Darrell's Donuts

Such delectable delights at this small bakery! Much like the other, perhaps more well known, donut shop in Zanesville, you gotta get here early for the best selection. They have all the classics & some more eccentric tastes too (maple bacon comes to mind) . Don't fret; if you come at the end of their day, you'll still find a great treat. The counter service is always friendly and prompt, better than the other donut spot.If you need anymore reason to try this place out, remember you're supporting an independent local business. It's not just the business you're supporting. Local businesses tend to buy and use other local goods & services. They sponsor local teams & charities. Keep your money here, where it needs to be, not in the pockets of wealthy corporate store board members in far away cities.

After having Donald's a couple times when passing thru, I got curious to try Darrell's. Interestingly, I feel like maybe they are long lost brothers haha. The dough and frosting seem very similar to me. I tried a jelly filled and a sour cream, which are what I've had at Donald's too. The jelly is very different. Darrell's uses more frosting, Donald's uses more filling. Both are high quality donuts!

Words can't describe these donuts. If you've never had Darrell's Donuts, it's like biting into a donut for the first time. If they were a football team, they'd be Alabama or the New England Patriots. Every other donut comes up short.

The BEST donuts EVER!!! I was a little hesitant to try the maple bacon donuts. Omg heaven in your mouth! Their donuts are so soft and fresh. Be sure to get there early before they are all sold out!'

Really yummy donuts! Moist and decent sized. They don't skimp on frosting. :-) The frosted sugar cookies were good as well. Prices very reasonable. Small, hidden gem for sure.

Poor service and the quality of the f[ood is not good I will go somewhere else next time

Love their donuts and pastries. My favs are the cherry turnovers, creme horns, maple long Johns n they also have awesome brownies...mmmmmmm

Nice staff. If you go in the later afternoon though your options for doughnuts will be extremely slim. The prices are really good & cheap. The doughnuts are so soft & moist. They pretty much crumble in your mouth. The frosting is really creamy, as well.

I started to rate Darrell's Donuts a 1 instead of a 5. Why you ask! Well, I figured that a lot of people might stay away with a low rating and then there would be plenty of my favorite donuts left for me! But instead, I was being honest this morning and gave it it's earned 5 rating.We tried this business about a month ago while traveling in the area and had just picked up a couple of breakfast sandwiches from one of the fast food restaurants. We found that they had left off our eggs so all we had was a sausage pad on a bun. Then I saw the Darrell's Donut sign! I pulled in and got 6 mixed treats for the wife and I. Oh my gosh were they good! Since then we have been back several times to get our favorites. Wow, what texture and taste! Are they as good as the other Donut shop in Zanesville. Well, I drive by it to get to Darrell's. That should give you my opinion! Will we be back? Oh come on! I'm heading that way tomorrow morning!

We took a little detour off of highway 70 to get a donut and tried Darrell's. We love donuts and these are some of the best donuts we've ever had! They have both yeast and cake donuts. Really fresh and you can tell they care about quality.
