Quick and friendly staff. Place is large, floor could've used a mop but overall a clean joint. Pepsi products always a hit, and bar drinks were well done with average size and price. Our chef put on a wonderful show for a few first timers in our group. Food was excellent, and plates are very large. All meals were seasoned and cooked properly. Some of the best rice we've had. None of use cared for the salad, but not why we went so no great loss. They get a ding for high prices, for our budget this would be a once a year/special occasion type place due to cost alone.

Pros:Sushi was surprisingly fresh and delicious. Our hibachi master guy was so much fun - it was like getting a free show with our dinner.Our table mates were also a lot of fun. The veggies, rice and noodles were perfectly seasoned and delicious.The service was fantastic.Cons:The restaurant exterior and parking lot are worn out - they do not give a good impression. The hibachi steak and chicken were very tough and lacked seasoning. Least enjoyable part of the meal.

Daruma special was the best!It's always hard for me to choose between hibachi and sushi, because I want both.This time I picked sushi. My Dauma special was so good, so good, SO GOOOD! I could have it everyday! Love it so much.My husband picked the hibachi, everything came so perfect! Even veggies were good too. We both love every meal, started with salad and soup.Absolutely worth 20mins drive from our home :)Service was great, all the staff were so nice and we were very lucky to meet Ladda the owner, such a nice lady!100% recommend, food is great and your experience will be awesome!

Daruma is now my favorite Japanese steakhouse in Columbus! (It used to be Genji, but they're no longer in business.) Well kept building with good ambiance. The quality of the food here is top notch (as far as Japanese steakhouses go), they are generous with their portion sizes and sauces, the chefs are entertaining, and the servers are great. Daruma really has everything you would want from this type of restaurant. Only point of caution with my review is that I don't order sushi at hibachi restaurants like these, so I can't tell you whether they're any good!

We came in and the service was horrible. No receptionist welcomed us until after about 10 min. Then we sat down at the middle sushi tables and waited for another 15 min and a waiter walked to the table next to us and then walked away and didn't even acknowledge us. Won't be coming back here.

I'd recommend coming early if it's a weekend! The habachi tables fill up fast!! We haven't had sushi here yet but we will continually come back for their habachi blacktop experience. The food is always good and of high quality. It is a cute place with one side open seating and one side habachi tables with 8-10 seats at each grill. The sushi bar is tucked back on the right side. There is a small sand decoration garden when you first walk in. We definitely recommend it here!

I had been wanting to try this place for some time but hadn't gotten around to it. I am so glad I finally did! We did the hibachi, we really enjoyed everything that we ordered. The miso soup was unlike any miso soup I have had, I usually hate miso soup but this was so good. I ordered the steak and shrimp with fried rice. Everything was cooked perfectly and the portions were huge. I will be back very soon!
