Growing up, my family had a Chinese buffet we used to love to go to as a family. It had so many food options, was always hot, and a nice place to sit down. It isn't gourmet, but it's always delicious. I haven't been to a Chinese buffet since I've lived in Columbus, but I had a craving for it. I wanted lo mein, crab Rangoon, dumplings, and black pepper chicken. This buffet is exactly what I wanted. $13 for unlimited plates of food, fresh orange and pineapple slices, egg custards, AND vanilla soft serve ice cream. It was all my nostalgia wrapped up in a nice little building. The staff were very friendly. It was about half full the whole time I was there, and it seems like there are a lot of regulars. I'll definitely be back. When you think of a solid Chinese buffet, this is what you're looking for.

Worst Chinese Restaurant I have ever been in my life. I stopped there at 12:30 p.m. for lunch because I was in mood for Chinese food. It's a buffet with steam tables. The food was barely lukewarm. It was all bland and the steam rice was mushy and not hot. I have used rice cookers and it's difficult not to be hot. I will never go back never ever. Service was okay. It was dark and booth needed repair. Sorry I didn't take pictures. I hope someone out there had a better experience than I did.

I really like Chinese food. So it means I should like the China City Buffet right? The thing about Chinese buffets is they care more about how much food they have. It's not as important to make that food good. That all being said this is not as bad as it could be. I know a lot of South Siders are looking for maximum eats for maximum cheap. It's about $8 for the all you can eat buffet. This is why this place still gets business. It's not the worst of the worst. It's still better than the Rice Bowl. There were some things on the buffet that appeared to be not fresh. It is pretty cheap though. Since you can get as much as you want who cares how good it is, that seems to be the way of thinking here. Another annoying thing is the TV. It makes it really hard to enjoy your crummy meals. For some reason they have it on full blast. They always have it on all those lame Dr. shows: Phil, Oz, Pepper. I would avoid China City Buffet and try somewhere that may have to pay a little more but there's a better chance of the meal staying inside you until you get home. It's not the worst but I can't bring myself here. Would recommend to those on a budget without too high standards.

Honestly if I could give this zero stars I would... this food is disgusting, I ordered two large coconut shrimps, crab ragoon, fried chicken wings, and two orders of pork dumplings. The coconut shrimp was good tbh, but then when I got to the fried chicken it was extremely hard and leathery. I moved on and went to my dumplings honey when I tell you these were the NASTIEST THINGS I HAVE EVER PUT IN MY MOUTH... This pork was NOT fresh! PERIOD! I started to eat and almost puked.

When I buy wong tong soup from other restaurants it cost me $4.95 to $5.95. When I buy the China City Buffet, they charge me $11. Enough said.

Service and ambiance were great, food, not so much. My husband and I arrived within 15 minutes of opening, and we could tell several things were leftover from the day before (at the least). The chicken for the sweet and sour chicken was hard, really hard. The general tso chicken was candied like, and hard. The hot and sour soup had an off smell and taste, when I pointed it out she told me it tasted fine to her. Before we even left the restaurant I got sick and spent the rest of the day in bed or on the toilet. If you decide to chance it, good luck

We always get great service here and the food is better than most other Chinese buffets in the area. The peanut butter chicken was extra crunchy on the outside and cooked perfectly on the inside. In
