Been going here for years. Great service, locally owned, typical breakfast lunch counter type diner. Best burgers in Ashland. The owner's wife kept it going after he passed away. I still stop in whenever I'm back in Ohio to visit family and friends.

Stopped in for breakfast sandwiches on a road trip down south. The women who answered the phone to take our to go order couldn't have been nicer either. Prices were reasonable and the food was solid. We ordered two bacon, egg and cheese sandwiches on toast. Simple and satisfying.

This is an example of one of those places that locals either celebrate or have merely heard the legend of. It's inescapably a "greasy spoon" type of joint, with the ol' stools at the bar and the grill fully visible and sputtering. Don't go here for health food, but do go here for cheap, quick grub if you're hungry and don't mind some preservatives in what you're chowing on.Personally, I go here 100% for the milkshakes, which shake heaven and earth with their tastiness. Pick your ice cream and watch them scoop it heftily, plopping it into the milk and buzzing away to blend it all together into $2.50 frothy sweet deliciousness. Go. Go now.

It's been two years since my last visit, and nothing has changed here. I came back and it's the same great food, the same great staff. Apparently nothing has changed in decades, and that's why they do what they do so well.I can't say enough how friendly the women behind the counter are here. I hope this place never changes, five stars all day!

Maybe I just ordered the wrong thing here. I came to this place because of all the rave reviews, but I wasn't as impressed. One reviewer on another site called the burgers and fries the best they'd ever had, so I figured it was worth a shot. But the cheeseburger I got was tiny -- as in, the bun was bigger. I was expecting a big, juicy homemade patty, but this was so thin, you could barely taste the beef. It made me think of those old "Where's the beef?" Wendy's ads. The fries were ok. I'm not big on crinkle fries, but they were crispy and it was a decent-sized order. And to be fair, the place was super cheap. It's your basic hole-in-the-wall diner, which is cute, but they really need to beef up those burgers (pun intended). And the reviewer who said these were the best burgers and fries ever needs to get out more.

Great Prices...Decent Food with friendly service. I went there for the first time ever for dinner the other day and really enjoyed it. I really think that this way to go here is burger, fries, and a shake for lunch/dinner. I had the country fried steak dinner with rye toast. The steak was standard but the eggs were great! One of the other guys I was with got the burger and it looked really good. I've heard great things about the breakfast. If you like hole in the wall places this is your kind of place. Expect no frills because there are none. Another Ashland area institution crossed off my list. P.S. - Slightly odd location and no real signage but trust me it's there

My mom came here as a kid which shows you how long this place has been serving great food. The shakes are amazing and the burgers are to die for. I would recommend coming here if you like short waits and good food. Also one last thing everyone is so polite.
