting over if in a wheelchair. Restroom was spacious and accessible, "1 seater" as I call them. For the number of people in ice cream area the noise level was low, even with kids! Seating could handle families of all sizes. With items I purchased I'd say prices were $$ and quite honestly, I'd pay more for their chocolates because of how delicious they are. My 1 lb Crunchy and Chewy box was $19.99. When people ask how my vacation was I always include my visit to Dietsch Brothers in my stories and highly, Highly Recommend they go. I love that they are a 3rd generation family owned and operated business. I will definitely be back and spread the word, "You need to go!!"

Location: 400 West Main Cross Street, Findlay OhioWebsite: https://dietschs.comHours: see websiteShop: see websiteParking: adjacent lot with free parking I don't care if you're full.If you are driving through Findlay, Ohio and one of the two locations is open - you need to add this stop to your drive.Established in the 1930's selling special recipe candy, you can still buy confections in gift boxes or by the pound or piece.Caramels, pretzels, or toffee - among many varieties in both milk and dark chocolate. What drew our road trip into the store was the ice cream.Hand-dipped to order, single, double, or triple scoops are offered in a dish, cake cone, or sugar cone.Waffle cones also available for a small charge. There were more than 20 flavors to choose from so choose wisely. My choice was maple nut and butter pecan. Absolutely perfect ice cream.

Redemption! We travel through Findlay on our way to Michigan frequently and our previous visit didn't leave a good impression. But I desperately wanted to find a good spot to get ice cream on our way travel route and read the reviews again and thought we should give it another go. This experience was totally different - and so much better than our first visit! The Moose Tracks was excellent! Frankly, I judge all ice cream shops by the quality of their Moose Tracks (and if they don't serve Moose Tracks, the place ain't worth trying). My bride stole a few bites from me and commented how good it was this time around. It will be in our aresenal of stops both directions on our frequent visits "Up North".

Oh. My. Goodness. If you have a sweet tooth, this is the place! I have heard so many things about this place but haven't been able to go. I tried the Bridge to Mackinac Island Fudge ice cream and was in heaven the whole time I ate it. I cannot wait until I get to try another flavor here. This is the place to get dessert hands down!

Ice cream and treats are really good especially the chocolate. Sometimes the workers seem like they don't wanna be there but they are still nice. And it is very lively in the store too.

Bottom line is this, if you are anywhere near Findlay, you have to make a stop at Dietsch's for some home made ice cream and some chocolate covered peanuts. You can thank me later.
