I love this shop. The food is amazing, the space is very cute, and the staff pleasant. I've been twice and had the salmon daily special twice. The salmon panini was so good, with fresh dill. It came with chips and a drink (iced tea for me). The salmon salad I had on my second visit was a large portion and so delicious, served with again, fresh dill, and a chunk of ciabetta bread, with poppyseed dressing. The piece of salmon was warm. I chose their Cinnamon Dolce iced latte to drink. Tasty, and made with coconut milk. Highly recommend!

Stumbled upon this little shop in Downtown Delaware and couldn't have been any luckier. The shop is deceivingly large and spacious on the inside and offers a good amount of seating. It looks as if they have outdoor seating but it was not available when I was there. I ordered the Chicken Sandwich which comes with grilled chicken, lettuce, tomato, onion and a delicious chipotle mayo on crispy focaccia. Absolutely delicious and my favorite thing I tried. The other sandwich we ordered was the White Italian which has ricotta cheese, mozzarella, lettuce, tomato and basil pesto on focaccia. This is a very decadent but delicious sandwich. Would definitely order again. Lastly I shared a full size greek salad and was pleasantly surprised by the freshness and amount of added veggies.

I feel like the size of the sandwiches were in line with the price. the sandwiches were good! I had the Chelley Belly and my wife had the Smoky. what impressed me the most was the 99 rating for the health rating. Since yelp added this, we use the app exclusively. I am amazed at some of the scores here in Ohio that are so low. Ohio should require posting those score similar to NC. Plan to come back often.

I'll echo what several other reviewers have stated: the customer service here is poor.My girlfriend and I stopped in for lunch today because she wanted broccoli and cheddar soup. We called ahead to confirm its availability. They told us yes.It was around 1 pm (they close at 3 pm) by the time we arrived. The restaurant only had a cup of soup left in the kettle. Okay, fine. Instead of ordering a second cup for me, I told the employee taking our order that my girlfriend would have that, and I'd try the squash soup.We added a smoky turkey sandwich to our order, an iced chai and a coffee. Everything was good until this point. But as it turns out, they never served the broccoli soup. Naturally, I inform them that it's missing from my order. She tells me we didn't order it and that they don't have any left. When we asked about it, we saw her ladle the soup into a cup. Funny how it magically disappears. Don't try to gaslight me for your screw up. Make it right. We weren't charged for the soup, to be fair. However, the employee did not attempt to correct her mistake. They didn't even offer an alternative for the trouble. It came out to more than $20 for very little food for the two of us. The sandwich was only okay. Honestly, it was pretty small. My girlfriend didn't enjoy the squash soup although, we both enjoyed the drinks. Overall, not impressed. Not sure I'll be returning. Maybe I'll give the business another chance, as it was my first visit. We'll see.

Overpriced, small sandwiches that are decent but not amazing. These days I am always looking for a new place to experience. I stopped in today (3/11/19) at noon for lunch with my family. I have a toddler with me so I am looking for places that have High chairs, kids menus and changing tables. This place had 2 out of 3, the one missing was the changing table. Order:Chelley Belly $6.09Turkey, Ham, Roast Beef, Salami, Swiss, Romaine, Tomato, Onion, Pickle & Mayonnaise on French Baguettekids meal - Little D's PB & J $4.59Creamy Peanut Butter, Strawberry Jam on Toasted Soft Bread. The meal also comes with either milk or a pop. When I was looking over the menu I noticed a "pick two" for $8.29, it sounded great at first but then I realized that the price was ridiculious! A cup of soup is $4.59, and a whole sandwich is $5.99-$6.39. I didnt choose this for 2 reasons:1.) limited options - only pick between Turkey swiss, Ham swiss, Italian, Grilled cheese.2.) price - a 1/2 sandwich costs $4, what?!?I might as well just order a cup of soup and a whole sandwich and then I can order what ever sandwich I want. The sandwiches don't come with anything which normally isn't a problem if the sandwich has enough meat on it to fill me up. However in this case I felt that the price was very high compared to what I ended up with. The sandwich itself was ok, but it didn't wow me. I was disappointed at how skimpy it was.The Kids meal - for the price it only came with a sandwich and a drink, I felt for the price it should have come with fruit, chips, cookie or all 3.Over all I was not that impressed and I have had better. The price for what we received was really the main issue here today.** high chairs = yes, only 1** kids menu = yes** changing table in the bathroom = no

Well, the sandwiches were okay albeit overpriced for as small as they were. My husband asked for extra onions on his- he took the top off and there was one, 1 onion. The lady that took our order was surly, and the other lady never spoke. Flashback to the last time I was there. My two kids were with me and we ordered. The woman told us milk came with their meals. My children hated, and still do, milk. I asked if I could substitute- no, was the reply. So I ordered 3 sodas with the two milks which were forced upon me. I was so mad. I opened the milks, took a sip out if both and pitched them. Childish, maybe but a restaurant shouldn't be able to dictate what I, as the parent, give my children.Fast forward to today. I wanted to like this place as I am a huge supporter of my hometown establishments- this place missed the mark again. My daughter asked for the soup and 1/2 a sandwich and was told no, her salmon sandwich could not be halved. I've been making sandwiches my whole life and never knew you could only half certain kinds. The customer is never right here. However, if you loved Seinfeld- go! The soup nazi is still working.

My boyfriend and I stopped in here on a cold, Fall day because 1.) We were starving, 2.) I'm pregnant and soups + sammies are really hitting the spot lately, and 3.) You can only get Panera Bread so many times before you're just sick of it.We have never been in here before, but we appreciated that everything was clean. The employees behind the counter didn't greet us or recommended anything, but we found the menus and ordered anyway.I got the grilled cheese on sourdough with a cup of chicken + wild rice soup. My boyfriend got the smokey panini with the butternut squash soup.Ummmm, okay, people. My grilled cheese was AWESOME! It was perfectly hot and gooey. So delicious! My soup was good also, but I think next time I might try a different one.My boyfriend's smokey panini was off the hook! The turkey, cheese, romaine, and chipotle mayo just tasted so great together. I'm not even a big fan of turkey (unless it's Thanksgiving), but this was just exceptional! His butternut squash soup was amazing, too! I kept dipping my sammie in it (you have to share with your pregnant girlfriend!)My boyfriend and I weren't impressed with the service, but the food was MORE THAN amazing. We can't wait to go back!

I've been here twice and I've been disapointed both times. It's just ok. Not sure if I'm expecting a Panera Bread style service and food or what but if you are, you will not be happy. The broccoli cheese soup was microwaved. That's about all you have to say for a "sandwich and soup" shop! You have to ask for and pay extra for a baguette with your soup - seems odd to me!I asked for broccoli be added to my classic salad but they "don't have broccoli"...you make broccoli cheese soup...you should have had broccoli sometime.Service is painstakingly slow, you can try going to lunch (1hr) but you might not make it back to the office.

Since my last review, we actually moved a couple of hours away, but we still visit Delaware to see friends. Every trip to Delaware includes a stop at Chelly Belly. They still have some of the best sandwiches around. Even with COVID, it's still a great place to eat in or take out. They don't have the sweet treats they used to have but they still have a great selection of hot and cold drinks and the staff is always outstanding. They still don't skimp on the toppings for the sandwiches either. If you're in Delaware and want a great sandwich then Chelly Belly is the place.
