Being a young Jewish individual in Columbus, I've sought out some homemade treats (like my grandmother used to spoil me with). At a Shabbat event I attended, we had a challah taste test and my absolute favorite was from Chani's (who is in charge of the Torah Center). Ever since, I've traveled all the way to Bexley to get a loaf or two for Friday night. Nothing beats Chani's challah, definitely the best in town! On a Thursday or Friday you can find some fantastic, freshly prepare Jewish foods for sale. Everything from salads, chicken, side dishes, and of course desserts. I suggest trying the chocolate babka. Just try to get there early for a fresh loaf of challah. Chani will happily offer you a frozen loaf is she is out, but the fresh baked are the best. Even if you aren't used to traditional Jewish fare, try it out to see how delicious it can be!

Chani's food is by far the best place to get kosher food in Columbus. Her challah is known for being the best in town. If you attend an event like a bar/bat mitzvah, wedding or shul event where she is catering, you'll be in heaven. There just isn't anything in town that comes close to the taste and quality. My family says there are "holy sparks" put into everything she makes. :) Plus everything is displayed beautifully with baskets, flowers and colors. It's top notch. We only wish she had a kosher restaurant open so we could eat here all the time! For high holidays and Passover you can order online which is very convenient.
