CORA'S CURIOSITIES

Saw this place on TikTok and knew I needed to check it out! I am so glad I did! Greeted by the friendliest staff as soon as I entered, I was immediately transfixed on the weird and wonderful merchandise in the store. They had a fantastic selection of unique one of a kind pieces that both delighted and frightened me lol. I didn't buy anything this time but found the prices to be quite reasonable. Definitely an experience to be had!

I've been so excited to come here for a couple weeks since seeing it on Yelp, but I was honestly disappointed. Don't get me wrong, the items were really cool and unique to me. If I spend upwards of 30 minutes browsing a store, especially a small business, I almost always buy at least a little small thing before I go. But after spending all that time in the store and only receiving a single tepid "hello" from 1 out of 2 of the employees working, I frankly felt extremely unwelcome. One of the employees spent a long time enthusiastically talking to another patron, but once they left, both employees continued to stick to themselves and not say a word to me, even when I was browsing right beside the register. The prices were much higher than I expected or thought most of the items were worth, but I still would've bought something and returned for the vibes if I'd had a good experience. You can find cheaper similar items at some of the nearby antique stores and other oddity stores. I might try coming here again, but based on my experience, it won't be any time soon.

Cora is amazing, has an amazing eye, has been a stellar presence in Columbus for years. Cora's Curiosities is just the icing on a very layered cake!
