I cursed a lot in here I hope that is ok. In the name of the Lord.Coffee I very enjoyed because it was not bitter BUT! Not too sweet! Hear my cry, Asians.Very spacious basement with lots of outlets and clean pop/folk music that young white Christians probably like (I.e., Taylor Swift, 1D). My Midwest upbringing prepared me for this moment.I think this is a great place to study given the free parking and quiet ambiance! I mean it was quiet for me But also I was singing along. But like under my breath. So I hope other people there also had a quiet experience?Anyway my only qualm about the location is that it is maybe a no-no for ppl with seasonal depression because there is zero natural light and is pretty dim.

Looking for the closest coffee place, and this was it and gets good reviews. It's in the basement of a church. Pulling up, I couldn't see it. There is a sign near the church entrance though. The entrance looked dark, and is really just a stairwell, so I still wasn't sure I was in the right place or if it was open. But it was; sign says open weekdays, and I think they are open 7-5 or so. I was there at 9am and it was empty. And it's huge! The whole church could have coffee before or after the service. Coffee bar along one side, they have pastries and sandwiches sometimes, and can make all the usual suspects in terms of coffee. I got one of several seasonals, a holiday caramel something latte. Pretty good. Rich but not overly sweet, plenty of coffee flavor coming through. Got Sweetie a caramel macchiato, she liked it.Friendly, knowledgeable service. Reasonably priced. Handy for campus and the general area. Would be a nice place to sit and talk or work. Free street parking.

sick!! what ppl mean when they say third space. coffee shop and seating space in the basement of a church. lots of space. good for a group hang, a study group, a convo, meeting, or study sesh. so many board games, a large seating space, a quiet vibe (at least when I went) and a mix of chairs and couches. lots of care put into this space. love it.

I noticed this coffee shop on Yelp and as a coffee shop explorer, I planned on visiting at some point. I didn't get the chance to swing by until recently. I wasn't sure what to expect with it being on OSU campus and I certainly didn't think that it was legit, underground.. In a basement. Although, duh, why not? I guess it was started by a church and is a nonprofit. It defiintely gave off a basement below a church vibe. It was really dark, which is one reason I'm giving the experience a three star. Not my style at all. The staff was nice but for it being empty in there and I only ordered a tea, it did take a hot second to get my drink. There's a ton of old tables and chairs, lounge furniture, and a bar against the wall. I decided to sit there since it was the most well lit area. The bathroom was clean but small and I thought it was weird that they left the doors propped open. Not quite the privacy that I would prefer. Cool things are that they serve the local OneLine Coffee. They describe themselves as a no obligation space, so making a purchase isn't required. They also had board games. While I don't plan to return, I totally get why students would enjoy it.

At the basement of Indianola Church of Christ, this is such a great, dare say somewhat hidden gem in the community. They don't force religion upon you as you enter. They're just being truly deliberate and meaningful to the ideals of their respective faith background in what it means to provide refuge and service to fellowship. It's quite spacious with a cute, roomy interior with great drinks very reasonably priced. This is the go-to study place when looking for somewhere quiet yet homey. Especially if one lives off-campus and looking for a nearby escape. If living off E. Lane, Indiana, E. Northwood, N. Pearl, etc. this should be a regular spot for you.

It's awesome! They have a great study area, whether it's the open chairs and tables, and also an open library for students to be able to study that's really nice, especially with COVID shutting down the campus libraries. 10/10!

Went to study at underground throughout college and it is such an amazing place! Took so many online exams here throughout covid, the hours of the coffee shop were amazing you could really wake up early and study throughout the whole day here. The free parking is amazing. Additionally the coffee is cheap and the staff is so caring and kind, have made my day on hard ones so many times. Would give coffee underground an 100 if I had the ability to. Encourage you to check it out!

Great coffee shop to study, hangout, or meet people if you're open to sitting and talking with strangers. Better than the expensive high street coffee scene where you can't actually spend time there because seating is ridiculous or prices are expensive. Pros: Coffee underground is spacious, affordable, good one line coffee with a la marzoco machine, and has free parking, board games, great seating, decent music.Cons: it was a bit hot during the summer and could have been a cooler, some of the couches have uncomfortable covers that were stiff, windows had blinds down so it's dimmer inside then it needed to be. Overall, this seems like a work or study space but should be the hangout spot for anyone who wants to spend time at a coffee shop
