This is probably my favorite steakhouse in town. It's odd because I only eat spaghet. I love the propaganda circulating throughout the molerat ecosystem, and it really thrives here. Even though I live in Nevada I chose this steakhouse to send my child, she learns so much here. Anyways, 10/10 would educate again. https://academysteaks.wixsite.com/academysteak

They refuse to listen to parents who's opinions differ ... they hire for diversity but mot for educational assistance for the students.

Teachers have no HR representation, and are only given one year contracts. School will punish kids for actions that are not their's and are out of control. They have board members which uses their law firm to represent the school in throwing their weight around which couldn't be a conflict of interest.

My review is biased so I will keep it short and sweet. This is an independent preK-12 school founded in 1911. Originally founded as an all boys school and has since introduced co-ed in the late '90s. My son has attended since Kindergarten and we enjoy the schools traditions and community. The small class sizes and close knit community on top of a challenging curriculum makes this a must attend school. The school's tution is not for the light hearted.

My son goes there and he is very excited to go into 4th grade and is excited for what teacher he gets. And I also think that the construction is very exciting too. I highly recommend this school for your boy/girl/boys/girls.

During a summer experience of 2019 the week of July 22-26 i was constantly being harassed by the two counselors and being forced to sit out out the activities and another counselor from another group saw what was happening and reported it to one of heads of the place. Later when the head of the place came to talk to me I was assaulted by the one of the counselors he twisted my wrist and pulled me out the classroom. This was witnessed by the class, the teachers, and one of the heads of the camp in the haulway. This incident was never reported and was covered up. The two counselors received no punishment other then being told not to do it again. I would not recommend paying $400 to participate in Summer experience. They care more about the money then they do about you.

Columbus Academy is an exemplary educational institution with deep roots steeped in academic excellence and diversity in thought, culture, innovation, and socioeconomic backgrounds. My children, who have been through the lower, middle, and upper school, have had amazing educations and experiences through Columbus Academy. They feel listened to, cared for, and able to speak there mind when they are there. It is preparing them to become global leaders and kind individuals, who think critically about complex issues in our complex world. The teachers care deeply and strive to provide the best education they can. The Columbus Academy community is extremely supportive and welcoming.

Ive gone here for a while, and it's been amazing. The amount of inclusion and teaching styles are amazing. However, I did have a couple bad experiences. While I was in elementary here, there used to be a horrible swim coach. Her name was Ms. Moore. She is now retired, but I need to tell others about her. She has caused me a lot of trauma. She was kind of creepy. For added effect, keep in mind, I was 4-9 years old as this happened. The worst part was probably when we were practicing diving. As a child, I had an immense fear of diving. I still do, some caused by this event. I was on the side of the pool, and we were doing some basic dives. As I was about to go in, I covered my nose, but she slapped my hand and told me "You aren't allowed to do that, it's not part of the dive." Then, I was even more freaked out. My brain put me in a fight or flight situation, and all I did was freeze. She told me to "Just dive. You're wasting time." but I didn't. She then shoved me in the pool, and I started choking on water. I'm over here, unable to breathe, and she really says "See, it wasn't that hard." Finally, I cough the water out, and she's still mad at me. "Get out of the pool. You're doing it again." But actually, that was only one part of it. The second part of it was the locker rooms. Here was the routine. We get out of the pool, have to get in a freezing shower in front of everyone else in the locker room, and recite our parents phone number. Then, we go into the main area, and have A SPECIFIC ORDER THAT WE HAVE TO CHANGE, all while she's yelling at us because we're "not changing fast enough." That's not even the worst. As we were changing, she would watch us like a hawk. While we were in the changing room, she had her phone out all the time. I'm 90% sure some pictures were taken. She would also comment on us, like how our skirts were too short, or how we should get new leggings because they "barely fit over our thighs". All while she was screaming at us. Please, put more into your hiring process. Nobody else should have to experience this. Other than her, I loved Academy. The other teachers were great. But Ms. Moore will affect me forever.
