We were fortunate enough that we were back in Ohio for their after Christmas reopening and menu change. My wife and I arrived with my mom and our good friend fairly close to opening. Ryan was behind the bar as usual doing his usual great job. We truly appreciate his professionalism and friendliness as we do with Sean and the remainder of the staff. You can't beat the people here as you can't beat the food! We open with a starter of the oysters, Rockefeller. A slight twist on the standard, the Sambuca does stand out. That said, they were still pretty darn good! My wife decided on their Caesar salad and a cheese course that was on their bar happy hour menu. My mom decided on the crabcakes while our friend and I both went with the steak and frites. I thought the steak and frights were terrific! Superbly cooked with a wonderful presentation. The crabcakes seemed to have a little bit more filler than what we would normally like. That said, overall taste, and the presentation were very good. My wife truly enjoyed her Caesar salad and cheese course! We truly enjoy coming to this wonderful spot, one of the few in Mansfield! Looking forward to our next visit!

07/08/23The wine and Tappas were good. I am a sucker for their sweet riesling, the six of us had two flights. Had the Brussels Sprouts with Shrimp, the Flatbread, and the fries, all good to great. Angelica was a great waitress, and knew her wines. She was attentive and really knew how to please her customers. The decore was comfy and conducive to spending 2 and a half hours there. Also the fireplace and couches were a touch above. The visit by the owners were a special treat. I also left with two bottles of Riesling. What great ambiance in a wine cellar, my cudos to the designer.

I had been to Hudson and Essex already with my fiancé so we decided to give Cypress Cellars a try. We actually enjoyed our experience here even better! We are huge wine lovers, so the flight options for us were a big win! While not all their wines were the best, they still had some good options and the flight itself was presented well and a fun option. We learned from the upstairs restaurant that tapas are the way to go here. They constantly seem to be changing their menu so we tried all new things and loved everything. I'm not a huge seafood fan and even the lobster mac was tasty. The atmosphere in the cellar is really great and they had live music which is always a bonus! We will definitely be coming back and recommending it to others as well!

This place has a very nice relaxed atmosphere during the weekdays, and on weekends they have live music and it gets very busy! The staff are all very friendly and professional. There's a decent variety of wines and drafts to try, and they have continued their flights of wine from their previous location. The food is limited to the small plates and flatbread also served upstairs in the restaurant, but the small plate prices are decent and all the food we tried was very very good! Would highly recommend the Mac and cheese or the Brussel sprout salad. If you like sweet wine, try their blueberry, it's sweet and a little tart. Their peach is also a gentle sweet :) Great for a night out with friends!

No matter where we travel we always try to find a local winery. This past weekend we were in central Ohio for a wedding and made a stop in Mansfield to see the Ohio State Reformatory and also discovered this cute winery in downtown Mansfield.Cypress Cellars is literally in the cellar below a restaurant. You can enter from the restaurant and head downstairs (which we did) or there is door from the parking lot in the back. It's not very large and almost half of their space is where the red wine is made, but it is comfortable and I didn't feel like I was in a cellar. We arrived around 4:30pm on Friday. We were the only ones there for a little bit until a large 6 party group showed up. Our server was very nice and explained the history about the winery and very knowledgeable about the wines they make. We opted to go with just a glass a wine each vs. a tasting. I had the Malbac, which was very good with tastes of black fruit, coffee, and chocolate flavors. D had the Petit Sirah and gave it 2 thumbs up. I purchased a bottle of the Malbac and look forward to serving it to my friends.

Had an interesting experience at Cypress. We arrived right as they opened, generally was impressed with the atmosphere. It felt fiery cozy and warm. Shortly after uncorking our first bottle, the power went out. We had the awkward dilemma of sitting in the dark/quiet basement with the wine we had just ordered or leaving with our wine. We decided to stay and we were glad we did. As they turned other customers away due to their POs system being down, they allowed us to play music on our phones and make our selves at home. The Reformatory Red was great and warmed us up on that cold windy day. Great memory at a great place.

Cypress Cellars is a Mansfield gem. There is a wide variety of wines to choose from, and I can honestly say that I enjoyed everything that I tried. (If you are a white wine fan I thoroughly recommend the Viognier.) The ambiance is wonderful- the tables are all placed literally in the midst of a working wine cellar. The walls are exposed brick and everything is bathed in a warm, dusky light. Our server was very friendly, informative, and attentive (perhaps because he was one of the owners of Cypress Cellars!). Cypress Cellars is great that way- it is a nice blend of sophistication and coziness. As a side note, I highly recommend buying a bottle of their olive oil. It is my favorite olive oil, hands down...and this is coming from a girl whose friend just brought her olive oil home from Italy!Cypress Cellars: A lovely blend of sophistication and coziness. (And the wine is good, too!)

Yep, I'm a fan. It was really great learning about what they do to make their wines. I was surprised to meet the owner/ wine maker. That sets this place apart. It's great to have a place in town like this.

The wine here is FANTASTIC. Wish they had food, but we just went upstairs and ate (and ordered more of their wine!). We tried blueberry wine at another winery, which happens to be a blueberry farm, and their wine wasn't 1/2 as good as Cypress. I'm a fan of whites and I don't think they had one I didn't like. We have been to MANY wineries, and so far, this wine is my favorite.
