Columbus Apartel

My daughter and I lived in one of the units about a year ago for about three weeks. Our unit was completely furnished, the sofa converted to a bed.....which was nice! We were given new bedding for the bedroom. They even had shampoo & conditioner, soap, toothpaste, and toilet paper!!!!! The furnishings were not brand new but they were clean, and in working order! I did not see Any evidence of roaches or bedbugs in the unit we lived in. I would (and have) recommend the apartel for someone that needed a place quick! if you are between apartments, going thru a break up or new to the area this is an easy to get in, short-term, completely furnished, all utilities option (including Internet, phone, and cable). It's cheaper and bigger than a motel! It does have its downfalls........ My daughter and I worked 2nd shift at the time we lived there. Our last week there we were late paying our rent, because of our work schedule. Fortunately we arrived home when we did as the Manager/Maintenance Guy was in the process of changing our locks!!!! He stopped as soon as we paid him, but he had also turned off our Electricity, and had to turn it back on for us also. I felt that was unprofessional and we left at the end of the week! I still recommend the apartel and would go back myself if ever necessary!!!! Just don't be late paying your rent............

everyone thinks this place is full of joy and excitement and it's not. this landlord paid me $500 to leave his property because i was going to take him to court for fraud he as in thang was doing with people ssn and he made me sign a paper that said i can't tell anyone what's going on or contact the police and or the news. the $500 was to keep me quiet. today i got a phone call from spectrum saying that i still actively live there at that apartment and i dont but they have a lease that says i do but i don't. be careful not all foreign people are and can be trusted.fyi he is trying to cover what he did saying he evicted never took me to court paid me $500 as you see below on my cash app and made his maintenance man (max) at that time to bring me the paper thats typed up and said that the only way thang would pay me to leave is if i signed the paper work because i was going to take him to court. black mail or not. im a previous property manager of his property and i know every little fraud he does and still currently have tenants reaching out to me for help because of what he is doing.thang you cant try and cover up what you have done i was told to take the to the cops because i shouldnt of been paid to leave because you were and still are doing fraud with tenants personal information.he also emailed me and asked me to take this review down because its inappropriate but its notemail included as well since he wants to lie columbus apparel tenants be careful don't rent from this scam artist.read the reviews the low ones he pays people to write positive reviews for him because he knows he is no good

Avoid this placeThis place is a joke. If you get hurt on the property the owner will promise to pay for the hospital/doctor bills. Yet he does not. They new office management are very unprofessional. They do not wear their maskes when talking to someone at the office.

Where do I start? Bug infested. Roaches, fleas YOU NAME IT. When I first moved in I got bit several times on my legs after I'd wake up in the morning. Also the apartments are run down and nothing but dumps. All they advertise is the very few remodeled apartments but they won't show you the crap hole everyone else including me stayed in. Their maintenance is a joke. Before I moved in they claimed they "cleaned" but came in and the floors have holes in them, stains on the floors and walls and a thick coating of yummy cigarette smoke all over the place. So before I could even move in I had to clean everything. Air conditioning units brown from all the cigarette smoke from the people before me. Also, all the floors were messed up and people who lived here chain smoke like it's no tomorrow so it always smelled like smoke. So I'd wake up with headaches and stuffy nose and feel sick because they let people smoke 24/7. And not to forget the people who smoke weed and crack and who else knows. Also, they claim to be a gated community which is half true. BUT when it got cold outside the gates don't work and most of the time anybody or anything can park in the parking lot. So you have complete strangers parking in the parking lot but the people who actually pay to live there have to park at the rental office or by the street. Not to mention there was about one fight a day there where people are screaming at each other in the middle of the night. And people who have speakers blaring their music. And drug deals and people smoking crack. And they have "cameras".. biggest joke ever. Last but not least, the owner of this place. I am so disappointed in the owner of this place who doesn't even live here in Columbus Ohio and who picked random people to run this place. You expect people to pay $1,500 a month for this CRAP hole run down nasty place?!! You can go down towards downtown and get a BRAND NEW apartment for less if not the same amount of money. Do your self and your belongings and family a favor and STAY AWAY. I literally had to leave all my stuff behind because I didn't want to take all the bugs and nastiness from this crap hole with me. The guy who owns this place should be sued for the way he takes shortcuts to get more people in there and more money in his pocket. TOTAL JOKE and GHETTO TRASH!

Terrible place to stay. They charge $115 deposit on a studio apartment and a $15 deposit for a mailbox. The apartments are furnished and the furnishings are old and run down. The apartments look nothing like the photos shown on line. When we moved in we advised we would stay for 1 month. They use the last 4 digits of your social security number to enter the iron gates and the building you live in so they know exactly when you come & go. They know everything about your business.The neighborhood is not safe to out at night. There's a reason why there is an iron gate and the apartments and security guards. When you leave your apartment, they turn the electric off to save costs on their end. Then you have to call to get the electric turned back on. You must give a 2 day notice before you move out. We did everything requested. Our move-out inspection had no issues. We were suppose to received the deposits of $130 back within 4-5 weeks of move out. It has been 8 weeks and no deposits returned. They don't respond to e-mails. Run as fast as you can from this place. Stay at a hotel and get a monthly rate. It ended up being very expensive and a run down unsafe place to stay. Owners are not honorable people.

DO NOT RENT HERE!!! My stay here was nothing short of living a nightmare. You do not feel safe, comfortable or cozy like advertised. They watch everything you do, and go so far as to fine you for being in the hallway talking nicely to a neighbor. These people give out fines for any small thing that they want to just to take more money out of your pockets. Yes the apartments are full furnished, but you will find that most things are broken and disgusting, and when you complain their alternative to fixing the problems is relocating you to a different unit. All units are infested with tons of cockroaches and bed bugs. These bugs I had never encountered in my life until i lived here and upon leaving here I had to toss many of my things because of this. The staff here is very rude and inconsiderate. You will find that you are being harrassed and in some cases verbally and physically assaulted as in my case, for next to no reason. The prices here are a joke, if you are even a day late on rent you get hit with a nice late fee, but on top of that they will turn off your electricity until they collect the remaining amount. They are careless. You will not find this until you are living there though, they were very kind when I first moved into here. This is a horrible place with horrible people running it......they need to be shut down and condemned. Hopefully you take my advice and do not choose to live here! You'll be thankful because I couldn't get out fast enough!
