D K's Drive-In

Amazingly surprisingly good place for ice cream. D K's Drive-In is a long time favorite in Galion. It also has greasy fried stuff. Forget the shabby appearance of the building. They even have Dole Whip. Getting here can take awhile. It basically is almost on the far east side of Galion. This is far past the most interesting areas of downtown where most people go through. It makes it mostly a destination for locals. The menu is basically what you expect of a place like this. Basically it's a collection of cold and hot items. It has a good selection of ice cream and treats. Check the menu for monthly flavors. There's a rotating flavor of regular ice cream and Dole Whip. Last time it was strawberry. The portions are so big you need to give yourself plenty of time. It's about $3 for a medium cup. They also have regular food like burgers and stuff. It has a drive thru if you're in a hurry. It also has some seating outside. There's a shelter with a few tables.

Great soft serve but don't expect personality when you order, place is run by teenagers it seems like.

This place is awesome I only come here for the desert and its always good! Umm maybe not the s'mores flurrie... Don't get that it tastes like fake chocolate and nasty crackers thrown in there... But yeah everything else is AawESOMe I must have been there like 5 times when I visited my sister in the area...

Love the orange slushy with ice cream!! It's so delicious the staff is always nice and helpful. If you're looking for great desserts I strongly recommend this place!!! Their flurry's are tasty and don't skimp on the fillings, the soft serve is refreshing on hot days!! Did I mention the slushy!!

The service is great and love the weekly special ice cream creation. The food is fresh and tasty and a good value.

Possibly one of the rudest owners of any business in Galion! She is unfriendly and not helpful. She almost acts like you are a bother. We now drive all the way across town to get ice cream when we are craving good service, a smile and a friendly atmosphere. We stopped going a few years ago because of the price increases, unless the sherbert of the week was what everyone wanted. Do to a recent conversation on the phone with the owner we won't even be doing that. I would rather give my hard earned money to someone who knows how to work with the public!

i've never, ever had an issue with DK's staff, and they've always customized my order, no matter how 'out of the ordinary' it was. They've always been pleasant, even when they're busy. Best soft serve in town. Nothing beats the orange sherbet twisted with vanilla. DK's is definitely one of my favorite places!
