The festival is very well organized and had a really diverse, talented group of artists exhibiting. Much of the artwork being sold seemed extremely expensive, but I don't know if that is different than in years past. Great stage set-up for live music and enough food trucks to feed the masses. The parking garage behind the Junto Hotel had $20 all day parking and it was a perfect location to just walk across the street to the festival.

This is how an event like this is supposed to be. We went both Friday and Saturday evenings. There were a lot of people, but because the event is so spread out, we never felt overwhelmed by crowds, even with the perfect weather. We both got food in under 5 minutes. The beer and wine are $10 each, but I wouldn't call that outrageous. Maybe it keeps people from drinking too much. Never a large line for drinks. Get your ID checked once, get a wrist band, stand in one line. No tickets, no tokens that might go unused, no need to stand in line twice. No barriers for entry, just walk in. No fights. So many great artists. So many food stands to choose from. Restrooms and drink stands plentiful. They've really improved on this over the years.Other events could learn from this one.

I haven't been to the Arts Fest for many years, and wow has it changed. It use to be a plethora of art - the whole gamete - both in mediums and price points. Back when this festival lined both sides of Civic Center Drive, I feel like there were more booths, too. I have heard over the years, registering for a spot in this festival has jumped in price; probably why there's way more high-priced art now, as they can afford to set up shop for the three-day downtown hoopla. It's super nice to pride the stalls, and in my case, add to my dream wish list of what I'd run across a large amount of disposable income - a lottery perhaps, haha!

Last year, I'd heard about it. This year I got to check it out. I wasn't prepared for how huge the festival was. There were so many unique and wonderful vendors. The artists represent the best from all over the country and I've actually seen some of them in Tampa before. This festival spans streets and over bridges, it offers music and acting talent - basically it's a festival that celebrates all sorts of creativity and I'm really glad I got a chance to experience it.

The Columbus Arts Festival is maybe one of the first events I remember attending as a child with my family when we moved to Ohio 20 plus years ago. Ever since, I have been going back every other year to see what's new/old from each year I've been there. This year I attended it with my friend and think it's one of the largest I've ever attended. Many local artists with cool photographs, paintings, etc. As well as vendors like Best Buy, Bubbly, etc. You can't forget the food trucks, everything from pizza to ice cream was there. I really am impressed with this year's preparation for this huge art festival. Everything from local artists to musicians performing was wonderful. I even advertised it to my family and friend's, many of which attended with my pictures I posted on the event.I'll definitely be back next year to see what's new again. Perfect way to stroll our beautiful city and explore local artists talents.

Most definitely my favorite festival of the year and this year was no exception as I was wowed over and over again. As you may have noticed I love nothing more than supporting the arts and this is such a fun way to do exactly that as you have access to our local artists and those that have traveled from all over the United States to share their talents and work with us.Glassblown masterpieces, divine photography, painting in every medium, sculptures big & small... Definitely something for everyone and so easily found with the official Columbus Arts Festival app that covers every aspect of the event in vivid detail. For example, you can browse the performance schedule and easily add it to yours. We also loved being able to see the artists listed by category and then read about them and add them to our app to do list. Another great feature of the app I'd that it lists food/drink vendors and their menus so you can really plan ahead. We also put the app to good use for parking and logistics. All of these features really enhanced our experience.

The Columbus Arts Festival sort of heralds the beginning of summer in Columbus. It is usually the 1st weekend in June (typically the weekend after Memorial Day). The Columbus Arts Festival is staged along the banks of the Scioto River in downtown Columbus. The booths and exhibits usually span Main St and Towne Street bridges and the connecting streets near COSI and the area in and around Bicentennial Park. This is a "juried" show - meaning that the artists apply to be in the show and are selected. This results in a variety of high-quality art being shown. In addition to the art, there are many food booths and food trucks at the Festival offering a variety of what I affectionately refer to as "fair food" - the stuff that you don't typically eat at home. You can spend as much time as you want but you should plan a minimum of 2 hours to do the show justice.

Finally made it to the Arts Fest! I can't believe how huge it was. Over 300 vendors from all over the US taking over downtown Columbus along the Scioto River. So many different, beautiful art forms-paintings, photography, jewelry, and soooo much more. Many different price ranges of art, creating the opportunity for regular folks like me to expand our art collections (which I did!) I highly recommend stopping by the booths of the artists selected as Emerging Artists-support up and coming, local (Central Ohio) artists.Lots of different foods to choose from. You can drink alcoholic beverages on the streets within the confines of the festival (yessss!). Columbus Arts Festival is a fabulous kick-off to the Cbus summer fest season.

This year was my first year being able to attend the magnificent Columbus Arts Festival! Despite the consistent rain, I really enjoyed it and I'm so glad I was able to go for a few hours! It was very easy for me to a get to. I simply ubered there and got dropped off so I didn't have to worry about parking. Once I got there I immediately started walking the streets of downtown Columbus to see what kind of cool art was out there. There were so many artists set up with awesome booths, every corner I turned there was something new. I was amazed at what they were able to come up with (variety wise). I noticed a lot of pottery and ceramic work, which I love! There's a lot of history in Ohio regarding ceramics so it was cool to see that represented at the fest. There was also tons of jewelry and paintings as well. I think the most unique thing I saw was a sculptural weaving artist. I had never seen this done before and was truly amazed. On top of all the talented artists from around the U.S., the festival had a large variety of food and drinks as well as music. This was a big plus! It was great to be able to grab a drink and walk around while enjoying some background jams. They had a couple different stages set up with rotating musicians so the variety was nice. I am already looking forward to going back to the Columbus Arts Festival next year and I know this will become an annual thing for me. See you in 2019!
