What happens when you take Applebees, take away the food and all the draft beer, save for Bud Light, Yuengling, Elvis Juice and Blue Moon? You get the Cliffside Sports Bar. Throw in mediocre TVs, poor service, and lack of COVID protocol (they didn't even wipe down tables between guests), and you might just get the worst "bar" in Ohio... maybe the world.

Cliffside is a good dive bar. It has a pretty standard beer selection with mostly stuff like Bud and Miller. They do have a few crafts in bottles if you need that. Mixed drinks are pretty good. They are poured fairly strong. It doesn't look like much. It's in a crummy strip mall along McKinley Avenue where there isn't much going on. The bar is right next to a pizza place. It lets you bring in food. You can also order pizza from the bar and they will bring it over to you. I had a vodka with cranberry. It was about $3 for a glass. The drink was pretty strong. It's a nice stop if you're in the area. Maybe it's not worth a long drive. The bar doesn't get too crowded often.

Cliffside is everything you want from a hole in the wall bar! It's a classic pool, darts and friends type of spot. It's a casual place where you don't need to dress up - just show up as yourself! The bartenders will make sure you've got everything you need.

Stopped in here the other day on my way back home. Typical sports bar kinda place with a pizza place right next door that you can order food from through a little window they have cut out between the two places.People there were pretty nice with about 9 men and women hanging around the bar. Sat down and watched a little television and fed the crack machine for a while. Had a couple beers and headed home.I'd say there's nothing to write home about and I wouldn't go out of my way to come again but if I'm ever driving by.....sure.

This to me is a true dive bar. It is full of regulars, old TVs, the same bartenders for years, and it is in a small strip of stores- and I love it!We have stopped in for dinner and a couple of drinks and we've spent 6 or 7 hours in here watching football all day. Either way, it is great. We usually have great service from the bartenders, they are really personable. The food comes from next door at Casa di Pizza which is some of the best pizza in town. It is all handled by the bartender though so you just sit down and place your order and enjoy. There is no food on Sundays though. For a chill night and good food- this is your place!

Let me start by saying if you're looking for a trendy spot with 30 craft beers on tap and infusion drinks, look elsewhere. Cliffside is an unpretentious, chill spot to grab a bucket of beer and some shots with friends. I've been coming to Cliffside since they opened...maybe 10-11 years ago?! I don't get over there as much as when I lived 5 minutes away, but we still make the trip from the near east side from time to time. In all of that time, I've always had good service from friendly bartenders. The beers are always cheap and the shots/drinks are always a good pour. It's a great place to get together with your friends and blow off some steam, catch up, shoot some pool or throw some darts. There are plenty of TV's to catch a game as well. The fact that you can get Casa di Pizza (next door) from the bar is a huge bonus!!I miss having a spot like Cliffside close to home, and will continue coming out here for a good, chill night of good drinks & pizza with our friends!

Decent place to have a beer, enjoy some pizza (or a chicken parm sandwich) from next door, and interact with locals from the area. If you want food, order from the bar; don't make the same mistake I did and just walk up to the cut-out next to Casa di Pizza next door and hit the bell. There are four large televisions behind the bar, which you can see even from the side, albeit at an angle. You won't be wowed by the amenities, but it's not a bad spot to stop in for a drink.

Came here for a retirement party as this is way out of my area. It's defines a dive bar in every way. It's hard to judge the bar because we had quite the crowd but the bartender did a great job keeping up with everyone's orders. The bar has a pizza shop next to it and we had pizza. The crust was crunchy and a decent amount of toppings I just thought the sauce wS too sweet. Anyhow I don't think this bar has had any remodeling since it opened because it all looked pretty well worn. There's a smattering of old and new televisions. Some pool tables and dart boards. Seems like it's a neighborhood hangout.

10/10 dive bar. Great prices for beer and great prices/pours for liquor. They have 4 pool tables 4 dart boards and a bunch of tvs for sports. Great place if you aren't looking for anything extra just straight to the point dive bar.

the bar itself is really nice but the service was terrible. it wasn't even busy so I can only imagine what it's like when it is.
