Central Ohio Tae Kwon DO Clintonville Branch

Run by Laura Clements. She is a 7th Dan Tae Kwon Do black belt, a 6th Dan in Haidong Gum Do, a 5th Dan in Hapkido, and 3rd Dan in Gongkwon Yusul. I consider her a bit of a hidden treasure in Columbus. She is extremely skillful and a remarkable instructor. My son and daughter attended from the ages of about 5 -14, both achieving black belts in Tae Kwon Do: they loved it and her. I achieved a 2nd Dan black belt and was never in better shape. She has promoted over 100 students to black belt. Her awards and accomplishments are too many to list here.She is especially good with children as a teacher and mentor. She also has experience teaching children with ADHD/ADD, as well as mildly autistic, deaf, and special needs children and adults. At all hours, children would be in her studio and office, practicing forms, talking, doing homework, and relaxing. It was like an after school club for teenagers. The studio is inviting, warm, and friendly, not competitive or aggressive at all. After a while, going there felt like being part of big family.
