I wouldn't give this coffeehouse das boot.It wouldn't be a weekend out of town without me making plans to hit up some local coffeehouses and that's just what Doug and I did while everyone was still sleeping the hangover away at the hotel. Honestly, I had no specific place in mind to visit. I had a list of local places. Doug lives in the area so he knows what is where. Yet we ended up at a place neither on my list nor one Doug knew about. We rolled up around 8am to some sunshine and a quiet street. We strolled in and were greeted by some friendly baristas and a display case full of delicious-looking treats. I wasn't in the mood for treats so after staring at the menu for longer than I should have, I ordered myself a plain iced americana and grabbed Emily a drink to bring back to the room. Doug ordered something that wasn't coffee-related as he doesn't drink coffee and about 10 of their Umlauts. Now, the Umlauts are not those little dots you see over letters in German words. Not this time. These are their take on the cake balls you see at pretty much any place that sells baked goods. After we got our drinks, we quickly dipped back to our hotel and had our drinks over the complimentary hotel breakfast. Doug handed out the Umlauts as people woke up and they were in for a sweet surprise. I had a vanilla one and it was gone quicker than you could tell people what umlauts were (either the dot version or the baked version). The americana paired nicely with it, the bitter balancing out the sweet. The next day, I had a chocolate one as everyone came into our room singing Happy Birthday to me as I was trying to use my birthday wish to wish away my mild hangover. That one was less good as the chocolate frosting mixed with the chocolate cake was just toooo much chocolate for me. Younger me would've loved it but 36 year old me couldn't handle it.Circling back to the coffeehouse itself, it was fairly heavy on the German-influence if you hadn't guessed based on everything so far. The interior was pretty much your typical coffeehouse but with a German flair to it. This is the first German-inspired place I've been and it was a nice change of pace from your usual coffeehouses. As for the Frau Burkhart in the name, I can only guess that's the owner based on a quick glance at their website?Any who, a pretty cool little stop for coffee on a blitzkrieg weekend full of shenanigans.

Great coffee place to hang out with friends/family while sipping on a cup of coffee. They have games you can use while you're there too. The worker was great and service was spectacular. My husband accidentally spilled his drink (mopping needed) and the worker did not make a big fuss about it - she was super kind!

This place is one of my favorites in Lithopolis, but more yet in Fairfield County. The drinks are made very well, and the staff is very aware of what each drinks recipes are. The staff has also been very friendly each time we've been there. The place has a unique feel, and definitely represents a European vibe. While this vibe stands out, it is also very much apparent that it's veteran owned and proud. It's a great mix. It looks as if they have smaller events held there. It would be a great place to hold small group get-togethers.The other topics that are VERY important to talk about are the pastries. They are HEAVENLY. So far, we have tried a strudel and a cream puff. My husband ordered some sort of cookie, but he wouldn't share. They are made locally and very, very delicious. It's also important to note that they do have a lite menu, I'm just not sure of the hours and what is available daily, as I wasn't there to eat.

Meh, expensive for the amount of product. Overhyped, products unremarkable products, young employees, slow service dated dumpy atmosphere. Name is cool, but that's about it. Time for owners to invest in updating it, looks the same now it did ten years ago.

So on a cozy morning my husband and I went on a morning date. So it was a cool place with a great atmosphere. Though I felt like the disco techno music seemed out of place. They had a variety of coffee flavors and they had several TV screens that were showing what they had on their menu so that made it easy to decide what to order. So I had a breakfast sandwich that had egg and ham as well as a pumpkin bagel. I was also able to have a pumpkin chai latte with coconut milk and my husband ordered a French press. We ordered all these things to eat there. It was a 40 minute drive for us so we decided to hang out for a little bit. When my bagel sandwich and my pumpkin bagel was brought out to me my husband said oh by the way both of those are for my wife and the lady looked at us like we were crazy and she didn't listen to what he said and she gave him my bagel. I know that sounds crazy to eat two bagels but I can eat two and for the server to assume that I was being greedy or whatever it it doesn't matter when a customer specifically requests something then you should do it. It doesn't matter you can judge a customer however you want but they're asking for something to be done a certain way.Normally I would expect if you order a French press that that would indicate that you are intending to stay for a while so getting a paper coffee cup just seemed absolutely inappropriate. Especially since you have to continually refill your cup as it was the lid did not stay on very well. I would've hoped that my husband But I've gotten a ceramic mug seeing as we were spending a considerable amount of time there. I don't know if it's just me but I have a thing with cleanliness in a bathroom. First off their bathroom didn't have toilet paper I had to ask for it. The bathroom didn't look like it had been cleaned in forever the floor was dirty and sticky and they were cobwebs in the corner. It may be a while before we try again but I do have to say that the bagels were really good and my drink was excellent and the French press despite not having a mug was very good coffee. I'm only giving a three star because of the status of the bathroom and the French press situation and the customer service.

Prost! A little German coffeehouse in the heart of Lithopolis. I enjoyed the iced latte, the friendly service, and the outdoor seating to sip in the sunshine.

This is my favorite coffee spot! The drinks far surpass those of the big chain coffee spots. The staff is great, very friendly and competent. The killa breakfast sandwich is phenomenal and so are the soups in the fall/winter!

Stopped in for the 3rd or 4th time now in a year. A must when in the area. Place has been nicely painted since last visit, they are improving all the time. Standard Kaffee is about the best tasting coffee I've had anywhere. Not sure what makes it German, but I like it a lot! I wish I lived nearby!Great Apple strudel today. Last summer I had some kind of peach cobbler cookies. Outstanding, easily the 2nd best cookie I've ever tasted! Hopefully back soon!
