I got to try Coco Cat Confections at the Hot Times Festival in Olde Towne East this evening. They had a cute little food truck/stand serving up some delicious treats.I walked by the stand for two days and my partner said let's get some. We both got the MUNCHIE BUSTER BOWL and it was amazing. We had different topping and was able to customize it. It was beyond delicious and simply delightful! Fresh fruit and that chocolate is amazing! It you see the stand around town you simply gotta treat yourself. You will not be disappointed.

Homemade fine chocolates! Pricey flavored chocolates. Uniquely flavored chocolates. There's chocolates sold in bite-size morsels, others in bar form (think hotel bar soap size). A+ for having samples out of the flavors they were selling this day. I tried several of the flavors. Pick one bar? Yeah, good luck with that one. I love chai tea, so obviously that was a must. The Pipe Dreams has a tiny kick (cayenne pepper?) as it slides down your throat. Nice balance of heat and sweet! Since I'm not to much of a PURE chocolate kinda gal, and the price point of these sweets obviously scream "Give me as an upscale gift!", I'll reserve my newly gained knowledge of Coco Cat for special treats, or if I've had a horrendous day at work and need chocolate to even the scales of stress!

I found this place while exploring North Market and decided to give it a try because I liked what I saw. The display of chocolates was completely mesmerizing and contained a wide variety of truffles and handmade candy bars. The shop owner was very friendly and also gave recommendations on what to try. I tried only two truffles because I was so full from all the foods I tried before: Lavender Hand Rolled Truffle: The truffle itself was very dense and rich with a strong presence of cocoa. Every bite melted in my mouth just like any good quality chocolate. What ruined this one was the lavender flavoring which was so overpowering that all I could taste was cocoa and lavender.Vietnamese Cinnamon Hand Rolled Truffle: I really enjoyed this one. The cinnamon and honey in the truffle paired perfectly with the strong cocoa flavor and the chocolate itself was very rich.If I was ever in the area again, I would probably come by to try their handmade candy bars and white chocolate items.

This new chocolate spot in the North Market caught my attention right away because I have a cat named Coco. Obviously I had to buy something so I could show Coco that people were naming businesses after her because she's a good kitty. She didn't care, but I'm glad I stopped because this place is great. They have the most unusual chocolate bars with exotic flavors, but the thing that caught my attention was the unique texture of the bars. Instead of being hard, snappy chocolate they have a soft, slightly chewy consistency that I found very pleasant. I also tried a chocolate covered pretzel that was stuffed with caramel and peanut butter that was made in house. This was big enough to share. They would make great stocking stuffers.Don't miss the cashew brittle. This is another one with a really masterful texture. It somehow doesn't stick in your teeth like regular brittle, it just melts away. There's talk of beverages and fondue in the future, so I'll have to go back. Get your paws on some Coco Cat. Meow!

We needed some drinks during our most recent NM visit, and found their little cooler. Incredibly, there were quite a few drinks for kids: water, juice boxes, even Yoohoo. Plus Clearly Canadian and a few other adult drinks. That's all we got, but we saw the amazing chocolates and will definitely be back to try some of those. Reasonable prices, good service, and a pleasant surprise to find exactly what Baby K needed to drink.

The chocolates are excellent and great quality, however I found that the truffles lacked in flavor. The flavor is either nonexistent or hidden with salt or dark chocolate. But I also had the candied/chocolate orange and it was very good.

The actual chocolate was fine with a good texture and flavor, but the flavor profiles put together seemed off.I thought I'd review each of the chocolates we chose:Peanut butter cateye - The peanut butter filling is the same you would find in any standard buckeye or peanut butter bar. However, there was not enough chocolate to balance the peanut butter and the salt on top didn't meld with the chocolate.Lavender Truffle - I gave one of my two stars solely for the true lavender flavor of this truffle. The drawback here is that it was very overwhelming instead of subtly working with the chocolate. Perhaps a white chocolate would have worked better.Spiced Peach - I was really looking forward to this one, as I love peach, ganache, and spice. The cayenne pepper on top complete blew out the other flavors, so I didn't get any of the peach flavor,l. Just ganache and spice.Overall, I am fairly disappointed. I doubt I will give them another try, since not a one out of three even seemed average to me.

I received some chocolates from Coco Cat for my birthday including some chocolate fudge, a salted caramel dipped in white chocolate and sprinkled with lavender, a chocolate-covered candied orange, and a couple truffles. I can't speak much to the price as the chocolates were a gift, but the flavors were good. My major complaint was that some of the candies were a bit on the hard side, particularly my caramel and candied orange, and that one of my truffles was basically just an expensive buckeye. Overall, I would buy chocolates here again, probably more as a gift than as something I would just eat on my own for a dessert.

While standing in line to order at Flavors of India, I noticed Coco Cat right across the aisle, so dessert was a no-brainer. I got chocolate covered Orange and Lemon slices. Both had a bit of rosemary sprinkled on the chocolate, which was interesting and the Lemon also had a bit of lavender which to me was kind of odd tasting. I would definitely get the orange again, no doubt about it!
