Carpenter's Market

Nice little market in downtown. The prices are a bit high, but you pay for conscience. They normally have everything I'm looking for. I read bad reviews about their meat dept., but if found it to be quite nice! Good sales at times, and always good quality. They have a house made chicken salad that is delicious. Overall a nice little store, again they do have higher prices, but it beats going out to the big box stores when you find you are suddenly out of a needed item.

The ribeye steaks we bought last weekend were so chewy we couldn't even eat them. What a waste of money. Over the years their steaks were the best around. Do yourself a favor and save your money, go somewhere else!!

I am appalled at this store because of the poor quality of meat that they sell. They butcher it themselves but where they buy their meat is the question! The steaks are of poor quality and this last time we tried them they were nothing but tough and full of gristle. Last time I shop there and I've given them good business in the past. They're too expensive anyway. Back to Walmart for me...their meat is great!!!

This family-owned and run business is about as good as it gets! They have the most awesome meat counter one has ever seen in this day and age. If you like fresh meats displayed in an old-fashioned type meat case, you are in for a treat! The people who help you are as nice and helpful as they come. They also sell meats in quantity at a great discount. Their meat is the best!!! Steaks melt in your mouth! Since they are a small grocery store you can also pick up bread and other essentials for dinner. They also sell fresh local produce when in season. We LOVE this market and drive over an hour to go there. Worth every mile!
