I have been a member of this gym for almost 2 years. I love it! I really think it's the best kept gym secret because it's usually pretty empty, well at least the times I go. I go early on weekends or I'm there by 4 through the week. The gym offers plenty of treadmills, stationary bikes, elliptical trainers, etc. They also have ample weight machines. I have never noticed anyone waiting around on a machine. My main reason for going is for the free weights. There is a side room with mirrors that has kettle bells, jump ropes, stability balls, etc and I spend most of my time there. I'm usually the only one using the room. It's basically like my own personal gym, which I love! The only reason I give CSC 4 stars is because of class times. I signed up initially to do their spinning classes. But those classes aren't offered until 6pm. I'm a go right after work kind of girl and I thought I could be flexible on this but sadly I'm not. I just wish they would offer earlier classes. But I know, the typical masses get off at 5. It's unfortunate.I recommend this gym to anyone looking for a no frills, get in/get out, never have to wait for cardio, gym.

I really wanted to like Columbus Sports Connection. My trainer, Todd, was fantastic. Unfortunately, that's where the positives end. Staff is unfriendly and unhelpful. There are much better gyms nearby.

The Front desk worker was a Jerk ( somewhat short Caucasian male ,black hair). I went in searching for a gym tour, he gives me a less than 10min tour of the facility. He did not show me anything or even any insight on the price, features, or the benefits of this gym. The 1st impression was a zero.

PROS:- Additional amenities like spinning, yoga, childcare.- Rarely overcrowded. Does not have that claustrophobic feel of some gyms.- Staff is friendly.CONS:- Expensive for what you get.- Some of the equipment is old and outdated, with worn pads, etc.- The place is dirty. I expect equipment to be thoroughly cleaned on a regular bases, especially at these prices. Instead, I find grime-buildup that I actually recognize over months. Half of the cleaning bottles don't work and the wipe-towels are old and always filthy. Yuk!- The layout is awful. Big, open, unused spaces with some machines crammed together for no logical reason.- Chronic, ongoing construction and buckets to catch drips when it rains.- Security issues. I've had my car broken into twice over the years (busted glass and all). There are no cameras in the lots. Why?THE SKINNY:- It's on the pricey side for what you get. (Thankfully, my insurance covers the cost.) - I like the fact that I can always get on a machine without waiting and that it has an open, airy vibe.- No Gym-jocks, just regular people.- Park as close as you can towards the front to lessen the chance of a burglary.- There are better choices out there for the price. They need to try harder.

This is a great facility in Clintonville - It has a decent sized selection of cardio machines- ellipticals, treadmills, stationary bikes, stair steppers, rowing machines, and even a free-range elliptical runner (not sure that is the right name for it!)The strength training side of the gym also has great variety - lots of machines, free weights, benches, stability balls, bands, kettle bells, ab machines, etc.. They also offer classes- anything from pilates and yoga to zumba and high-intensity cardio and kickboxing. The spinning classes are amazing- if you are a fan of spinning, you will love their classes- they have a dark room with blacklights, lots of fans and great music- It is your time to put your head down, be invisible and workout hard! The staff are very friendly and maintain their equipment well- Everything is always clean and in good working order. The women's restroom has a couple showers, a scale, lots of locker room space and three stalls- also, always very clean and kept neat. They offer towels as well. A big selling point for this place is that they have daycare- you can get more information from their website- I do not have children so I do not know much- however, a coworker of mine does and she says they are great there- very attentive and her children always have fun while she works out. The crowd is mostly mature adults and seniors - not many 20-somethings and if there are any, they don't sit on a bench and text and check themselves out in the mirror - everyone is there to work hard and the patrons are courteous to others- a very friendly atmosphere- very easy to make friends with your fellow fitness enthusiasts! In the mornings it is not real busy so you can always get a spot on the machine you want (by mornings, I mean 6am) After work crowd is of course a little thicker- but most likely you will get a machine and you will have your own space to work out. I definitely recommend this gym- the classes are great and the personal trainers are highly knowledgeable.

This is my main gym! I kind of love this place. Here are some things you need to know about it though:-The classes here are awesome. They have spinning, like, 4 times a day and it is a serious workout. There are blacklights and blasting music and people wear real bike pants (not a requirement, but it happens a lot, so if you are going to compare your workout clothes to others, BEWARE) and it is an experience. I kind of love their Pilates class here-the instructor really knows her stuff.-No one is really here just to check other people out. I kind of love that I show up in an old Race for the Cure shirt and yoga pants and it's fine.-There is no pool or track. It is mostly a machine and a class place. So if you want other things, well...this might not be for you.-There is a TOWEL SERVICE. Maybe you don't know how great that can be but it is SO SO GREAT. Showering is a snap here and it definitely cuts down on what I have to bring with me.-There are lockers you can use while you're there, but you can't just permanently have a locker that's yours. If you're into that sort of thing. If you live in Clintonville, this is an awesome gym! Come hang out with me and not judge my workout clothes!

I love CSC and have been a member for about 12 years. Great facility with so much to offer. Nice selection of free weights and machines, excellent classes guaranteed to make you work up a sweat and burn some major calories! No way I would miss the Tuesday evening bootcamp class, I look forward to it weekly as Jen is awesome! Great childcare center, clean locker rooms, and nice variety of cardio equipment. Trainers are super friendly too. North Star across the street doesn't hurt either! I highly recommend CSC no matter what your age. It's just an all around great gym!

Love this place. So clean, so casual, so much great equipment (kettlebells, free weights, physioballs in addition to the standard treadmills, ellipticals & rowing & weight machines). Plus towel service and shampoo/conditioner/body wash stocked in the showers and friendly front desk staff. Wish I had discovered this place years ago!
