Danny's Delicious Deli

I had been meaning to try this place for a while after a friend told me how good it was. Months later, I decided to come for lunch.I heard that it's busy around noon, so my friend and I stopped by around 11:40 on a Friday.There were already tons of people eating in here and a few others waiting for food.We didn't wait long in line as there was only one person in front of us.I had to get me the Reuben! They've got three sizes: baby, regular, or jaw breaker. I got the baby Reuben which was the perfect size! At $10.50, it was a pretty good price.We waited maybe 5-7 minutes before we got our food.Yum! It's tasty! The meat was fresh and they place the 1000 island dressing on the side so you can slather it on there yourself. I was full! A guy told me he's gotten the jaw breaker before and had to share it. Good to know!My friend got onion rings which were huge and thick! A little over $3 didn't seem like a bad deal to me.The place is interesting. It looks like a diner. Black and white tiles, red cushions on the seats. There are plenty of tables to eat at if you decide to dine in. They've got some patio seating as well!Not sure when I will return but this is one of my favorite spots downtown now!

I'm from Cleveland and an original Danny's Deli patron Excited when they opened in Columbus and enjoyed every visit at first When owners changed so did the food The corned beef was extremely fatty so I gave up and stopped going here and always went back to Cleveland My latest trip to Cleveland I found Danny's closed l was stunned Just this week I tried Danny's Delicious Deli and found it still not like it should have Danny's name on it The corned beef was extremely dry and with the platter there were 12 fries, yes I counted I will not go there again

First time, and I'm gonna to say last as well. Ordered a Ruben sandwich (the menuMakes you think you're getting corned beef and pastrami, but you're only getting corned beef apparently... they didn't offer a choice when I ordered, so I guess they just decide). And it's also the most bland and underwhelming corned beef I've ever had. I thought it was bland roast beef, but my receipt says it's corned beef. There was barely any sauerkraut as well. And for $17 would think it would be a large sandwich.... it's pretty small. No thanks.

New owners have done a number on this place. Used to be a huge fan but whatever this is...it ain't it. This was my $15 corned beef that was served to me cold and lacking any color. Looked like thick cut Arby's meat or something. Sadly they increased the price and give us less product and even worse quality. Make the drive to Cleveland if you want the real deal.

We went into Danny's for lunch this week and found it to be a capable, quick-service lunch spot. The place was busy but the staff did a good job managing our group. The menu is bigger than I thought it would be. I ordered the New Yorker, consisting of corned beef, Swiss cheese, and slaw on rye. The sandwich itself tasted good, but the meat was a bit drier than I expected. The potato wedges as a side were solid as well. The pricing is fair, but with a side (not included) and a drink it got up near $20. I'd recommend going here if you need a quick lunch in Columbus!

A Columbus landmark spot for an amazing lunch. Great prices, super clean, delicious food options always prepared fresh and made to order, and exceptional service. A must stop if you are downtown.

The sandwiches are great if your server-- makes your sandwich the way you asked--. Today my server Taylor J DID NOT .-I phoned the order in at 8m-I'm a picky eater so when I ask for thousand island dress & Spices brown mustard on the side - that's what I want!!I called the deli to explain how disappointed I was at lunch Taylor J had no apology or empathy-- she had a rude defensive tone ...just "well I didn't hear you ask for the condiments " I was looking forward to my sandwich but it was lackluster and DRY

I'm from Cleveland, but was in the area for work and decided to stop in for lunch. I ordered a half chicken salad sandwich and a side salad lunch combo. I received my food in less than 10 minutes and it was absolutely delicious!

My Boss needed a last-minute catering order for a meeting and he needed it within an hour!I have catered many meetings in our office, but I had not used one of my favorite downtown spots - Danny's Delicious Deli. Dannys is just a short walk away so I wouldn't need delivery.I called hoping they could accommodate us for such a last-minute request.And, of course, they did!!! I ordered boxed lunches that came with a variety of sandwiches, chips, a deli pickle and an awesome chocolate chip cookie.Even more impressive was the price!!!! It was way less expensive than any of my past orders from other restaurants!!Kudos Danny's!

Had a takeout order for a grand slam breakfast (french toast, bacon and 2 eggs) today. Excellent food, shockingly good even. It's obvious but you can tell this isn't just some chain restaurant. It tastes like something your mom might make at home (in a good way). Very good prices on everything too, you can't complain. The service was quick and the restaurant had a small classic diner feel. Will definitely be back!
