Columbus School for Girls is the top choice for girls in Ohio. The facilities and grounds are state of the art, the teachers are both highly qualified and warm and welcoming. The atmosphere is friendly and every girl is welcome. CGS promotes equality for all their students. Many different financial backgrounds and cultures are represented. No one eats alone at lunch, the girls are nice to each other. It is truly a sisterhood of girls.

I first heard of CSG when I was a kid in Toledo and my school played them. They had a good reputation even then, statewide. Since then I married someone who went there, and learned more about it. Sweetie loved going there, got a great education, and still supports them. I have been to several events there and met many alums: wonderful, smart, strong women. The campus is beautiful, the teachers clearly love their jobs and the girls, and CSG looks to be the best place in central Ohio to get a college-prep education. Baby K might go there. I say might because it is outrageously expensive. So, start saving now. But it is worth it. There are so many opportunities at CSG (and there are scholarships.) The world is your oyster, and the support for students and alumni is impressive.

It is one of the best swimming pools that I have ever swam in Columbus, but McCorkle Aquatic Pavlion at The Ohio State University is still the top pool. The Columbus School for Girls pool is less than 10 years old. It is home of the Unicorns and home for the Unified Aquatic Club. I was able to change with other guys in the Visitors Locker Room, despite is still a girls locker room technically. If it will be the only time to swim at the Columbus School for Girls swimming pool, I would recommend swimming in this pool. I enjoyed every minute being in their pool. I would love to see a Masters team and maybe a Special Olympics team practicing at the CSG pool. The pool membership is only for Bexley residents and students of CSG and members swim teams.

We have many wonderful things to say about CSG.We were terrified with our girls switching schools and so were they, but CSG made the transition so smooth for our family. The kids made friends very quickly and absolutely love it there! They learn things that they would never learn in other schools, public or private.I wanted to give our girls opportunities, that I never had, and I think CSG was the best thing we could have ever done for them. Our oldest who absolutely hated to read, and would fight us everyday is now joining book clubs, and reads on her way to school in the car.Our youngest, the social butterfly, has formed a new "group" of friends as she calls it.They now have a voice! Things they do now outside of the realm of everyday school work are recognized, and celebrated instead of just being blown off. For example our oldest wanted to quit ukulele, until her teacher had her bring it in, and play for the class! and now she has a renewed interest, and has gotten so good at it in such a short period of time. They are learning other languages, cultures, and sometimes they take their evening screen time to practice counting or signing in Spanish. It is truly amazing! All the help from the Reading Specialist, Math Specialist, Home Room Teachers, Specialty Teachers, to the Nurse! We can not Thank you enough!

CSG was one of the worst experiences of my life. I went there for two years in high school and never has I felt more alone and depressed. For a little background, I have been to every type of school: poor public, best public, charter, and private. My parents thought this would be a great experience where I could learn about myself but it took a turn for the worst.Students life: The girls there are in complete clicks and the separation between economic classes are apparent. Students don't take classes seriously, especially foreign language (I took Spanish) and English. No one ever did the readings for class and it was considered cool to not do your homework. In order to compensate for this teachers offer so much extra credit and "curve" grades to make the school look better. Girls have an excuse not to put there all into school which makes athletics and other extra curriculars a joke. College: Im very analytical so let break down some of the facts on there website. First one given, "The class of 2018 was awarded 7.25 million dollars in scholarships". There were 52 girls in that class leading to an average amount of scholarships of about $140,000. This would be split up among all the schools they got into and its not uncommon for one to apply to 10+ colleges. 4 years of high school will cost $107,385 in tuition alone.Thereis no ways you will make that back in college admissions. Everything there is about window dressing and the school is NOT WORTH IT. Politics: If you want to groom the future liberal and take away there chance of thinking freely, send them here. Th school sponsored a walkout. Also bake sale and asking for donations to planned parenthood happened quite often.Safety: If you want to send your daughter into an unsafe environment, this is the place for you. It is one of the only schools in Columbus with out an armed guard even though the most dangerous neighborhoods in the city are a few miles away. It is bordered by Livingston, Near East, and Whitehall. With Milo Grogan, the MOST dangerous place in Columbus being 3 miles away. Plus girls have gotten there cars broken into almost every year at kirk campus.

I went to CSG for 7 years and the atmosphere is perfect--if you are rich, Jewish, and elitist. The attitude was arrogant and snobbish. Too bad because the curriculum was quite good, and clearly they have a lot of money for great facilities. The attitude towards men is akin to that of third wave feminism in general --they are an inferior species. The attitude made my 7 years miserable. The education set me up for a positive future, although I think I would have done fine regardless. Save your money. Unless you want your daughter to be taught these attitudes.
