Cumberland Trail Golf Club

Spring of 2020 has definitely been crazy- so I was beyond thrilled to meet up with friends to "social distance" on the golf course! My husband works in the golf industry and really enjoys Cumberland Trail whenever we play there. The course was in decent shape, considering the rain we had the whole week. The employees working in the golf shop were friendly and efficient with getting us out to the course, and staff in the beverage area were great also! When we finished with the round, we took a little time to visit on the patio, which is spacious and beautiful. Overall all great visit, and great course!

Food and service are great 80% of our visits. Like many businesses they suffer from lack of employees. We enjoy the atmosphere and the food. It's good quality ample portions and good presentation.

Course was in great condition. Staff was friendly but 50/50 on wearing masks. Food was good but the accompaniments (i.e mushrooms for burger and spring mix for salmon) were rotten. It's not 1989 anymore you can't fool people with lazy practices. The salmon was seasoned and moist but judging by the appearance it was deep fried. The Aborio Rice appeared to be done well but old bitter (sauteed) greens really set it back. Burger was cooked perfectly, I started to smell rancid meat but determined it was the mushrooms that were causing the funk. I could have sent it back but I hate doing such. This review might seem passive aggressive but its just an accurate account. I plan to return to the course in the future. You really can't expect too much from golf food, generally speaking.The cajun chicken pasta was good. Breadsticks were generous.I liked the caesar salad too.Server was very friendly as well.Golf staff was very friendly as well.Over all good job!

I have never, ever had to work harder in my life to give my money to a business before Cumberland. There are several factors that seem to contribute to this. First of all their hours are until 7 pm, but it's effectively 6:30, or sometimes even 6. Half the time I try to go after work the doors are locked and the employee is halfway to the first fairway. Second, and feeding into the first even when it's a perfectly normal hour to stop by the course (say mid afternoon), half the time nobody's in the club house to take my money. Third, I've been there multiple times to pick up a bag of balls for the range and been turned away because they were too lazy to pick the range and reload on balls/bags. It just seems strange that I can only give them money once a week when I would love to 4-5 times per week. The only reason i give it 4 stars is because the course is in immaculate condition all year. Credit where it is due, they know exactly how to take care of a golf course, and the fairways/greens run perfectly from early spring to late fall. Even the practice green is kept in fantastic shape. All in all, I really love this course. But if there was another course on par with this in the area, I would probably begin to take the bulk of my business elsewhere.

Nice course, great patio, friendly staff. Enjoyed the round of golf and plan to go back when in Columbus.

Really nice course!! I live right by it and play often and it's very fun! In my opinion it should be a course for Amateur Tournaments.

Exceedingly busy most holes had 3 groups. Sand Traps very thin coverage. Waited on every shot. Ranger apologized for slow play but said it is always like this. Be careful driving to course Pataskala is a notorious speed trap with speed limits 20mph lower on all types of roads with local cops everywhere.

Beautiful course! Very well maintained and a very friendly staff! Amazing technology for keeping scores in cart. What a great day of golf!

The Cumberland Bar & Grill provided catering for our corporate event and did an awesome job! Everything was on time and the food was delicious. The chef did a great job! I definitely recommend them for any events.

Great course, clubhouse is nice, friendly staff. Looks like it was recently remodeled. Back nine has housing construction, do the cart meanders thru this.
