Cheers and Lakeside Chalet

We booked Cheers Chalet in Lancaster, Ohio after our original venue double booked and cancelled our reservation (2 days after 100 invitations went out!) I stumbled on Cheers Chalet by widening my search to venues around Columbus (instead of just "in" Columbus, Ohio). Cheers Chalet & Lakeside is a wonderful gem in Lancaster. The setting is so beautiful, and you will not find a more accommodating group of people! From the event manager, to the hostess, and the bartender, they were all so nice, professional and attentive to every single detail to make sure that our night was perfect! They kindly worked with our budget and were very creative in helping us have the "dream reception" the bride wanted. You will not find a more beautiful place and wonderful people! They have perfected customer service. Highly recommend.

We recently had our baby shower here, and it was a really nice time. The venue itself is gorgeous. Everyone who came basically said as much. I don't think it's worth the price, but it is definitely gorgeous. We had the event catered also, and unfortunately, their catering left a lot to be desired. The taco bar was supposed to come with beans, but it didn't, so the vegetarians in attendance (and there were more than a few) were hard-pressed to make a meal out of it. We were also promised chips and salsa that we never got. But the biggest frustration with the catering is that they won't let you take the leftovers home. So we had a lot of food left -- that we paid for, obviously -- and we just had to throw out because of some ridiculous policy. That in itself is enough to forgo the catering; you will inevitably throw some money away. Overall, this will make a beautiful setting for any event, but it is way too expensive, and the catering is a raw deal.

I just attended my grandson's wedding at the Chalet. It was such a lovely time. Everything was beautiful! The wedding took place outside on the patio. There is a beautiful gazebo attached to the hall where the reception was going to be held. It was decorated with little lights and flowers and crystal beads hanging from the ceiling. I'm really not doing a good job describing just how pretty it was. The staff was amazing and the food was hot and delicious. The hall was big enough for all of us. Since my grandson was paying for this himself, he kept the guest at around 50 people. There was plenty of room so that you weren't banging chairs trying to get up from the table. There was plenty of room for dancing. Everyone had a great time. Everything was wonderful. I would highly recommend this venue for any kind of celebration. The Chalet sits on a little lake, and that just made for some lovely pictures. I can't say enough good things about this place. You have to see it for yourself. You won't be disappointed.

Our daughter's wedding was held at Cheers in October, 2021. It was literally the most perfect event from beginning to end. Our coordinator, Ashley, was outstanding to work with. She has such a calming effect on nervous brides and their parents!! All of the guests were so impressed with the beauty of the venue, the quality of the food, (Roman pasta sauté) and the wonderful staff. We booked the fun bus for the safety of our guests and it was worth every penny. I would highly recommend Cheers for a wedding or any event!

Food is par for the course when it comes to catering style food. Nothing above normal. They do have a buffet that was offered on Mother's Day that was better than the other catered events I've been to.
